Collin's POV When I didn't see Patrick in school, I could almost feel it in my guts that something was wrong. I had called to tell him about what Seth had found. But, he wasn't picking and it got to.a point his phone went off. I thought he was being careful to avoid having such discussion in the house, however, I got more bothered when he still didn't come to school. My heart almost jumped out of it's cage when he called and asked for us to meet in a really secretive place. I couldn't think of any other place except the bowling alley. I had asked Seth to come with me, but he had a date night with Tephanie. Who am I to ruin his happy day? At that point I already ran out of options. I had no other choice but to go alone. Reaching the alley, I went to sit in the darkest spot at the alley trying to keep myself hidden. I don't want to end up tearing people apart, while protecting myself. I felt a light pat on my shoulder from behind. There was no need for me to overreact. I could tell
Collin's POV"How did he find out about your necklace?" Seth inquired, pulling a chair to seat in front of me. The rest of the family had their eyes on us. I was still reeling In shock at the outcome of Patrick and I meeting. His revelation of what he knows about my necklace, had me really worried that I might not be safe after all. The thought of Alessia being dragged into it also had me more worried. "I guess he put two and two together." I responded. Wayne pushed Seth off the chair, claiming the space while ignoring Seths whines. "Are you sure about this?" "About what?"He shrugged, "that you can trust this guy."Seth stood up dusting off his butt while making an attempt to punch Wayne from behind. But he thought otherwise. "he has proven to us in every way that he can be trusted." Dipping his hand in the plate filled with muffins that Annette had kept for me, Wayne munched on it, humming in response and walking out of the shop. "Why do I feel like he came for the muffin inst
Collin's POV"Mum!" I yelled out, trying to hold her up. Her breath came out in pants, she was trying really hard to keep them steady. Lifting her with all of my strength, I placed her back on the bed. Running to the bathroom to get a water filled bowl and towel. Placing her head gently on my thigh, I wiped at her sweaty face. She didn't look exactly pale. But, I have never seen her have a fall or look weak. Ester has always been the strongest amongst us. Charlie would always say his wife seem to be more manly than the four of us male combined. "What's wrong, mum?" I asked staring at her with a worried expression. Giving her some of the water left in the glass to drink she sat up herself. "I think I moved too fast, the drug makes me feel kind of dizzy."I watched her with a sorrowful eyes. "I am telling everyone about this." She shook her head, "you don't need to, Collin.""Why would you tell me not to? How can it be that none of us in this entire house knows nothing about your i
Alessia's POVKnocking on the door while holding a part of my breath, I tried to hold my nervous hands still. For a moment, I wish there won't be a response and I can have an actual reason to running off. But the universe says; not today. It has decided on its own to make the day an unfavorable one for me. When my mum's voice came from the other side of the door, I sighed in resolve. Cara would have had me return here if I had run in the first place. It's better off this way. Opening the door, I walked stealthily in. "Hey mum." Her back was turned to me."Hmmn." Came her response. "What do you want?" I almost rolled my eyes, annoyed at the attitude in her tone. Isn't she suppose to be aware that I came to apologize? It's obvious she is feeling herself. Deciding to get it all done with, I cleared my throat."I'm sorry for what happened the other day. I already mentioned it to.uncle Joxer that I couldn't weild the sword.""And you were cowardly enough to remain on the ground and not
Author's POVMiranda's hands shook as she tried to steady herself to sit. Alessia's words hurt her like she was pelted with brimstones. Everytime they are subjected to discussing her ex-husband, Miranda loses her cool and say things she regrets. Alessia is everything like her father and not in a negative way, she is always quick to sense a discomforting situation. Always ready to confront the status quo. She never cares about what might become of there in the end. Miranda rubbed at her chest, feeling her heart rip apart as Alessia's words kept roaming her head. She had almost forgotten how absent she was in her daughters life. All in a bid to keep up the family's legacy. Miranda wants the hunters life for Alessia, because she believes it's the only way her daughter can be fulfilled and also live up to the prophesy of ending all of the evil in the world. When Miranda got pregnant with Alessia, she and James had been the happiest parents. The two of them had made a promise to each ot
Alessia's POV"Oh, damn! Peep that bird, it's trying to kick some ass. Looks like someone I know." Allen taunted. Ever since I decided to step out of the room into the garden for some fresh evening air. Allen had taken it upon himself to frustrate me. I wonder if he had been keeping an eye on my door to have known I would be here. I had intentionally stayed indoors until everyone had retired to their rooms. "Can you just leave me alone to myself?" I mumbled. Allen gave me a baffled look, "all of the hours you spent alone in your room isn't normal for a human, but I let it slide. Now that you are out, the best thing to do is have someone with you." "You will get tired." I warned. "Trust me, baby. I live for this. Getting tired isn't in my dictionary."Just as he finished talking, Cara made her way towards us with what seem like a basket of hot steamy meal. The aroma filled the entire space. "Ahhh! Cara is the only reason I want to keep living." Said Allen. Cara slapped the back
