Rona’s POV

“Hey what is this, family buzz? I’m not included?” Kate said.

“Because while we are elite, we aren’t that elite, give it time.” I say. “Wanna go get changed in my room?”

“Yeah,” she said, grabbing her stuff from her room. “So, me and Ness trained together today.”

“And?” I ask, studying her face.

“We agree that Gemma is hers and we don’t need to hate each other. We were friends before I slept with Gemma.”

“How very mature of you,” I say.

“Hair up, right?”

“I think so.”

“Should we call mom, or do you think we can do this alone?” She asks me.

I think about it, then call mom.

“My wayward shifters,” mom jokes. “Nervous, Rona?”

“A little,” I answer.

“Just shift, you will be fine. Olive knows what to do.” Mom assures me. “And, after today, you will have your healing powers.”

“Any advice for me, ma,” Kate asks.
