It was already 8pm that night when Xavier and his men got into their cars dressed as police men and drove to the checkpoint of the Silvermoon pack, their pack.

Xavier had hurried to his office immediately he got the call from his personal assistant and right- hand man. Together, they made a tight and efficient plan that would make sure none of the XVI cartel members or anyone they had hired to clean their dirty laundry escape from his shackles.

As they drove towards the east checkpoint, underneath the night sky, Xavier spoke into his phone's speaker. He knew that three more phones were connected with a singular call, and his total of seven men were waiting for his command.

"We are slowly approaching the checkpoint, but there is something I would like each and everyone of you to remember. This is not a joke, it's not a stage play. Whatever happens tonight would be as real as it gets, and it would be an evidence of how hard we have worked to bring these tyrants down. I believe that

Xavier pushed his car door open and climbed into it. He closed the door and started his car's engine. Peter, his personal assistant, was by the side of his door before he could change his gear from park to drive. Xavier turned to the young man with a sad smile on his face. He could tell that Peter had read the disappointment in his expression, there was no use hiding it from him now. The young man heaved a long sigh before he spoke. "I'm really sorry, sir. I honestly thought that…" "You do not have to apologize, Peter." Of a truth, he did not. Xavier knew that whatever had happened tonight had nothing to do with him. He was more interested in finding out who it was that had informed the XVI cartel of their plans to raid and catch them. But how was he going to do that? Whoever had done it must be as slippery as an eel. Xavier was at a loss for both words and actions. He had only shared the information with seven of his most trusted men. Did this really mean that there was a snake

  • Mated for Revenge   Wet, warm, and welcoming

Diana caught sight of the frown on his face as he made his way to the top of her hands and started to untie her. From his face and his eyes, and the manner in which he stared down at her naked body with little or no interest, Diana felt a strange form of sadness grow in her. She was starting to feel bad and unwanted. After freeing her hands, he went to the end of his bed and worked on releasing her ankles from the grip of the thin wire that had been clasped around them. Blood rushed through her feet for the first time in hours. When he had succeeded in setting her free, he turned his back to her and planted himself in front of his dressing mirror. Diana slowly brought herself to sit up, but she did not stop staring at his back. "I want you to leave now," He started, and Diana narrowed her eyes on him. "You can go anywhere you want to go, wherever it is that you wish to go. I am setting you free now and I never want to see you again." She heard him speak as he worked on easing hims

Xavier groaned and turned in his bed. He was never one to rise in the morning until the sun rays kissed his face with full force. But that did not happen, since his curtains had been drawn shut since last night and his housekeeper was yet to come in and spread them apart. But this morning, someone somewhere in the world believed that the best thing he or she or they could do with their morning was disrupt his sleep by calling his phone endlessly. He finally gave in to the disturbance and allowed his eyes to open slowly, even though his face was still pressed on his pillow. The phone was right by his side. He picked it up with sleepy eyes and answered it groggily and pressed the phone to his left ear. He realized he was holding his phone upside down and turned it in the right direction. He did not bother to look at the caller ID, the voice would be more than enough to know the person. "You fucking jerk!" That was the first line he heard when he pressed his phone's speaker to his r

  • Mated for Revenge   The Herd Family

His fork fell from his hand instinctively, he heard the clanging of the metal against the ceramic plate. Xavier was struck by the sincerity in her eyes. He was trapped in her stare and he found himself not wanting to look away. There was a fire in her, a fire that burned with the need to survive, the need to make something of herself. He would have let her stay and be nothing but his mistress, he would have let her eat his food and wear his clothes until he was tired of her pussy and tossed her away with nothing - not that he was sure it would ever happen - but she wanted to work for every cent that she used. And he admired that in a woman, the urge to want to work and make something of herself. He was starting to feel pity for her. As his eyes danced around her beautiful face, targeting her dark orbs, he couldn't help but wonder what her story was. She was too intelligent and spoke too eloquently to be a stripper. She was also a teacher at the best Elementary school in Silvermoon,

  • Mated for Revenge   It's about your mother

Diana could not stop thinking about him. Not when she was scrubbing the top of the kitchen counters, not when she was cleaning the floors of the kitchen or living room, and sure as hell not when she was mopping the floor of her room. The room she had been given as a housekeeper was more luxurious than anything she had ever been given the opportunity to sleep in. The room was a hexagonal shaped room with decorative lights placed at every edge. Her king-sized bed sat in the middle of the lavender polished room. The marble floor tiles were white, but had lavender flowers drawn on them. She had her personal bathroom with a bathtub and a water heater. The wardrobe and dressing mirror belonged to no one but a princess. While she was happy she would finally be given a good bed to sleep on while she walked, she couldn't ignore the memories that the room brought back. Memories of many years ago, when she wasn't a nobody from the Redmoon pack, but a princess. She brushed the thought to the