Collin's POVWe were about to do something crazy and I am about to lose my mind before it even started. Weekends were the times I used to love, but now i don't think I want anything doing with a moment that gives me a break off school. Making me indulge in scary activities.I had a gloomy look on my face, as we got ready to go on our first spy mission. Patrick and Seth appear really excited except for Wayne and I. We had decided to involve someone who has a wild driving skill. He could get us out of a ditch in a second. Patrick's mum; Carla had kept to her promise of giving off necessarily informations to keep Patrick abreast on what his father might be up to. The plan was simple, get to sneak into their frat meeting and hear how their next move on the upcoming heist would go. Give an hint to those who would be affected and save our heads. That way, the victims would be prepared for the thief's arrival and fight them off. Sounds great, but I don't feel great. Also, it sounds childis
Collin's POVNone of us said anything to each other until we have almost finished a pitcher of icy lemonade that Ester had prepared for us. The rest of the family were all sitted in the living room, awaiting our return eagerly. All eyes were on me, I had almost forgotten the supposed information is in my head and I need to spit it out. I sighed in resolve, dropping my glass. "Can you all quit boring holes into my skin." I mused. "Out with it already, Collin." Seth seem the most impatient. I cleared my throat, "I know this might sound crazy, but this people are raiding the popular antique store near the park at exactly 1am today." Everyone stared at me like I had grown two heads, I poured myself the last drop of lemonade sipping on it slowly. It tastes so good, I don't want it to finish. Wayne burst into a fit of laughter, "are you sure you heard right, Collin? What would they do in an antique store?" Patrick held my gaze, "do you really hear discussions done in whispers?" "Yes,
Author's POVThe room appeared tensed due to the awkward silence, none of them could bring themselves to speak. Charlie exhaled loudly, finally finding it in him to make a sound. He had received a call from Brenda asking him to come with Ester to the house. However, they had arrived and met about three unfamiliar people. Charlie couldn't tell if they were werewolves or humans. They could be any of the two, he would argue more human because there was no traces of the wolf scent in them. Only if they had mask it well enough. Neither Brenda or Damien had come down to attend to them yet and it was making Charlie feel impatient. Ester noticed her husband discomfort, she placed a hand on his knee to help him relax. "What's wrong?" She inquired. He gulped, "I don't know. I don't feel too good about coming here, what do you think is going on? It's too unnaturally quiet in here." "Just relax. It's not like there is anything to be worried about when it comes to Tephanie's parents. We have
Author's POVCarla hissed loudly into the receiver, she hated it when Brian tries his hardest to give her an excuse. She had heard Ryan talking about Tom found dead and she wanted to know of everything that the frat had discussed. But Brian wasn't divulging any information. "You wouldn't like what I would do to you Brian if I find out you have been fooling me. I hate being toyed with and you know. I guess there is no need for me to try explaining myself to you. What happened during your meeting?" Brian exhaled loudly on the other line, "don't talk to me like I am one of your son's friend or someone you feed. I am none of the two, so when I tell you what actually is the situation of things you learn to take it as it is. He is suspecting me already and you know how brutal he can be." "Brian, don't mess with me. Try your best to find out whatever it is Ryan might be planning. And I need every information tonight itself. Also, don't forget to let me know when the next heist would be ca
Author's POVRyan's eyes almost jutted out their sockets when he saw Tom lifeless on the floor. He had thought it was a joke when he had gotten a call from the frat to inform him of Tom's death. It seem so surreal. "You did this to cover for you and your family right?" Brian was the first to flare up, his usual way of acting. Jordan cut him a glare, "don't say something you might regret Brian. Ryan how did this happen?"Staring in disbelief, Ryan chuckled. "You all must really think I am this stupid. Why would I do this? It's obvious there is someone among us who is doing all of this and trying to pin it on me. And I can tell who is trying to mess around with me." Brian's heart thumped at that, he feared Ryan might have found out about his constant meeting with his wife. His palm became sweaty when Ryan's eyes lingered on him. "Don't give me that look." He muttered hurriedly. "Why? Are you the one making things up?" Ryan retorted. "Does one make death up?" Brian threw back at him
