Eloise stood frozen, her mind racing as Rachael’s words hit her like a slap in the face. She could feel her pulse throb in her temples, and her stomach churned with confusion. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

"I haven't changed," Eloise muttered, her voice low and tight, though she wasn’t sure if she was trying to convince Rachael, or herself.

Eloise opened her mouth, but the words tangled in her throat. She had wanted to protest, to say something that would make Rachael stop looking at her like that. But Rachael wasn’t finished.

“Is it Jack, Eloise?” Rachael’s eyes narrowed, her voice suddenly darkening with anger. “Is that who’s making you change? Because if it is… you should know better. He

Eloise smiled silently, her expression distant yet knowing. He was right.Aura had never been the innocent victim she had pretended to be. Eloise had always kept to herself, never feeling the need to explain herself to anyone. And Aura had used that silence to her advantage, spinning lies and causing others to misunderstand Eloise.“Are you smiling, Eloise?” Sammy’s voice was thick with contempt. "What’s so funny? Ellison smirked and thought, Ainsley, it turns out you can't say no to the Moon Goddess' arrangements either. If you had known this was going to happen, would you have been so cruel?Ellison was very shrewd. He had deduced from Elijah's behavior that Ainsley had changed his attitude toward Eloise. He muttered to himself, “I was wrong to think that Aura was Ainsley’s weak point. He didn’t have time for games. “Elijah just searched the warehouse and took Aura’s address book. That was strange.
