I rolled my eyes as I stared at the immense building before me. It was Mr. Mayor's mansion.
The guard welcomed me once he knew what I was there for. He showed me the direction to the mayor’s lawyer's office, which was on the fourth floor of the building. His mansion itself was a whole other town. On my way upstairs, I saw maids, cooks, and I don’t know who else. Sadly, they didn’t let me use the elevator. I had to walk those endless stairs for a few minutes.
"Why does this place have so many stairs?" I mumbled, looking tired. The third floor was where I stopped to catch my breath. I’m pretty sure I was out of shape for such hard cardio.
"Because you can’t fly to the upper floor, genius." I heard a heavy voice coming from behind me. I cocked my face and recognized the guy as the mayor’s assistant. So much for not encountering any of them. That was my initial plan. I wanted to never bump into any of them, just submit the forms and run out of here.
"I wonder what these elevators are for?" I innocently passed a comment, trying to be sneaky when being sarcastic.
"These are for the royals only. A person needs to know their place." He didn’t hesitate to shoot back. That wasn’t very nice of him. He mumbled with his eyes at the elevators, pretending to be a harmless man in a suit.
"Oh, and I thought Mr. Mayor treated everyone with equality. That’s a shame. The town’s motto is something like---oh! I don’t even remember what it was since the very first day I arrived. I saw justice being served."
I replied and tied my hands over my chest. He was shocked to hear the taunt. Wasn’t expecting it, eh?
The fact that they claimed to be self-righteous people yet didn’t believe in equality was just something I couldn’t wrap my head around.
"If I were you, I would head straight to the office before I piss off anyone else." Now that he was out of words, he hissed at me in a threatening tone.
He scoffed one more time before taking the elevator. Just when the door to the elevator was about to close, he smirked at me.
I get it. I wasn’t royal enough to take an elevator like him.
It wasn’t hard to guess where the office was since the directions were written everywhere. I steadily walked inside the office, thinking things would go back to normal from here on. But I was only in for another surprise.
"Argh!" A little scream escaped my lips before I gathered myself as quickly as I could.
They talked about obscenity and here they were having sex in the office.
"I’m doomed." I gasped, screwed for witnessing such a thing.
The lady had her shirt open, and her skirt rose to her stomach. I could clearly see the guy’s di*k go in and out of her vag*na while she had her legs spread across and resting on either side of the chair. She was sitting in his lap, facing me. Her boobs were bouncing up and down with every thrust he made inside her.
"I’m so sorry." I apologized, looking away after I had seen almost all of it. I have really put myself in an awkward situation.
"Ugh! Fuc*ng interruptions," she growled, jumping off the guy.
"Damn! Do you girls ever knock?" The lady, who was in her late twenties and wearing a short, white, knee-length skirt with red lipstick and hair tied in a bun, growled. She was rambling and adjusting her clothes swiftly.
The guy was still seated on the chair, looking all annoyed. I mean, he got co*k blocked.
"I’m so sorry. I just came here to submit these forms." My hand trembled as she collected the forms from me. Suddenly, they were normal, like nothing had happened. I gazed at both of them as they argued about who was not doing their fair share of work and wasting time.
Damn! They were having s*x not even a few minutes ago.
"Next time, make sure you knock. It will save you the trouble of dealing with the awkwardness." The lady sighed, pulling her leg over the other leg.
"Just suc* my di*k. I cannot deal with it standing like a tower." The guy didn’t even care until his eyes landed on me.
"Come back later to collect the citizenship ID card from us." The man lowered his head to pay attention to the files before him. I gave a nod and walked out of the office, exhaling the stressful breath that had been blocking my brain from the moment I had stepped inside.
But the surprise wasn’t over there yet. Walking through the corridors and finding a way downstairs, totally forgetting the direction charts, I heard a loud moan coming from the last room on that floor. My heart skipped a beat. It wasn’t a moan of pleasure, but of pain and torment. It was heart-wrenching, and the agony in her moans could shiver from anyone’s world to unconsciousness.
