The Last Book

The atmosphere in the room was getting tense. Aiden, Penelope, and I were fuming with anger towards Ezekiel. He had just revealed the truth about Karen's condition - that she was a monster without a cure, and that she had the potential to hurt anyone, including us.

"How could you let this happen?" I shouted at Ezekiel, my fists tightening in frustration. "Didn't you know she's our friend? And yet you let her live among these monsters like she truly belongs here?"

Ezekiel stayed silent, a grim expression etched across his face. He knew we were angry and that there was nothing he could say to make things right.

"Ezekiel, we need to find a way to cure Karen and the rest of the students," Aiden said, his voice shaking with emotion. "We can't just give up on her like this. There has to be something we can do."
