Elena's POV
I ran until my legs couldn't carry me anymore. The forest seemed endless, and I felt like I was trapped in a nightmare. Finally, I collapsed onto a rocky surface, getting little injuries and gasping for breath. Oliver's words echoed in my mind: "You're mine, Elena.” I was confused and surprised. I shuddered at the memory. How could he say that after rejecting me? What changed? It wasn't up to a few hours ago when he told me that I couldn't be his mate and here he his claiming me. As the darkness closed in around me, I realized I had to keep moving. The rival pack could still be out there. With newfound determination, I pushed myself up and continued, my senses on high alert. Suddenly, a faint light appeared in the distance. Hope flickered to life within me. As I drew closer, I saw a small cabin nestled among the trees. Smoke drifted lazily from the chimney. My body ached from all sides, I staggered to the cabin. My strength was depleted, my mouth dried up, and my body ached. I stumbled and fell on my face, my body weak to get up. Just then a shadow appeared before me but my vision was blurry and I couldn't see who it was. “Hello, please help me!” I said in a whisper, using all my strength to reach out for him but before I could get to his hands I passed out from exhaustion. ******** My eyes fluttered open slowly, adjusting to their surroundings. “Where am I?” I asked myself, my mind flashed back to when I walked towards a cabin and saw a shadow before I passed out. “I'm in the cabin?” I asked myself, “But who was the person who helped me? I’m I in any kind of danger? I should get out of here, it might not be safe” I tried to get up but my eyes spinner so hard, that I ended up throwing up at the side of the bed with a splitting headache. My body aches increased and I was running temperature. “I guess I have a fever!” I said to myself “Yes, you do!” I heard a feminine voice, I turned to see an old woman with grey hair, “which is why you must rest and be strong. You have a rough road ahead of you.” I stared at her surprised about what she said: “Who are you and who carried me into the house?” She walked into the room, she had a cup which brought out steam. She dropped the cup next to me on a table, “I’m Ana…….and I’m the one who brought you in.” I stared at her like she had grown horns in her head. How can an old woman like her be able to lift me? She picked up the cup and handed it over to me. “Drink!” I stared at the contents of the cup, it was a dark liquid that was hot. I was suspicious of it, as I took a quick sniff of it, but it had no particular smell. “It’s for your fever….. so drink” I stared at her with lots of questions, “If I wanted you dead, I think I should have killed you when you were unconscious.” “Fair,” I said to her, I brought the cup to my lips and drank it. The taste made me squeeze my face from the bitter taste, I passed her the cup but she refused to take it. “You need to finish it,” she said with a straight face I looked at her and back at the potion, it tasted so bitter but I chugged it down, holding my nose to help me swallow it. “Done!” I passed her the cup as I tried to control my gag reflex. She took the cup “You need to lay down and rest, I will bring your dinner after I clean up after you.” I laid down as she instructed, feeling a little better “Don’t you have someone who helps you?” I asked her “Nope, I’m the only one here.” She flicked her wrist and a green light shimmered brightly, the same light I saw in the infirmary. The light faded after a while, and when I looked the room was in perfect shape as it was. My mouth opened and I was stunned, by what just happened. I pinched myself just in case I was still asleep. “Who are you?” I asked her, a little scared of her. She smiled a little, then flicked her wrist again, “Sleep……we will talk about it when you are all better” “But…..” just then my eyes began to shut down, my brain not able to register anything and the next thing I saw was darkness. Oliver's POV I stood watch over the forest, my eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of Elena. She was gone, but I knew she couldn't hide forever. It has been over two days and I was getting worried. I heard a buzz in my mind, breaking the silence. "Lucas," I answered. "Sir, we found the rival pack's den," Lucas reported. "We're moving in now." "Keep me updated," I growled, my mind still on Elena. As I ended the mind connection, a nagging feeling crept in. Elena wasn't just running from me; she was running from herself and I was determined to find out why. I turned back to join the team to capture the rival gang. They might be the one who has Elena, as she wouldn’t have been able to go that far on foot. As I joined my team, Lucas briefed me on the plan. "We've got the rival pack's den surrounded," he said, his voice low and steady. "Let's move in," I growled, my instincts on high alert. We stormed the den, taking down the rival pack members with swift precision but Elena was nowhere to be found. A mix of relief and frustration coursed through me. Where was she? Had she been taken by someone else? The questions swirled in my mind as we secured the den.Elena’s POVI woke up feeling a bit stronger but still weak. My fever had broken, but my body ached like I had run for days without rest. The mysterious old woman, Ana, entered the room again with a bowl of hot soup.