I tracked down the source of the voice and stood silently in front of the door. I found it easier to spy on because the door was open. My only intention was to see if the girl was doing okay, because it didn’t sound normal.
The noises were submerged by whipping and with the slapping sounds.
I held my breath back, looking here and there to make sure no one was seeing me. A drop of sweat rolled down my forehead, but I was too scared to swipe it off. I didn’t want to make a noise. Keeping both of my palms on my chest, I peeked inside the room, secretly. And I wish I hadn’t done that. It was the mayor, but all I could see was his upper naked body. The room contained a master bed and some explicit pictures all over the walls. I couldn’t see the entire room because the sight had occupied me. Mr. Mayor was standing on the other side of the bed, leaning against a girl whose face and naked body was visible enough to recognize her.
I removed my hands from my chest and covered my lips to prevent the scream of terror from escaping my lips. The sight was horrifying. She had her hands on the bed and her face lowered down. He kept thrusting inside her from behind. The entire scene made me shiver horribly. I had seen many people having sex before, but this wasn’t something that happens normally.
Sadly, the girl was none other than my only friend in town, Olivia.
"Spank me please," she requested, making me bite my bottom lip. Her boobs were all red and covered in hickeys.
He ran his hand over the roundness of her bum before he slapped her hard.
"Arhhh!" The scream sounded full of agony, but the satisfied smile on her lips told me this was her kink.
"I love you, Xavier." She moaned. I took a deep breath, feeling a weird anxiety. So, he wasn’t forcing himself on her. She had come here willingly.
Maybe that was just their kink.
"Shhhh," I hugged myself when his husky, rough voice fell on my ears. It was almost like I could feel his hands on my body. The goosebumps had covered my entire skin. And that was it. I couldn’t take it anymore. That beast won’t stop slapping her butt and drilling nails through her skin. He even yanked her hair and dug her face under the pillow as he turned her around. What was he up to? He was literally making her out of breath.
"Please do it," she requested once again, and he nodded.
My heart started pounding in my chest. My eyes were full of tears. Was he going to kill her? He removed the pillow in the next second and even pulled away from her.
"No! Please don’t stop," the look on her face as she shook her head and begged him to fuc* her some more made me feel bad for her.
The way she raised her palms to plead before him to fuc* her and the smirk on his lips made me feel disgusted. He looked satisfied with her begging for him.
He then wrapped his fingers around her neck and locked her lips with his.
That was their thing, I guess. And I shouldn’t be watching it. I have heard of people having kinks, but I could never sign up for anything like that. I didn’t have that strength in my body to let anyone slap me or spank me. And I was a pretty dry girl. I didn’t have any kinks.
I strolled away, but I could still hear her moan. Love is a name of the sweetest feelings that comforts you, gives you pleasure, and lets you know you are special, but this was something beyond what I’ve heard about love. Being tormented and the pain you receive when kissed is not love, it is addiction. Especially when you have to beg him to satisfy you.
There were workers down who weren’t there when I arrived. I decided to get out of shock and forget about it. It would be rude to show anything to Olivia when I meet her again. I managed to convince myself that it was all okay. It was fine if that’s what she wanted. It was their relationship, and people decide what fun and romance is for them. For me, it is a beautiful and full-of-respect thing.
"Just keep moving. Why are you guys so damn lazy?" It was Mayor’s assistant, Jace. He was sitting peacefully on the comfortable sofa, enjoying a mojito, while scolding the poor workers.
I rolled my eyes and bit my tongue in anger. This place was worse than a wh*re house, and the people here were ruthless.
"And next time, you better make an appointment before you show up." It was a comment he had passed on to me.
I stopped in my tracks and bit my tongue, convincing myself to walk away instead of messing with him.
"I’ll do what I should once you all start taking your responsibilities seriously," I replied and sped towards the exit. And I thought I'd just slide in a comment and escape, but obviously, his ego was hurt.
