Chapter 34: The Balcony
Evander’s POV
Sitting in the cosy cottage nestled in the heart of the forest, I share a pot of tea with Lucius, my father; the last surviving Frost brother. Kaden and Landon's fathers fell in battle while expanding their territories, leaving their legacies to be carried out by their sons.
My father on the other hand had always shied away from bloodshed, preferring not to join the prower struggle for the Alpha title of the Frostbite pack and has therefore been blessed with a quiet life. A peaceful life. A long life.
The forest's leafy scent lingers in the air, reminding me of our kinship with the wilderness that surrounds us. Father's eyes, filled with wisdom, meet mine as he takes a sip of his Earl Grey. They have seen much, much more than I have ever experienced.
