2024-10-29 19:42:56“ What's going on?” Cain had been working in the office that what was he told Diskant but he was actually busy sulking in his office, needing the privacy that he required to fight off the haunted sight from last night but the more he tried to keep his mind blank the more he was reminded of how he lost control of his instincts and his wolf and hurt Reyna, the sight of her bloody arms kept flashing in front of his eyes and the gloom seem to settle more and more on his shoulders.
He wasn’t a brooder but he couldn’t believe that he had let his emotions take control of him again, as if the memories of Sawyer being restrained by two old human boys, that wild, petrified and terrified look in her eyes .. of his mother’s obnoxious acts were not enough, now he had another memory that was going to haunt him.
He just wanted to be left alone so that he can just mull his ‘oh not so happy memories’ and just die a little bit

Her father escorted her out of the lodge, down the patio and through the trees on the path that led to the artificial lake sitting in the middle of the forest.
