Killian's POV The pack doctor had been summoned to treat me on time as my case was very crucial. He had been applying those dotes on my legs and it took approximately six hours before I could heal. Even my wolf couldn't do much of healing. "You're now free to go," he said and discharged me. I felt like still lying in bed but he pushed me to the ground and I landed with a loud thud. He scooted his feet away from her before I would kick his ass off for being so rude and impertinent towards the Alpha. The memories of where Brielle could swoon to my memory as I mind-linked the dudes I employed to help me retrieve her from the hands of her bloodthirsty criminal called Hades. "Hey," I said through the mind link, "where is Brielle? I shouldn't be asking if you eventually caught up with her. I should be asking where you locked her up. Huh?" "Sure, you should ask that same question. Well, she's locked in the store." He said. "What!!" I yelled but he disconnected from the mind link and t
Brielle's POV As soon as I saw Killian appear at the door front, I knew trouble was about to arise. I quickly got to my feet and scooted to one corner of the room. He broke through the door and headed towards Hadees. I assumed he would bring many of his warriors along, so while fighting Hades, they'd seize and take me away but it wasn't so. Maybe it was going to be so. But immediately I saw that Hades might be losing the argument between him and Killian, I tiptoed out of the room and ran as fast as possible out of the pack. I needed space. I had gone through several unpalatable situations. I needed space from all the world meant to me. I was stopped by some security rogues. I had run into their arms. Luckily, they were nice security wolves. They pulled him into a tight hug as my heart panted fast against their chest but again, I knew being in this pack wasn't the situation still. While Hades tried his best and brought me to his pack again, I was captured by Killian's men again. T
Dylan's POV We had lost Brielle once more. I was not on Killian's side anymore. Hades saved my life and even if I found out Brielle's location, I would lead her to Hades, not Killian. I was still in the room where Brielle was formerly kept, and I could sense the tension rising outside. It seemed like they were pushing some set of wolves out of the pack to slay them in front of anyone. What could have angered Killian to do that? I walked towards the window and peeped through as I saw that up to nineteen wolves had laid to the ground while Killian's high-ranking officials surrounded all of them with daggers knives and guns strapped to them. I breathed a sigh of relief since they didn't come for me but when my eyes stared better at those victims, I realized they were the nineteen wolves that we had chosen to support us in the escape of Brielle. How the hell were they caught? One must have escaped or been killed since they were twenty but I guessed they were coming for me as well. The
Hades' POV How my men got here so quickly still amazed me. Dylan had hindered us from going out of this place. I knew how dangerous it was. Up to five people had died right in front of me. I was only able to mask my scent because I had the special wolf as an Alpha. I had informed him about how dangerous this place was and how urgent we should leave but I understood that he might have sighted some more dangerous people outside. I was glad that two of the five men who came with me were able to escape with us anyway. If the monsters didn't kill the three, he wouldn't see the big deal in escaping from here. We ran out, the other two escaping narrowly as a machete landed heavily on the ground they just stepped away from. If they had waited half a second, their legs would have been cut off totally. We ran deeper into the woods as we couldn't run toward the direction of Killian's pack anymore. I sensed Killian's men were around us, maybe more like spies. If anyone approached any of us
Killian's POV I was the Alpha of my pack, everyone knew that, but the injuries sustained by Hades' men and that traitor called Dylan, needed to be addressed urgently. More warriors came to this place and led me straight to the pack healer's district. Anyone being treated at that moment would need to be taken away while I sit on the bed, I mean the VIP bed. "What about my men? The warriors that were shot in the leg." I asked the ones conveying me to the pack healer but their response was kind of vague. I wanted to release myself from their grip and kick them in their asses, but they held me tighter and didn't permit me to make a move till we got into the pack healer's district where they dumped me on the bed. I knew right then that if it wasn't for their cooperation with me ever since I could have easily died amongst them as their combined energies might bring me down. But loyalty was something considered with high reference back then and I could sense that in the lives of my warri
Killian's POV I knew Hades as a deceiver. He could be in the midst of my pack while I divulge secrets to him. The secret I've always tried to hide. I wouldn't relent in pursuing him as the warriors were all set now. They had been training for many hours and I deemed them fit to crush any rogue sighted at the first instance. "Come with me!" I ordered as they followed right behind, marching like the warriors they were. Once Brielle returned to me, I'd ensure I also searched for Hades and murdered him. It's high time I did that. It's funny how none of my warriors or close friends had suggested that yet. I chose a warrior from all of them, to be right beside me. I had noticed his special kind of wolf and how he regarded training and even people in high ranks of power. His name was Festus. He was to be by my side till Hades would be caught. "Sniff the air. Her scent must be stuck to the air," I said as we marched out of the pack while a reliable wolf took control in the meantime, "an
