Evelyn's POV

Eeriness consumed me instantaneously, bringing solid swells on my skin as my body hairs stood up from my pores in fear.

I knew what he read, I knew what he had seen that provoked such a reaction from him.

The moon goddess surely doesn't have anything good in store for me, she has punished me with a cruel fate and I'll have to suffer its overwhelming weight.

Why was he still quiet?

He is obviously too shocked and disappointed to construct a concise statement.

He was probably thinking whether to start by lashing out angrily on me right here and now or making his proclamations discreetly.

I couldn't build the nerves to look into his face, I already knew what to expect and I cannot bear it.

I cannot bear having to see a disappointed and spiteful look in his pretty blue eyes that I had grown used to their softness for me. I might just lose my mind.

‘‘Love?’’ He nudged my arm with his elbow, causing my brows to crease. If I clearly heard him, then I did not answer him.

Alpha Devon's POV I sat comfortably on my armchair, sipping from my mug of black coffee as I watched the two insignificant guards getting brutally flogged. It had been like this for three days now, they get flogged every time I have nothing to do to entertain me. I returned back to being cold and completely void of human conscience, it was how I had always been until Evelyn came into the picture. She made me feel crazy emotions I never thought still existed in me.But since she is gone now, there was no reason left to remain soft. Now I could only be considered as human because I still had a soul, and a pumping heart in my chest. And I know it was mostly my fault, if I had not rejected her just maybe everything would be just fine. But at the same time, if these worthless guards had been vigilant enough, it would have been all fine too. She would have still been right under my nose, gracing the castle with her sweet cake scents and keeping my emotions from being as cold. They d

Alpha Devon's POV I hurriedly threw on a causal top and was rushing to go out of my bedroom when consciousness hit me like a speeding truck. I halted swiftly in my tracks, going through all that was going on. What I was about to do was definitely lame.A scoff forced its way through my mouth and I returned back to my bed. Just then, a knock came on my door.“Come in,’’ I groaned out sluggishly. Somehow, something always needs to be attended to and it only arose whenever I laid on the bed.I heard the knob twist and the door pushed open, there was no possible way it could be Kyra. Even if she was really at the castle gates like she claimed, she wouldn't be allowed in, at least not immediately. She only managed to visit here about three times since my father died, only to call me now with the news of what? Such guts! She had disconnected the line on me, once she got her words out. What did I seem like to her? Some rebound to get over Luther's rejection?A gust of air forged throug

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 69

Alpha Devon's POV I stared keenly at her, dying of curiosity inwardly to see her lips part and hear the words they would form. But instead she stood up from the couch, it was then I got to notice her dress. She had on a vivid blue flowing princess gown with floral patterns. She slowly walked towards me and though, every nerve in me was dead curious to know what she was about doing. I still managed to remain still on my couch with the cold blank look, still firmly sitting on my face. She approached me and bent slowly to my level, I fixated my eyes on hers. No doubt, I had missed her bright black seductive eyes. Her glossed lips never dropped from their curved up position, shining temptingly at every one who cared to look at them. I couldn't help roaming my eyes on her pretty face, the face I got so used to from childhood and eventually went head over heels over. “I know you missed me.’’ She whispered seductively.I had to pull everything in me together to maintain the cold look

Kyra’s POV My head jerked against where it rested against his thigh as different thoughts ran through my mind.No doubt, I had heard that name and only one person I know bore that stupid name. The one person I had grown to detest so much in a short period, Luther's scrummy mate. But what was her name doing in Devon's lips? How come he also knew her and why would he mention her name in this sort of situation? There is definitely something I was missing hereI had stopped my movements upon hearing the words from his mouth, I pulled away from his huge, still erect member and lifted my gaze to his face.‘‘What?’’ was all I could produce from my lips, his outburst left me totally drained with shock. Without a word to me, he pulled up his pants from where they lay at his feet, did up his zipper and walked out of the room. All through this act, all I did was stare and stare as he moved until his back exited the room. I was literally speechless. I went down to my butt on the floor pond

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 71

Kyra’s POV I marched towards the kitchen, yelling out to the maids. Though I was familiar with the castle a bit, I still made Devon walk me around yesterday. Although, it was partly to sharpen my memory on the routes since it had been quite some years since I last visited.“So you all didn't hear me calling?’’ I shouted upon getting to the kitchen to meet some maids.“We are…sorry, my lady. We were…we didn't…’’ One of them tried saying but I shunned her off.“Where are my bloody handmaids?’’ I thundered. “They are…not in presently…’’ ‘‘All three of them?’’ I scoffed out unbelievably. ‘‘We can serve…’’“Then hurry up with it and stop being dumb. I need my breakfast in my suite immediately, you have barely five minutes to get it in.’’ I ordered and walked out immediately. It's been just about three minutes since I got to my suite. I had sprinkled some water on my face to calm my nerves and it worked. I gently stepped out of the bathroom and a knock came on my door.“It's opened.’’

