Blazing Arrows

In the middle of running away from the kingdom, I accidentally bumped into an old man which resulted in both of us stumbling to the ground.

The wooden large basket he carry on his head also fell into the ground. Pieces of apples, tangerines, and mangoes were scattered all over the place.

"I'm so sorry," I uttered while helping the old man pick the fruits and put them back into the basket.

"No, it's all right, young man." humbly says the old man. "It's also my fault. I wasn't watching ahead of me. I'm so sorry."

Right after putting the fruits back into the basket, I approached the old man cautiously, aware of the worry etched on his weathered face.

The wrinkles deepened as he studied me, suspicion lingering in his gaze. I could feel his apprehension, mirroring my own unease. Underneath the weight of our shared concerns, I mustered the courage to break the silence.