Killian's POV No. I wasn't going to give up. I needed to seize Brielle from his grip. He had run out of the hideout, his clothes burning up in flames. That was so entertaining to watch, but at the same time, he could flee with Brielle. "Why are you waiting, watching him?" I asked my men who were close to him when he escaped. I wondered why they hesitated to fire at him. "You all should stay somewhere while I go confront him myself," I said and composed myself as I shifted into my wolf. I could sense some of them following me behind, probably to ensure I was safe. I didn't attack them anymore. I left them to follow me since their disobedience might be of prior importance to me now. I could see Hades running and panting heavily as he headed towards the deeper side of the woods. Once he stared back and saw me running towards him with his wolf, he turned to another direction and hid somewhere. I suddenly didn't see him anymore, but I could still sniff Brielle's scent. I had promised t
Killian's POV I was still limping towards the direction they took down the woods to find another safe hideout when I suddenly felt enervated. My wolf needed to complete my healing before I would move many distances. I dropped to the ground and released a sigh. There's a large grin on my face and I would kill anyone sighted, especially any of my wolves. They were all damn cowards. I felt like I needed to get down to the pack to gather some more able-bodied wolves to pursue Hades since I knew the direction they were going. I tried to rise to my feet but I dropped to the ground again, sighing heavily. I tried to connect my mind to the pack's link, to inform the warriors about it. But my wolf wasn't responding. "Calm down," my wolf spoke to me. I could hear the voice in my head as though someone was right behind me, speaking. After a few more hours in the middle of the woods, my wolf completed the healing and I hid behind a tree when I noticed a rogue wolf coming towards me. The eyes
Hades' POVWe had returned to our room even before the party was rounded off. I appointed several maids to cater for her while they helped her move her luggage towards her private district for the pack which was now termed as the Luna district. She was over the moon for the development, moving into her district that was more than a chamber. She pulled me into a tight hug and each night, I would go visit her to see how she's faring, and how her new district was treating her.One sunny afternoon, our paths crossed in the field but one of her maids requested for her attention."Attend to your maid first," I told her and a smile appeared across her chin. Before I could turn back, Dylan walked up to me and pulled me into a tight hug. I hugged him compassionately, grateful to have crossed his path in my journey of saving Brielle, and claiming her - fighting for my love, my mate."How has been the rule - the wolves under you?" I asked as he forced a smile across his chin before he retorted,
Brielle's POVIt was the dead of the night and Hades was asleep already. The pack was peaceful as expected. I slowly sat up in bed, yawning to remain conscious.I sat on the chair and pulled out the book I was earlier studying. I flipped the pages open until I felt some hands wrapping around me. I shifted my gaze and turned back. It was Hades."You scared me," I said, pouting my lips. His eyes were still red from lack of sleep as he said, "come to bed. Let's sleep. We'll wake up tomorrow and continue our work.""I'll join you soon." I said, "don't worry about me. Just reading a few pages, promise.""No." He retorted and pulled me towards himself. He collected the book from me and flung it back to the box.I had to sleep in bed till dawn as he rested his head below my chest while my legs were wrapped around his.It was morning and I suddenly noticed I was the only one in bed. The restroom door suddenly opened and he showed up."Brielle. You're up!" He screamed excitedly, scooting his f
Hades' POVIt was time for me to return to my pack again. I had spent two days in the forest already. The moon goddess had called me to the hunt trip to face her for some redemption for the sins I've committed, the blood on my hands and some other atrocities. She said many things about Brielle but there was a part she didn't mention yet, claiming Brielle would reveal it to me anytime later, but I shouldn't be the one to ask.The pack cheered with applause and the Beta rushed to greet me as soon as I arrived. He helped me with the luggage with me, as I almost ran into the security men. I wanted to walk so quickly so no one would stop me for any reason. For today, I was treated like a celebrity, a nice one."The wolves want to throw up a party to welcome you back to the pack. Shall..." He asked, but I interrupted, "let them throw the party."He happily left me after dropping the luggage in my room. I could see how Brielle rolled her eyes at him, but I guessed she wasn't just in the mood