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 72

Kyra’s POV ~Eight months later….A wide yawn escaped my lips as I stretched out my body on the bed. The day was already so bright and fair. The supposed Council of Alpha's gathering was finally here and I could not help feeling happier. I would be going with Alpha Devon as an acting partner but that was limited to just the knowledge of both of us, I guess. It had been eight good months already and I had not been able to clear a place in his heart, I just needed to do a lot better so that I could finally claim it. It wasn't easy trying to tame the almighty Alpha Devon, in fact I was still at it. I guess he just can't resist my good sex and I'll keep giving it to him the way he wants until he finds himself attached. A small smile crept on my lips and I climbed down the bed sexily, feeling so proud of myself. I walked to the bathroom to have my bath first before the maids came to help me dress up.I personally chose the dress we were wearing today. I made Devon wear matching cloth

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 73

Alpha Devon's POV I had secretly been watching out for Luther's arrival, it seemed he wasn't in the hall yet because I couldn't get even a whiff of his scent out of the numerous scents that lingered in the hall. No matter how saturated the scents might be, if Luther was already around I would have gotten his scent. That was of a surety. So I resolved to look out for him. It had been eight months already since Evelyn fled from me and apart from the night I finally lost her to Luther, I hadn't gotten the chance to see her again. Luther and I had settled things long ago but each time I visited him at the Red-moon castle, he never let me see her. He always kept her totally out of my sight for reasons beyond my reasoning. At least we already settled matters and I already made it clear that I had left her for him, after all she was his mate right? Or he was probably scared that I still had something for her and he wasn't wrong at all for believing that. I still haven't been able to p

Alpha Devon's POV My ears twitched at the hearing of those words. My legs literally froze on the spot, same applied to every nerve in my body. It felt like some kind of trance, hearing my own Evelyn gave birth. She had gotten pregnant for Luther already and even gave birth, it was all too much to take in.So this was it, she had been pregnant all the while and that was why he kept her away from my sight. I knew it that something was definitely off about her sudden disappearance whenever I was present in the Red-moon castle. Why keep it away from me then? I wasn't going to kill her if I found out that she was with a pup in her belly. I should be happy for my brother. I should hit him playfully on the chest and make hyping comments. But the total reverse was the case now. I felt so hurt. It hurt to take in this news. For the second time my heart happened to yearn for someone and still got shattered. But I deserved this one, I brought it upon myself. She was right in my arms, rea

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 128

Evelyn's POV After what felt like years of darkness I fling my eyelids open sharply to meet a blurry white surface. I blinked my lids repeatedly to clear my view when I heard a voice. Or should I say voices?I felt a warm sensation on my forehead, I traced the direction it came to see… Luther? Bloody yes! He was the one. On seeing this, my vision cleared up immediately. “Hey.’’ He called softly. I tried to sit up abruptly, but a striking pain hit my abdomen, earning a whimper from me.‘‘Fuck! Easy, you still need some rest.’’ He grabbed me carefully, helping me sit up. That was when I noticed a shadow on my left side through my peripherals. I almost jumped down from my position when my gaze caught Devon’s. “Hey.’’ His voice was so soft, it sounded weird. “What are you… what happened?’’ I faced Luther and eyed Devon again.“You're recovering,” Luther spoke, and everything came rushing into my memory. The immense coughing, the blood, my screams.“My children! Where are my childr

Evelyn's POV “Then should I get you water, my lady?” Merit came again, she was never going to get tired I guess. I ignored her yet again. She has been convincing me to eat something, but I wouldn't even respond to her.She sighed and finally left. I laid my head on the dining table, looking at nothing in particular. I felt empty. I felt dejected. My life became like a burden to me. I feel so sick and I don't know exactly what is wrong with me. Worse is nobody cares, or Luther doesn't care. He never came to see me, he doesn't ask after me. He hates me now. Even I hate myself. My children were the only pillar I clung onto. Their love was enough to keep me alive and waiting for Luther's forgiveness. I'm sure the pack members hate me now, probably excluding my maids though. I lifted myself wearily, dragging myself to the bed. I reached for my phone and stared at Luther's number, but a knock came on the door. The person came in when I wouldn't respond, and my eyes almost popped out

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 126

Alpha Devon's POV A genuine smile lingered uncontrollably on my lips. It was the first time in four years that I felt genuinely happy. The thoughts of having some tiny little feet pattering the floor sent a hearty chuckle off my lips. “We're here, Alpha.’’ My driver announced, turning the engine off. A fresh wind hit my face as I stepped out. I started my way briskly into the building. What could possibly go wrong now? I would be having my children soon! ‘‘Hey.’’ A familiar voice called out. It had better be my ears malfunctioning. “Finally. I've been waiting for you.’’ She came to view from the waiting room, and it wasn't my ears.A deep sigh escaped my lips. Turns out something could actually go wrong. My smiles dissipated.“Why are you here, Kyra?” “Why do you guys always ask me that silly question?’’ She said as she rolled her eyes. “There is no room for you here. You once misused your privilege, you can't have it again.’’ I continued my way inwards. “We both know that b