"Hold on, stop." I heard his commanding voice. I stopped in my steps and gulped, gathering all the courage I could find to face him.
"You just called me incompetent, didn’t you?" He stood close to me, staring into my eyes. Awkwardly, the first thing we both did was stare at each other’s every facial feature for a few seconds. That was unintentional.
"You know what?" I raised a brow, trying to come up with something when I noticed his eyes traveling to my lips and wandering back to my eyebrow. His eyes seemed to stalk my facial expression.
"Maybe you should walk more. That would help you shed some weight off your brai---" That was going to be a nasty insult, but his growl and the way he narrowed his eyes at me made me stop.
Surprisingly, he didn’t call for guards or announce punishment. He just stared at me with fake anger for a moment before he let out a scoff.
"Leave." That was the only word that came out of his mouth. It was his lucky day because I didn’t plan to stick around either. Not after I saw so many people having s*x in such a short time.
"How did the form submission go?" I raised my head from the plate to look at Derrell. Mia has gone all out when preparing breakfast for us. She knew I liked vegetarian tortilla casseroles, so she made them for me."It was good," I gulped before answering. The horrible behavior of Mr. Mayor was still haunting my mind, even though hours had passed. It happened last night but felt like minutes ago."Did you meet Mr. Mayor?" Derrell cleared his throat before asking me under his breath, as if he didn’t want anybody else to hear us. But there were only four of us sitting at the small wooden dining table. I don’t understand why they were so secretive in their own house."No, I head straight to the office," I replied, tugging a strand of hair behind my ear and trying to focus on the food on my plate."Did Mr. Jace show up?" There were countless unnecessary questions popping out of his mouth. He was trying to know something, but was using a subtle approach. I wasn’t very good at taking hints, s
"No!" I mumbled, shaking my head aggressively. It was then that I felt someone grabbing my shoulders and shaking me awake."Wake up, you are scaring the whole town," I heard Zoe dragging me out of sleep paralysis. I almost forgot about having sleep paralysis most of the night. I started having trouble sleeping after that incident in my past. I sat up in bed and wheezed."Dammit, it felt so real," I whispered under my breath. Maybe it was rooted in what I had seen the other night. I was sweating in the cold weather like crazy. Zoe was busy looking through my stuff when she finally turned to face me."By the way, what did you see? You were making all those weird noises like, ohh ah um mmm," She was making those weird faces and trying to mock me."Do you mind leaving?" I asked, feeling annoyed. She folded her arms on her chest at my demand, so I reckoned I needed to be a little more decent with my request."Look, I’m thankful that you woke me up, but I am still very sleepy. If I didn’t s
Mayor Xavier fixed his cufflinks and then turned to look at Jace."Bring him here, Jace," he ordered, breathing sexily. His side profile made me stare at his jawline. It was sharp enough to cut all his subjects in half. He shrugged his shoulders, seeing an old man being dragged out in the middle of the crowd.A sigh of relief exposed my lips, and I’m sure Olivia felt at ease too."This guy here," Mayor turned his body smoothly like a dance move and pointed a finger at the poor old man, who was shaking, "Is a pervert," he finished, and my heart sank in my chest. The crowd began to chatter once again. The disgust in their eyes made the old man lowered his gaze. I couldn’t comprehend if Mr. Mayor was telling the truth or punishing this man for fun."He needs to be punished, but I wonder how!" His fingers played with his lips as he pretended to brainstorm. Definitely, he came prepared. So the punishment was already decided.I peeked through the shoulder to shoulder and, sadly, everyone lo