Collin's POVI could sense the discomfort in Patrick's voice, something was wrong and he wasn't doing much of a good job in hiding it. We were all seated at the school cafeteria for lunch, everyone chatting away. Ariel didn't seen to notice him because of the juicy gossip she was having with the rest of the girls. I noticed our table isn't exactly complete, Allen and Ashley aren't with us. My head seem to be completely filled with different thoughts, and I can't deny that I don't feel like having any form of long discussion. Alessia understood this and gave me my space, it was much more enjoyable watching her have fun and not necessarily involving my take. I felt a sudden tap on my shoulder, glancing at the direction of the touch. Patrick motioned with his head for me to come with him. I kissed Alessia hurriedly on the cheek, before going with him. "I see I am not the only one in a deep thought." He chuckled as we walked towards the schools football pitch. I shrugged, "sometimes t
Author's POVCarla loved her disguise, the use of the hooded red dress she had bought unintentionally years ago finally came in handy when she needed it the most. Coupled with the round glasses and heavy red lipstick on her lips, she could be mistaken for someone else. It's quite a hard task outsmarting someone who is watching ones every move. But she wouldn't let that deter her, she had reserved a sit in the most busiest restaurant in fox city. And the location seem perfect because; none of those who have the high probability of recognizing her would never be found in such place. When she got to the private booth she had on reserve, Brian was already seated with his head down sipping on his drink like a just released convict. He blinked rapidly when he saw her. "Welcome, Carla." He stuttered. She rolled her eyes, sitting down with a huff. "I need you to give me a full update to whatever the message you sent me was about."On her way back to the house she had received a text from B
Author's POVRyan watched in anger as the few members of the frat stood in the hallway of his home supervising the installation of cameras and recorders in the rooms. They had chosen to come at the exact time Carla and Patrick had left the house. Almost like they were spying on the family's move. When the men hired for the job left everyone of them had an access to the installments to ensure whoever hears or sees anything suspicious will let the others know. Jordan was the first to speak. "Everything is all set now Ryan. It's up to you to do exactly as you are told now without doing otherwise. If something is to change we have to take the bull by it's horns." He saidBrian snickered, "there is no need to trust him with it, we would have to stay behind to be sure he does what is expected of him."Ryan clenched and unclenched his fist, he would really have to rethink that thing called selfcontrol and punch the guts out of Brian. "You won't come around to disrupt my home and still exp
Alessia's POVThe music blasted in my eyes as I shot the arrows hitting it's target like I was on some sort of cruise. It made me feel calmer and happy. I should really do this more, my shooting isn't all that bad. I have just been too lazy to practice. "Wow, what are you on woman?" Allen sat next to me, as I rested with my arms stretched out on the grass. I snickered sitting up, "do you always have to comment on everything?" He shrugged, "I can't just help but notice, don't crucify me." I laughed, "what exactly have you don't this morning?" "Ran ten laps around the field. Caught my breath about a hundred times and now I feel like the most fit person in the entire universe." "You crazy being. When would you act your age?" I couldn't hold back the loud laugh. He joined in still resting on the grass, letting out a loud sigh when he caught his breath. "I am trying to take one step at a time." "What's the matter?" "Nothing." He said hurriedly"You are lying. That was too quick!"
Author's POV"He is sensitive, you should have been more careful with him." Charlie said looking displeased. Himself and wife with Brenda and Damien were sitted in the latter's study after excusing themselves from the dining table.Brenda shrugged maintaining her stand next to her sitted husband. "You can't blame me. There has to be a way to point this things out to him just in time. We never know when trouble will knock and from the look of things this evil doers are getting closer." "Maybe we were too harsh on him, honey." Damien admitted, "he is just a child that has endured so much in his life. We could have been more patient." "Patient you say?" Brenda retorted, "my child's life and future is also at stake here. Don't you think it has me worried.""By all means I feel the same way too." Ester flared. "You are so concerned about your own daughter, you intend to put my own son in a fix and have him doubt himself. So you know hard the nightmares are on him? He passes out when the
Collin's POVI can't seem to understand this sort of dinner where the hosts pry into your life and discuss it so openly like they know you closely. Why Tephanie's parents would question me like I was the one dating their daughter, seem to surpass my knowledge. To cap it all my parents sat down saying nothing, there was no doubt one of them had exposed me to Tephanie's parents. Charlie it might be, because he kept talking about how they were leaders of the watch and how important they are. Not to forget their protective body would help us last longer in the fox city.I hate being at people's mercy and most importantly people meddling into my personal life. I kicked at the grass angrily. My eyes scanning the car outside the gate, Tephanie's compound was filled to the brim with different type of cars. Its almost like a silent message to visitors not to bother driving in.If that wasn't the case, one member or two of the family is obsessed with their car collection. They have the most we