“You need to eat,” she said firmly, handing me the bowl.I hesitated. “Who are you, really? And why are you helping me?”Ana sat down beside the bed, her eyes studying me. “I’ve lived in this forest for many years, child. The pack wars have affected us all, even those of us who don’t get involved. I help where I can, and I can sense when someone is in need. As for who I am…let’s just say I’ve been around long enough to see many stories like yours.”Her words puzzled me, but I was too tired to press for answers. I took a sip of the soup, the warmth soothing my throat. “You talk like you know more about me than you’re letting on.”Ana’s expression softened. “I know a lot, Elena. You’re not just an ordinary wolf. But for now, you need to rest and regain your strength. When y
Elena’s PovOliver stood looking at me and the old lady in surprise. I was not only standing up to him but I stood my ground. He looked at Ana with a glare “Who are you? And why are you on my land?”Ana walked to a chair, taking a seat, “Young warlord, who I am is not necessary but who are you and why is your fate tied to hers?” Oliver looked at me, then back to Ana “So…..why is my fate tied to hers?” He asked with a tone of sarcasm. “That’s not for me to say but know that she is someone who you would need by your side,” Ana told Oliver, he stood up in anger and glared at Ana.“Elena, you have two minutes to say your goodbye, meet me outside, and let’s go or else I will come in and drag you back,” Oliver said and stormed off from the house.I exhaled, knowing that I had to go back, I turned to face Ana, she had a smile on her face and I instantly felt bad. For the first time in my life, I found someone who treated me like a human and helped me without anything in return.I held her
Elena's PovThe next morningI woke up to the sound of my door creaking open. I groggily opened my eyes to see Oliver standing there with a tray of food. I grumbled at the disturbance, “What do you want?” I asked as I used the pillow to cover my face."Elena, you haven't eaten in over 24 hours. You need to eat something," he said softly.I turned my face away, not wanting to look at him. "Leave me alone, Oliver."He sighed and walked closer to me. "Elena, please. You're weakening yourself. Just eat something."I felt his hand touch my shoulder, and I flinched. "Don't touch me."Oliver's hand dropped, and he set the tray down on my bedside table. "Fine. But know that I'm not giving up on us. We need to talk about what happened.""There's nothing to talk about," I mumbled.Oliver's eyes narrowed. "There's everything to talk about. You ran away, Elena. You were injured and alone for weeks. Do you have any idea how worried I was?"I glared at him. "You were worried? You? After what you d
Elena's PovI couldn't shake Hailey's piercing gaze from my mind, and the unease lingered long after Lucas left. Entering my room, I found Oliver sitting in the armchair, his eyes fixed intently on me."You're still ignoring me, I see," he said softly.I sighed, exhaustion washing over me. "What do you want, Oliver?"Oliver stood up, his movements fluid. "We need to talk about what happened. About why you left.""I left because of what you did," I snapped.Oliver's jaw clenched. "I know I hurt you, Elena. But I want to explain—""No!" I cut him off. "You've had plenty of chances. Now, just leave me alone."Oliver's eyes narrowed “Why are you being so stubborn? Why don't you want to hear me out?” I rolled my eyes as I dropped my bag down on the table, “I just want to be left alone……is it too much to ask?”Oliver stood up “Yes it is…..i'm your mate!” “No…..rejected. So please Leave me the fuck alone.” I challenged him, “So please leave my room.” His eyes narrowed down before he turne