It was not yet over. She seemed to shake when recalling how he broke up with her.“But he was in love with you, right? I’ve seen love in his eyes for you,” I mumbled, trying to make sense. Of course, I was wrong. You can’t tell by the looks if the person is loyal to love. To make it look like he was into her, he faked all those emotions. Mr. Mayor is definitely an expert in faking smiles.“I’m still trying to figure out what it was. It felt so real.” She cradled her face in her hands and smiled weakly, probably recalling a memory of him.“Did he force you to sleep with him? Or coerced you?” I felt like asking her that question. If what she is saying is right, then he only wanted sex from her.“No, he didn’t force me to sleep with him, not even once. I made the first move. He kept avoiding the topic of sex, so I made him talk about it. I convinced him, almost begged him to sleep with me,” She spoke the truth, regardless of how desperate she would look.“Now he wants you to not get clos
It was the fear in my veins that I couldn’t even look away from him. I took a step back from him when he tilted his head and a frown appeared on his forehead. And only then did I realize that his subject of interest had shifted to Olivia. He clearly warned her against coming near him again. I wondered how she found out he was at our home."Olivia," I whispered, looking in her direction. They were both looking at each other; the feelings weren't the same though. She liked him, and he loathed her. I could tell from his looks that he didn’t want her anymore.I was annoyed with Olivia for acting so clingy. He told her they were done, but she kept appearing everywhere just to get glared down by him."Mom, is dad okay?" Just when the tension grew, Zoe rushed downstairs and stopped in the center. She was in her school skirt, her hair done in a braid. It wasn’t only I who noticed that, but Mr. Mayor’s frown turned into a smile. A smile I've never seen before, especially not for Olivia. Just t
I remained in my room for a few moments as the commotion downstairs devolved into chaos. It was around that time that I felt like I could not stay hidden in my room for too long.Derrell had recovered from the injuries he got from the fall. He had even joined his job again. Although I heard him complain about working now that he had tasted the luxuries Mr. Mayor had given us in the days of his sickness. I never denied the fact that Mr. Mayor helped us a lot. But that didn’t justify his arrival at our place at this time of night. I tip-toed to the corner of the wall, peeking downstairs secretly, seeing a group of guards standing around Mia and Derrell, who were on their knees. The sight instantly pulled goosebumps over my skin. The way they were shaking while on their knees felt like he was going to assassinate them. That’s when he finally appeared. Mr. Mayor! He was wearing a black tuxedo, as if he had arrived for a party. If only he hadn’t come at such a scary and odd hour of the nig
We had been staring into each other’s eyes for the last few minutes. He finally broke eye contact just so that he could inspect my face. I felt heat rushing to my cheeks when he was busy examining me.The next thing I remember was him scrunching his nose as if he had seen something he didn’t like. He took a step back, looking into my eyes once again. It wasn’t a mystery what message he was trying to convey. I wasn’t dying to get liked by him, but it hurt my ego when he shook his head and looked digested."You are not what I expected to find," he mumbled, and disappointment could be heard in his voice. My breathing has calmed down. I swallowed with difficulty, preventing the expressions of hurt from appearing on my face. He was no one to bruise my ego."I thought ---," he said, with a slow, disbelieving head shake while stepping further away from me.It was crazy how his rejection affected me. I didn’t want him to try anything, but the least he could do was to silently leave without ma
“Morning! What brings you so early?” Jace smirked, fixing his white coat. It wasn’t like we had known each other or communicated many times, yet I felt like arguing with him every time I see him.“I’ve come to see Mayor Xavier Charming,” I answered in a much more respectful tone. It was too early to have an argument with an asshole. I would have been on my way to speak to Mr. Mayor had Jace not come in my way.“I don’t think it’s a delightful time.” Jace bent his body over me, almost towering over me as he stared into my eyes.“It’s important, I’ve to meet him right now,” I insisted stubbornly, both looking into each other’s eyes. My hands were wrapped around my chest while he had his hands in his pants pockets.“Miss Important! That is a weird name. Mr. Mayor is attending an important meeting right now. He will be busy the whole day so how about I write you an appointment for another day? There was a smirk on his face when he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and raised a brow,
