Chapter 52

My eyelids kept Fluttering, the horrible stench of cigarettes filling my nostrils. However, my body hadn't come back to live yet to reject the smell.

"The dude that bought her is crazy." I heard a deep voice say.

"Yeah. I mean…she's kind of worth it. If he hadn't placed that stupid clause, I'd have has my share of that—"

"Be quiet already. He bought her, she's off the market. Shut up. This is business, not your personal strippers club." One of them hissed, automatically silencing the other voices.

A mass of the cigarette fas swift into my nostril, forcing me jerk back to life, coughing my lungs out.

"She's awake!" One of them said.

Lifting my head, I caught the vision of four hefty men, each in black tuxedo with a name tag I couldn't quite read from where I sat, tied down to a chair in the middle of a basement that was coated in green, manure-looking substances.

Three of the men rose from the raggedy splash they had been sitting on and started walking up to me in slow steps.
