Hades' POV Not so long after I was informed about my kid coming towards the hideout, I sighted him at a distance. I waved at him and he waved back. I was glad he could see me effortlessly. I hurried off to meet him lest any rogue stop him from getting to me. As I got to where he was, I lifted him to my hands but his heart was beating fast. I didn't say any words yet. I didn't ask him how he got here but I knew something wasn't right. I chuckled softly to ease the tension but his heart raced faster with terror. "They're coming. Hurry." He finally spoke up as I shifted to my wolf, throwing my head back while my fingers grew into claws. He hunched to my back as I sped off from there. It looked like vampires were around that corner or probably I didn't see them well. All that was paramount at the moment was my son's safety. I eventually got to my pack and shifted back. My son slowly dropped from my back as I held his hands and we marched towards the pack. We got in now as every wolf
Killian's POV She was the one. I saw her. I knew it. That daughter of Jezebel had found her way out of the pack’s cell again. How did she do it? I instructed my Beta to secure the pack’s cell with capable warriors, most especially the room where she was locked up. I didn't expect to see her but these ladies were more than satisfying me, so I wasn't too stressed to think about her. An hour flew by, and I knew it was high time I acted. I needed to do something real quick. She could start exposing my secrets now that she's free. My wolf was trying to convince me she was not the one who stood by my doorstep and watched me. Though I wasn't a hundred percent certain, I still needed to confirm my doubts. "Enough, enough," I said to the ladies but they continued. I kicked the one riding me to the ground while I pushed the one sitting on my chest to the bed. I angrily fumed at them as I got up, and walked towards my wardrobe to get dressed. Both of them stood by the door, waiting for me to
Brielle's POV He suddenly pulled me out, flinging me at the walls as I collided with my back on the ground, my head aching severely as a result. He furiously came towards me again, pulling me up and pinning me to the wall. My breaths choked and I yearned for release but his gaze was burning and the expression on his face wasn't smiling. "Why did you escape? How did you?" He asked and began to laugh hysterically. "You have exposed the secret to people, have you not?" He asked, gently closing in on me as he sniffed the breaths coming from my nose. "I didn't. I promise." I struggled to say but he smirked and shot me a deadly glare. This time around, his gaze remained fixed on me as I felt like I was going to be burned anytime from now. "On your knees!" He ordered and released his grip on my neck. As I slowly crashed to my knees, I began to cough loudly, trying to clear my throat. "Silence." He ordered and stooped as he roughly adjusted my jaw, commanding me to stare at him in the
Hades' POV It was almost noon, yet I was still in my room. Today wasn't a bright one for me. After murdering the dude, I'd been moody though that wasn't the specific cause of the moodiness. Brielle's absence gave me a headache every time as different ideas of getting her back flooded into my memory but I didn't know how to tackle them. I contemplated discussing it with my Beta but he might leak the secrets, wouldn't he? My son was right beside me in bed, his eyes shut, his palms still placed on his eyes so I wouldn't get mad and remove them as I had threatened. "Hey boy, come on," I said and nudged him but he didn't respond. As I scrutinized his face, I realized that he had slept off. I sighed deeply and turned to the other direction of the room, trying to pen down my ideas of getting Brielle back. I had sneaked, I had risked my life, and I had sent warriors as spies, just to get her back. I had gotten her back but still, she sneaked out of the room and still tried to confirm who
Brielle's POV I wasn't aware that someone was coming towards the door. It suddenly pushed open as the guards that came in fired shots at my legs before I could say a word. I dropped the gun on the ground and lifted my hands to indicate my innocence. I could see the master of the Omegas coming towards me. She had been instructed to drag me to the Omega district so I'd start working there, and never get to see Killian again. My problem now wasn't staying in Killian's pack. It was: Killian, do you need me in your pack? If yes, treat me well. If not, then let me leave and meet Hades who has been waiting for me for a long time. He has risked a lot of lives and his own life even, to get to me. If not I wanted to be a hero by confirming who was lurking around in his pack, I would still be in his pack and Killian would have to try again before getting me. Right now, I couldn't leave to be with the one who truly wanted me neither was I enjoying my stay at the pack of the one who chased me
Brielle's POV My wolf grew weaker from the whips being lashed at me. I had no other option than to accept my fate and believe I would die from being flogged. What made the whole scenario worse was that men were appointed to lash me, and not women. I was certain anything related to mercy had been erased from their dictionaries. They didn't grow tired as they kept flogging me as though their lives depended on the intensity of the whip on my body. They were still contemplating amputating my arms when the last person out of them all, whom they were expecting the final say from, nodded his head as he approved it. The one close to me slowly untied my right arm as he placed the knife around my shoulder, about to slice it down so I would be armless and it would be more difficult to flee. My eyes were growing redder as he sliced my chin with the knife which oozed blood. He threatened to slice my neck if I didn't cooperate with him. Killian wasn't here to give it a second thought. Hades
Brielle's POV My eyes snapped open as the foul smell from my new relocation swooned into my nose. I wanted to rise to my feet but here was too dark. I felt like I was on the ground, the mere floor, not the tiled one where I used to be. There wasn't any illumination from anywhere. The last scene that happened before now suddenly returned to my head as I connected it with this current situation. Had I been thrown away or forsaken in some kind of jungle? I rose to my feet though I couldn't see anything forward or behind me. When I got tired of staring at the dark, I lowered myself to the ground and traced my hands to and fro to see if there was anyone close to me. But all I could feel was bones. BONES?! Instinctively, my wolf informed me that we were in the dungeon. The big hole where the bones of murdered wolves were always dumped. Killian's pack had it as well. It was the same place I avoided and hid in a corner when Killian's spy kidnapped me from Hades' pack. I summoned my wolf
Hades' POV The priests were still waiting by the doorstep, expecting me to leave as soon as possible. As I came out of the hall, I shot them a deadly glare and they took a few steps back. My eyes were a bit reddened as I hadn't received an expected message from the moon goddess. Not that the moon goddess had lied to me about anything before now, but I didn't believe her this time around. I was losing faith. I was losing hope to get Brielle and own her eventually. As I walked back towards my room, I assumed a beastly mood, not wanting to stare at anyone, so I wouldn't be moved to kill such. I wasn't in the mood to say a word. My beta noticed from a distance and hurried inside my room, coming out again with the kid's hands clutched to his. I hissed and walked faster to catch up with him but he vanished out of sight. He knew something bad could happen to the kid I'd care wasn't taken. I didn't know who was going to take care!! I wasn't going to!!! He has made a brave move to captur