"Are you guys okay? Did he hurt any of you?" Xavier’s voice was so calm for me. Maddox wanted to hug his father. I was craving it too, but Jace was only triggered now. "Daddy, I don’t like my uncle," Maddox said in a broken voice. A tear of fear slowly rolled down his cheek. "You scared my son," Xavier said, his eyes stuck on Maddox when he mumbled, slowly playing with his cuff-links. ‘’We can sort it out please,’’ I was not in danger of losing anyone. ‘’Let him decide that,’’ Jace smiled, looking at Xavier but this time Jace wasn’t so calm as well. "You have one choice, cousin, either save your beloved wife or your minion son," Jace said, pointing his gun at both of us one by one. "Resist, and both of them die," he added."Xavier, please save him," I mumbled, turning to look into his eyes from a distance. ‘’And let you die? Never,’’ he uttered in his mouth, his eyes on Jace. "C’mon, the clock is ticking, bro. Make up your mind,’’ Jace voiced, ‘’choose one.’’ "Xavier, please
My heart was racing inside my chest. I have more to worry about now. It wasn’t only I in the room but my son, my life: Maddox. I slowly turned my body around, shivering at the thought of seeing him again after so long. ‘’Ah! It almost felt like a decade," his voice has turned heavy, his messy beard and long hair were showing that he never aimed to start over and waited for this moment his entire life. To hold on to revenge for that long, I must say he has no other ambitions for himself."Jace!" I announced, looking at the gun being pointed at me."Oh! You still remember my name?" He mocked me, clicking his tongue and shaking his head in disapproval."Why are you here?" I asked in panic, gulping as he reached for Maddox."Let him go," I said, looking in the direction of my son, whom Jace was holding by his tiny arm. Even the thought of him hurting my son was killing me. I wished he had been caught long ago. Just when I was finally happy in my life, he had to come ruin it for me.‘’Di
We were in Paris for the past two days. It was amazing, and the boys were having a lot of fun together."Dad, why did you marry my mother?" Maddox mumbled, trying to reach for an ice-cream as we three sat on the table in a restaurant. "Your mother," Xavier whispered, bowing in Maddox’s ear, "completes me. She makes me laugh, forces me into doing the right thing, fights with me to do things her way, and you know what’s the best part? I actually listen to her. I end up doing whatever she says," Xavier’s eyes were at me, his beautiful hawk eyes digging holes in mine. ‘’Why?’’ Maddox was not the type to quit asking questions, even for once. He was a very talkative soul.Because I love her. And when you love someone, you just do everything to make them happy. Making her happy makes me happy," He slowly blinked his eyes, reminding me of the time when I first saw him. I vividly remember the first day I saw him. And whenever he forced me to do something, I ended up forcing him to do it my w
"I can’t move," I laid in my bed, holding a book in my lap, and resting my head on the soft pillow. I looked at Xavier from the corner of my eyes. He was staring at me blankly. ‘’what?’’ I annoyingly spoke. ‘’You need to eat something,’’ He put his hands on his waist like a baby and mumbled. I was not starving myself, but every time he forced me to eat something, I felt wonderful. It was just that the morning sickness was too much for me.‘’Really? I didn’t know that," I tried to hold back my laugh and buried my head back in the book. ‘’You are starving my baby,’’ he pointed his finger at my belly and rolled his eyes."So you don’t care about me, just about your baby?" I was being a little annoying. I was arguing about everything; it’s not like I haven’t done that before, but yeah! I was four months pregnant and extremely moody."No," he replied bluntly, and then a smile appeared on his lips, "Okay! jokes apart, get up and eat something," he ordered, narrowing his beautiful eyes my
