Chapter 12

From Alessia's POV

After talking to Doctor Sara, I was escorted to the hospital. I wasn't thrilled that I had to undergo more testing, but I was grateful because, for the first time in a long time, people actually cared about me. From what I could see, this was more than just a job for them. They took pride in their work, and it showed.

Doctor Sara stayed with me through the entire procedure, never leaving anything to question. Every detail of what they were going to be doing was explained.

After two hours of answering questions and being pricked and probed, I was finally able to leave. Doctor Sara drove me back to the packhouse herself. I was a little bothered when she admitted that she had shared everything I had mentioned with Dominic.
