Chapter 38: A Night At The Park I

The moon casted a silver, ethereal glow upon the pathway that led to the mansion's exit. Stars scattered across the sky like diamonds on a black silk, their illumination twinkling like ancient tales. Crickets chirped in a soothing symphony, their song a lullaby for the nocturnal creatures that stirred.

A gentle breeze whispered through the trees, carrying the scent of blooming jasmine as Vanessa and Alexander strolled hand in hand through the park.

"I can't believe we will soon be parents, Alexander," Vanessa said, her voice filled with awe and enthrallment. "It was a dream, and I am here living it."

Alexander squeezed her hand affectionately, a smile grimacing his lips. "If it's a dream, then I don't want to wake up from it," Alexander replied, and they locked gazes for a while, both of them unwilling to let go of each other as they felt hooked at a corner.