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 125

Evelyn's POV Trailing my eyes on him from his face to his feet, I knew at this moment that I both hated and dreaded this man in front of me. He was my doom! I looked away from him with a silent sigh, trying to gather up my nerves that were depleted first. “Greetings to you too, Devon.’’ I managed to produce a firm tone, even as my insides were crashing down already. Every word that left his lips, there was no way anyone around wouldn't read the meaning of it.‘‘What now? Wonder Woman in action?’’ He jeered. Somehow, I never get to miss his nasty smirks.“Cut to the chase, Devon. Why are you here?’’ I took a sharp breath, blotting up my true feelings behind an unaffected facade. “You know, Evelyn, that's one thing about you. You're so adept at gauging up your emotions. But I suppose Luther has been too foolish to decipher them, too consumed by his selfish desires to recognize your true nature! But well what does it matter now?" His previously furrowed expression transformed into

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 124

Evelyn's POV My heavy eyelids paved the way to a rather confined view, despite how much I widened them. It had become a mundanity every morning I awake, after my anticlimactic date with Luther three days ago. I sat up on my bed. Shoving my bedding aside, I went to the bathroom. Did my morning routine and retired back to bed. That is how it has been every morning for the last few days too. Nothing changed. Luther hasn't tried to come to see me, which means he was still really mad at me.I barely left my room, even if it was certain Luther never brought anyone in on the discovery. If my instincts still function correctly, then I guess the incredible knowledge was just limited to myself and the two colluding brothers. I spend the whole of my days in my room. I no longer see the kids often, except for sure they ask after me and are brought to see me. But they haven't since yesterday, and it bothered me.Sabrina isn't an exemption, except that I never approved of her visits. She had

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 123

Luther's POV My gaze didn't waver, I made sure to concentrate my attention on her and capture her every expression. She looked lost and confused. She was probably trying to think fast. But as I had plotted, she was caught off guard. She couldn't gather up an excuse quickly. My gaze on her made it even worse for her blink an eye freely, let alone come up with a believable lie. She slowly faced me when she eventually got the nerves to. ‘‘What truth? I mean…why is no one… drinking?’’ She stuttered, despite how much she tried to compose herself. “You know why. Spill!’’ I replied flatly, though my gaze on her said otherwise. She must be questioning herself inwardly, wondering if I found out about her grave secret already. But she's a champ at hiding her emotions, it was a little difficult trying to gauge her thoughts. Her shaky lips parted again, the curiosity to hear what it would say soared within me. But my hopes were shattered by the noise from the server’s entrance, quickly qu

  • Mated to the Cruel Alpha: His Rejected Omega Mate   Chapter 122

Luther's POV She looked up to me slowly, and though I couldn't really see the look in her eyes through the dim light, I could tell solely that she had nothing but suspicion in them. Her question confirmed it all. I knew she was going to ask, she wasn't so dull. But I was not ready to disclose anything to her yet, I would make her wait and see for herself. ‘‘Luther…’’‘‘Now how are we going to find out if you don't get your round booty on a seat?’’ Devon cake at her, interrupting her speech and snatching my gaze to himself. “Language, Devon.’’ I came at him. I don't appreciate using such flirty words for my mate, it doesn't sit well with me. “Really? Whatever!’’ He rolled his eyes. ‘‘Lynn, sit, we have a lot to talk about.’’ I returned my gaze to her. I didn't know what was going on with her but I'm pretty sure fear was among them. “You wanted us to restore our brother bond right?’’ I started saying again, trying to ease the sudden tension in her.Even if I knew there was stil

Evelyn's POV I stepped out of the bathtub and went for my face towel, burying my face in it. I wiped my face before tying a larger towel around my chest. I stepped out of the bathroom to see Ember by my dressing table. I couldn't figure out what exactly she was onto by the table. She turned to me and a broad smile crawled onto her face. “C'mon, Luna.’’ She beckoned to me.A silent sigh escaped my lips as I started my way towards her. I still haven't been able to ask her anything. What if it happens to be related to her personal affairs or it has to do with her family life? Different thoughts keep haunting me, I couldn't ask her about it yet. Maybe if it happens again in my presence, then I will ask her. I sat in front of the mirror and she started blow drying my hair. “My lady, you've got a beautiful head of hair.’’ I heard her say and my gaze traveled to her in the mirror. She was smiling as usual as she focused on the hair.“Merit said it wasn't like this sometimes ago.’’ Sh
