I threw her in the passenger seat and closed the door. Dixon stayed outside the door, keeping it closed until I slipped into the driving seat.

I locked the car and started the engine. She stopped screaming all of a sudden, going completely silent.

We drove out of the hotel parking. I could see the other two cars of my men trailing behind us. Valerie had decided to join me for real instead of hiding in the shadows. That would cause her the whole pack of hers but she still did it. This only proved that she had become an emotional fool.

“ You are still the same. ” Darling mumbled when we left the hotel so far behind that she couldn’t run back there even if she wanted.

“ When I asked you if something happened, you were not supposed to lie to me, Darling. ” I hissed under my breath and kept my eyes plastered to the road.

One look at her face and I would turn into an idiot. I didn’t want that.
