Chapter 108

Alpha Waylen's POV

I reluctantly released my grip on Amelia as Luke's words sank in. Kayden and his men had arrived, and they wanted to speak with me.

A part of me wanted to refuse, to keep Amelia here by my side but I knew that would only lead to a bloody confrontation. I had to at least hear what Kayden had to say.

With a heavy sigh, I stepped away from Amelia and made my way downstairs, my mind racing with possibilities. I pushed open the front door and stepped out into the scorching sun. I saw Kayden standing at the gate. He definitely looked confident for a person snooping around in the night like a thief.

His men stood behind him, their numbers counting from the gate into the woods, they seemed to have tripled in size.

I felt uncomfortable as I looked at him, but I refused to let it show. I walked towards Kayden, my steps measured and deliberate. When I was close enough, I raised my hand and gave a slow, sarcastic clap.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the great Alpha Kayden,"
