Chapter 4

Keifer is my bestfriend. We’ve known each other sine we were babies so I basically know all his dreams and goals in life.

And that I also knew that one of his dreams is to be in the human territory and to live their life for a day.

So when he asked me if we can go to the house with a wild party going on, I can’t really say no to him.

This is literally the only chance he got to achieve his lifelong dream.

I might be a ruthless wolf to my enemies, but not a heartless one to a friend.

As expected, people are coming in and out the house.

Some are drunk, couples are making out, and everybody else is having fun dancing around.

Keifer went inside the house first and was gone the moment I stepped inside.

“Damn Keif! Are you that excited and left your alpha behind?” I mind-linked him.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be back in a jiffy.”

I just rolled my eyes at his response.

I push myself inside and find something to drink.

I settled in a corner watching the teenagers partying on the dancefloor.

Some of the ladies are giving me flirtatious glances and one even danced in front of me and subsequently rub his ass on my crotch.

I’m lying if I will say that my body isn’t responding to the touch.

But just when I was about to grab the lady’s waist, a strong scent had filled my nostrils.

Impossible! Why here?

I was confused at the thought but I still managed to excuse myself from the temptation before me and automatically rush to where the scent is coming from.

How can this happen? Another wolf had passed our boarders to the human world?

Is she a feral? .. a rogue?.... no, her scent is pure and innocent… like a lavender in early spring.

A lot of questions are running through my mind right now.

Why am I feeling this way?

Why am I excited to see her?

This is not what I planned.

I have loath my mate long before I meet her.

I despise having a mate.

It is a useless trick that the moon Goddess had invented just to play with our emotions.

To make us weak.

I don’t want a mate.

I went upstairs and had sense the strong scent on the other side of the door in front of me.

I opened it but found no one inside.

I went outside the bedroom and mind-linked Keifer.

“She’s here.”

“Who’s here?”

“My mate. She’s here.”

“What? Why here? Is she a human? Oh my God, what will the pack say about this?.... they will never accept her.” Keifer is now babbling nonsense.

I know for a fact that she’s not human. I can smell her wolf inside and that makes Max, my wolf all giddy.

Talking to Keifer is useless so I block him off.

And just as I was about to head back downstairs, the scent becomes stronger again. I can sense that she is coming my way now.

Seconds had pass and there goes my mate. Standing in front of me.

Max is basically jumping with joy as he saw her.

Sorry boy, I already told you that we can never have her.

I told Max and his happiness was replaced with grief.

My mate looked at me once and then covered her head with her hand.

Is she avoiding me? Doesn’t she know we’re mates?

She was about to go inside the room but I blocked her way.

I look at her emerald green eyes. It was so beautiful that I almost got loss to it.

Tell me you can resist those eyes of hers.

Max said and I automatically block him out.

I leaned closer to my mate just to smell her one last time.

“I’m surprise I found you here…….Mate.” My voice is full of accusation.

Why haven’t I heard of a wolf passing my boarders?

My mate had managed to escape my guards.

“What?” She asked innocently.

“Let’s cut the chase. I know you knew who I am.”

“What?” She asked again. I’m already annoyed with her tricks. Doesn’t she know I can smell her no matter how much she denies it?

“What’s your name?” I want this to be over with.

“Amelia Hope Robertson.”

“I, Dimitri Sky Hemming, reject you, Amelia Hope Robertson as my mate.”

Let’s see how you react now.

A smirk formed my face.

“Are you high?.. Oh gosh I told Trixie not to involve drugs tonight.”

I was not prepared for her answer at all.

Didn’t they say that once you found your mate, your bond will be very strong that when one rejects you, you will literally suffer from the heart-break?

Then why is my mate acting this way?

Oh I am so angry right now, I can actually smash everything in this house.

“Look Mr. Sky, as long as you will not cause trouble you can stay. But the moment I’ll hear otherwise, I’m gonna kick you out of my house. Understood?”

“What did you just say?” I can feel the heat coming out from my body as I suppress the anger inside Max.

This shouldn’t be happening.

I was supposed to dump my mate and not the other way around.

How dare her to act as if she doesn’t know me.

“Look, I am dying from my headache right now and your smell is just making it worst.”

My smell?

She is really getting into my nerves right now.

“Didn’t you just hear me? I rejected you as my mate.” I am practically yelling in her face.

“Whatever.” She says trying to ignore me once more.

But then grabbed her arm stopping her from turning away from me.

And I guess that was a wrong move.

As the sensation hit us both, her body went rigid and soon began to fall.

She automatically went unconscious and as my reflexes hit in, I caught her.

We went inside what I assume as her room and placed her at the bed.

I still don’t understand.

Why is she here?

I look around to find answers because I still don’t believe that a wolf is living a life in this human world.
