Chapter 16

If anyone had told me I’ll be going to Maui for my thanksgiving break, I’d have laughed at and called them stupid. Well, here I was, on a private jet, with my mate, to Maui.

“What are you thinking of?” Brain asked, walking toward me.

“Uh? Uh?’ I blinked back to reality.

He gave a lopsided smile and sat beside me, buckling his seatbelt. “Were you thinking about me?”

“In your wildest dreams,” I rolled my eyes. The servers brought our meal and it was cooked and presented like those I had seen in movies of people with high-class. “This is a private jet. Brian, you're rich.," that realization just struck me.

"I guess." He shrugged.

So many questions flooded my thoughts, like why the heck was someone rich enough to own a private jet working as a professor. I guess that's what this trip is for; I was going to uncover everything about him. By that, I meant both abstract and physical.