"This is so unfair," I broke down in tears instantly. Zoe deserved justice, even though Derrell got his punishment, but I wanted the extreme limits of torture for him."I’m coming home, Phoenix; please, calm yourself down," his voice was so calming to my ears at that moment that I looked at him and he looked uneasy."It’s okay. Don’t rush, I’ll be fine," I said, wiping away my tears with the back of my hand. I had to be prepared to talk to him about stuff, and I've got news for him as well. At the moment, I had a feeling that he knew I had seen everything.I took a shower and changed into a tight, white, knee-length dress. After hearing about my pregnancy, so much had changed in me. I was getting over disasters pretty quickly.I waited for Xavier while watching TV. I don’t know but suddenly the hopeless life was full of meanings and charms.I saw Xavier coming with the guards. His sight was shooting into my eyes. But he didn’t look pleased."Why didn’t you call me instantly?" He voice
Phoenix’s POV:I watched the person crawl in my direction, but my heart was pounding with every little detail of this person. It was Morgan, my uncle Morgan. He crawled like a dog near me, his eyes were sewed shut and so were his lips from the sides only. His fingers were cut, and his body was naked with just shorts on. He had no hair; his eyebrows were shaved, as was his head. He somehow knew it was me. The pain was visible on his face. My eyes jumped out of their sockets at the sight before them. He kept coming towards me, and the state of shock was so intense that I couldn’t move.I had no idea when he crawled over me. I was still sitting, but his whole existence was so terrible. Suddenly, Hardie left Jace on the ground and ran in my direction. I screamed, looking away and hugging myself. It was horrible. Hardie approached and grabbed Morgan by his collar. He had a collar on. Hardie punched him in the back and pulled him inside the room, locking him quickly. I was still yelping and
Jace’s POV: A Few Hours Ago:"I don’t understand what Phoenix is up to," I was walking around restlessly, wondering what exactly was Phoenix planning to do now.I was waiting for her in the hallway after dinner, as I knew this was the only place where I could have a word with her. Once she goes into her room, she will not come out till morning. Some things were making me wonder if I was even doing the right thing by trusting her.As soon as I spotted her walking towards the room, I blocked her way to have a word with her."Jace! What are you doing?" She motioned for me to step aside."I'm here to get some answers from you," I stated anxiously. I swear I heard moans coming from their room several times."I don’t have time for this. We will talk some other time," she tried excusing, but I didn’t budge."No! I need to know what is going on. You said you didn’t want to be with him, then why are you marrying him?" I hissed at her, trying to keep my calm, but it was becoming impossible in t
That was pretty much a clue for me to check that room. But it was closed. I tried opening it or even pushing it, but it didn’t do anything. I looked at the code and thought to try it, but what if I tried it and it turned out to be wrong and an alarm blared in? I kept looking at it; I have to look at what was inside it. Taking a few steps further, I saw a room with *Sec* written over it. What if sec actually means se*? It could be second, or, wait, it's got to be security. Now all the rooms were locked to keep something from escaping, but this one was opened. I helped myself in. The biggest surprise that I got was that there were computers showing some footage. I was shocked when I saw there were cameras everywhere in his town, and this was the place where he used to watch everything. "That’s how he used to know what was happening around?" I was surprised but also intrigued.I sat on the chair and looked at the cameras. There was no footage from inside anyone’s house, so that meant th
"What are you looking at?" Xavier asked, watching me stare at the sky while we lay on the mattress on the rooftop."This will be our star," I giggled, drunk."You have drink too much, my love," He shifted his side toward me and planted a kiss on my shoulders."You make me happy," I babbled, laughing and kissing his hand, holding it to my chest."We both are each other’s paradise," he uttered, kissing my earlobe and making me giggle. "I love you, Xavier," I whispered happily."Maddox," he looked at the sky and mumbled out of the blue. I was the one drunk, but his words made me wonder if he was also wasted."What?" I asked. This time, I had my face turned toward him."I’ll name my first child Maddox, Maddox Charming," he said, a wide smile on his face. He tangled his fingers in mine and held my hand tightly. I was glad inside. Talking about children meant our relationship was growing. ‘’What if it is a girl?’’ I turned my face to him and watched him with love. He was looking at the st
