Eighty

"What is wrong with you, Kyra?" The woman asked again as she touched her daughter's forehead.

"I'm fine, Mum." She managed a whisper but the woman was having none of it.

"Don't tell me that, Kyra." Her mum cried out. "You haven't eaten anything since morning. Even the oat you managed to drink, you puked everything. All of it."

The edges of her eyes were etched with worry as she stared at her daughter. She hadn't even slept a wink the night before because her daughter kept vomiting all night.

It wasn't even up to a day that Kyra was sick and she already looked so pale. Her hair was all over the place and it looked like a bird nest. Her lips had become so pale that if asked what the color is, anyone would say white. The purple bags under her eyes were evident and her sunken eyes were staring blankly at her mother.

What was worse was that the girl wasn't even making any efforts to do anything and it was noon already.