Brielle's POVHades had left for the hunting trip he claimed he was going to. I was in the room alone now, meditating on some certain books when the door creaked open. It reminded me that I had left it slightly ajar.I turned back to check who was there. I was shocked to see his Beta, what did he want from me? He knew Hades had gone but what did he want?"How may I help you?" I asked, as he glared at me, then he shut the door and leaned against it."I'm the acting Alpha of the pack for a few days now. Regard me as that." He said and walked towards the kitchen. He grabbed some fruits from the fridge and took some other diets, then came to the room to devour them."What are you doing?" I asked."If you're not blind," he replied, "I am eating and once I am done eating, I'll eat another thing.""Not from the fridge or the kitchen!" I yelled."Certainly not." He retorted. My gaze reduced as I asked, "how do you mean then?""When I'm done eating, just wait and watch me do my stuff. I am the
Hades' POVSince I had informed Brielle about my departure from the pack for a day or two or at most, three, I deemed it fit to announce it to the pack as well.I contacted my wolf to connect to my Beta's, as I needed him to be in my room very soon. Like though my Beta had preplanned to be in my room, he rang the doorbell quickly. I rushed to get it open, welcoming him in while instructing Brielle to cover her body with the duvet."Alpha, you called me." He said."Yes." I replied and we moved to the kitchen to discuss so Brielle wouldn't hear us out or have an inkling about what our discussion was about. I also needed to ask him a few questions different from the announcement to the pack about my departure."What about Killian? Have you guys buried him?" I asked."We threw his body in the dungeon," he replied, "but he really died. He was brutalized. I stabbed him in the heart thrice before dumping his body in the dungeon, to be certain he really died."I heaved a deep sigh of relief
Hades' POVThe time had come already. I had had several chances to slit his throat and end his life right there but I considering beating him to death as the best option. It was the best revenge ever - served cold."What'd you wanna do now?" He asked as I pinned him to the ground. I directed the knife towards his eyes as he shivered slightly, trying to maintain composure."If you tempt me..." I stuttered. Thinking he would endear me to go ahead, I waited for his response."I am not tempting you, Hades." He said and breathed heavily as I dropped the knife to the ground.Brielle was standing at a close distance to us, shivering slightly as tears pricked around the corners of her eyes. She could no longer withstand him being tortured, and again, there was nothing she could do to it.If she didn't escape from my pack to seek shelter from him, she wouldn't have met him in the first place. Why should she be emotional now?"I thought you're going to be too stubborn to endear me to gouge out
Hades' POVI had just completed a serious session of sex with Brielle and she was looking a bit pale, I had to leave her for sometime. She rushed to the restroom and locked the door before I could get in. She knew I could be aroused, merely by how hee ass wiggled when she moved.I laid in bed, having some rest from the tasks I had undergone earlier, when a message got to my mind. My wolf informed me about another wolf trying to access my mind link to convey an important message. When I connected with the message, it was one of the rogues that was torturing Killian. They had been redeemed and I shouldn't call them rogues anymore but for the fact that I wanted everyone to point to rogues as the killer of Killian, I would keep calling them rogues."I'm sorry. We're sorry in general," he started as I could guess what had happened already."He slipped from your hands?" I asked, waiting to get the expected response."No," he replied and I heaved a deep sigh of relief, "someone broke through
Hades' POVI had sensed he was awake while we yet spoke. I deliberately refrained myself from speaking with the pack doctor outside his chamber. I wanted him to know everything that would be done to him and the main reason why he was brought to the pack healer. Fine, I didn't ask the rogues to bring him to the pack healer but they knew what I wanted. They had heard of he has made me go through, how unfairly he had treated Brielle and wanted him to suffer before closing his eyes slowly and giving up the ghost. I wasn't going to change my mind, not for the murder of Killian."Let me go. Now." He furiously said as he pushed me to the ground while I fell with a big thud. He ran towards the rear direction of the pack, hoping to escape by climbing the fence but my wolf eyes for enraged as my wolf speedily ran after him, catching up with him before he could run away. The rogues soon joined me and the knife was with them. I retrieved it and stabbed his feet with it. I wanted to see how he wa
Killian's POVI had been captured by them. The charm didn't work out eventually. If only I knew, I could have killed the magician. He claimed to be an expert at black magic, yet his experiment didn't even work out at all."I won't touch you," Hades said as he walked into the torture room again where I had been chained to a pole, "but I'll ensure they beat the hell out of you.""Haven't they done enough?" I asked, my voice barely audible."You can ask such question?" He asked, laughing hard as possible, mocking me to the bones."I am not sorry. If you are not cowardice enough, come here and kill me yourself. Don't ask anyone to do that, stupid coward." I said, not relenting. He needed to be dealt with. Whether I was bound or not, I would always defend my rights."And if you're not going to kill me, then fucking unchain me and let me get the hell out of your stupid pack!" I yelled at him.Why was he being so brutal? Since I wouldn't ever get to kiss Brielle or be her best friend and mat