He settled into the chair and rubbed his thumb against her right knuckles, caressing them with all the genuine softness he did feel deep in his heart. Xavier Herd looked away from her and closed his eyes tight, hoping to fight back the tears that rushed to his eyelids. The woman laying on the bed was a woman he loved more than anything, or anyone else in the world. She had not always been unable to hold him, she had not always been unable to hug him. All of it was a new development due to her…disease, an unidentified poison that was chewing her from the inside out. There were a lot of things he had to say to her, so he started to speak. "Hey, mum. It's me again, Xavier." He leaned in closer to her bed and heaved a sigh. "I know that you can't really speak to me now, but I'll take my consolation from the fact that you can at least hear me. You know ma, my wedding is in a few days, and even if it hurts that you won't be there, it hurts that it's happening at all, ma." He drew in a

  • Mated for Revenge   Her brother's arrival.

The car ride back home with Diana was silent and tense.Xavier couldn't help but stare at her often as her almost lifeless form stared out the window."I'm sorry" Xavier says.He didn't know what he was apologizing for exactly but he knew something wasn't right and the silence in the car was too heavy he needed to break it."Sorry for?" Diana asked, turning to face him with her dead and hollow looking eyes.Whatever had happened had hit her really deep for her to look this bad in less than 24 hours, he thought taking in her tired and haggard looking face. She looked so much older than her age."For whatever that happened" he sighed deciding to end the conversation. She nodded going back to staring through the window.Xavier packed the car at the side curb of her house and stepped out, going round the car to help her out as well.He took in the surrounding and it was the typical definition of a slum. There were old cars parked at the side of the roads, the surroundings filled with over

Xavier and Diana arrived at the royal mansion a few minutes past seven.Xavier wrapped his arms around her and led her shivering form up the step, letting the royal guards who stood watch at the entrance of the big door leading into the mansion open up for them. He stepped into the quiet mansion grateful that his father, Cara and stepmother were still asleep as he didn't have to deal with them just yet. The thoughts of Cara sent a ripple of anger through him, making his jaw tighten as he pulled Diana closer to him. He disliked the thoughts of Diana and wish he was as stubborn as his brother, Baron to say no to his father. He couldn't imagine having to spend the rest of his life with Cara. He sighed.Walking further into the room, Xavier sighted Baron, his brother, walking down the stairs fully dressed."Hey what's up?" Baron, calls out.He glanced at Diana when he didn't get a reply from either his brother or their mate.He frowned as he took in the sight of Diana's old t-shirt, her

Maybe even worse. The wolfsbane Xavier had injected in him was not making him heal. Diana stomped her way to Xavier's bedroom since she had nowhere else to go.Her head was spinning as she walked around the room trying to gather her scattered thoughts. She wanted to scream, cry and strangle both Cara and Xavier at the same time. She was still pacing around the room when Xavier walked in. She turned her neck to look at him with a force that should have been enough to hurt her neck if she wasn't so angry."Please let me explain. It's not what it looked like please" Xavier pleaded. "It's not what it looked like? Of course it's not! I sure do like a fool to you!" Diana screamed. She turned, stalked her way to Xavier and narrowed her eyes on him."You're just a pathetic liar Xavier and I'm done with your lying ass." she exploded pounding her hands on his chest."I'm not lying. • Mated for Revenge   Cara's deceit

Xavier had just got down from the treadmill when his fiancee, Cara walked into the room.Xavier sighed, his mood falling when he saw her tear stained face.He definitely was not ready for her problems this morning.Last night with Diana had drained him too much and he still wondered what could have been troubling her. He was so tired, and he didn't need another woman to wear him out.Cara had the attitude of always crying and nagging whenever she needed something and most times he would have to do it cause he could not afford to see a woman cry without doing anything about it. Above all her nagging was enough to make any one crazy."Xavier. I'm just here to ask a simple question and I want an honest reply" Cara cried, sniffing as she looked up at Xavier with sad eyes."Cara please not this morning. Please, we can talk about this some other day but not today." Xavier begged, rubbing on his forehead to relieve the tension."No, let's talk this morning and I'll never bother you again."

Xavier stared at Diana for a moment. His eyes were sharp and displeased."You did this on the night of the massage and you're repeating it again?" Xavier questioned. He hoped to the goddess, that she would not lie to him. She had done it on the night of the massage, he had purposely stayed still and quiet and waited till she left the room before he went after her."I followed you the other night till you went into my mother's room. Care to explain what you were doing in there?" Xavier glowered at her. Shooting daggers at her with his eyes. Xavier watched as Diana's eyes widened and her body trembled. She looked like someone who had seen a ghost.Nothing made sense to Xavier. Why should she be sneaking in on his parents?and why was she so scared when he mentioned it?"You haven't answered me yet" Xavier's voice came out soft like someone who was trying to reason with a child who would not stop bawling its eyes out.Diana gave no reply.
