Chapter eighty five

Alessia's POV

"Do you think we pushed them too hard?" My mum's voice sifted into my consciousness. I wonder what they are discussing.

"Dad asked us to." Uncle Walter sounded tired.

"We can't keep doing all that he wants. They are still just children, can't we fight this on our own without them?" Irritation laced Joxer's words. And I have never heard him speak so intelligently before.

My throat felt try and painful when I tried to talk, my mouth tasted like bile. Ewww, what in the world was that?

"Mum?" I called out.

"Baby." Mum said, sitting next to me. "She is awake!"

"Water." I mused.

There was a rushed movement, but I got given the water to drink. When I sat up, my head felt light. I had on to it, to keep it from falling. Even though I doubt it would, since I am no robot.

Staring round the room into worried looking eyes, I asked. "What happened?"

Mum sighed, "you passed out baby."

That definitely was the obvious, when I looked around the room again. Allen isn't there. "Where