Elena’s POVThe warmth of the morning sun filtered through the trees, casting through the light across the training grounds. I stood in line with the other trainees, my mind still replaying the scene from yesterday. Oliver’s persistence lingered like an unhealed wound, and now Chloe’s sudden appearance left me on edge. The pack members’ stares didn’t help—most of them still saw me as an outsider.“Focus, Elena,” I whispered to myself, gripping the handle of the wooden sword as our instructor barked orders.“Push harder, Elena!” his voice cut through my thoughts. I swung with more force, feeling the strain in my muscles. Each strike was a release, a reminder that I could still fight, that I still had control over some part of my life.As I went through the drills, I caught sight of a figure watching from the edge of the training ground—Oliver. His gaze was unyielding, intense, and unsettling. Every time he watched, it was as if he were silently pleading with me, urging me to let him ba
Elena’s povI woke up, already tired of the day and bored about everything. There wasn't any training today, so I decided to tour the pack house where I stayed.I got up from the bed, said a little prayer to the moon goddess and then walked into my bathroom to get ready for the day. I hummed as I showered. When I was done with my bath, I dried my body, applied lotion, and wore my underwear. I put on a black jean and a black t-shirt which was big for me but that's how I liked it.As I walked out of the room, my face collided with someone, the person's chest—-firm but soft. As I massaged my head from the little pain the Collision brought “ouch….watch where you are going!”“I think you should say that to yourself” I looked up to see Lucas with a smile on his face, I rolled my eyes as I shoved past him walking down the hall and he quietly followed behind.“Why are you even here? We have no trains today!” I inquired as he smiled gently at me which made me a little uncomfortable. He shru
Elena’s POVThe hallway seemed quiet as I walked back to my room, yet Lucas’s words stayed with me. “I’ll always be watching, ready to defend you.” A chill ran down my spine. I couldn’t tell if it was meant to be comforting or unsettling, but either way, it was strange.Shaking off the thought, I decided to continue my exploration of the pack house. There was an area I hadn’t been to yet, tucked away down a narrow, dimly lit corridor. I had heard whispers from the other pack members—something about an old archive room. It sounded intriguing.I walked down the hallway, my curiosity building. Just as I turned the corner, a familiar figure stepped into view. It was Chloe, Oliver’s sister. She hadn’t noticed me, but her intense gaze was locked on something hidden at the end of the hallway. For a split second, I saw a glimmer of what looked like frustration—or was it fear? Before I could make sense of it, Chloe turned around, her eyes narrowing as she caught sight of me. “Elena,” she said
Elena’s POVThe chill of the morning air was nothing compared to the storm of emotions brewing inside me. After yesterday’s confrontation with Chloe and my conversation with Lucas, I felt more trapped than ever. The realization of Oliver’s hold on my life was becoming a suffocating weight, and each glance from the pack members only deepened the feeling of isolation.I wandered through the forest surrounding the pack grounds, needing space to think. But no matter how far I went, it seemed that Oliver was always there, lingering in the shadows of my mind. The guilt in his gaze, the attempts to “protect” me—it all felt too little, too late. What I needed was clarity, freedom, and a chance to decide for myself. The rustling of leaves pulled me from my thoughts. I turned, seeing Lucas making his way toward me, his usual calm smile in place.“Didn’t expect to find you here,” he said, his tone light. “You’ve been quiet since yesterday.”I shrugged, not meeting his eyes. “Sometimes quiet is n
Elena’s POVThe next morning, I woke to a soft warmth on my cheek. My eyes fluttered open, and I found Oliver sitting beside me, his hand gently caressing my face. His touch was tender, as if he feared I might vanish.“Morning, my Luna,” he said softly, his voice a soothing melody to my troubled mind.I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes. The weight of yesterday’s emotions still lingered, but his presence calmed the storm within me. “Morning,” I replied, my voice laced with sleep.Oliver handed me a cup of tea, his usual routine when he stayed the night. It was one of the little things he did that made me feel like I belonged in his world, even though I still doubted it at times.“I have a meeting with the council today,” he informed me as I sipped the warm brew. “They’re pressing for answers about the traitor and the attacks. I need you to be cautious, Elena. If the mole gets desperate, they might act rashly.”I nodded, understanding the gravity of his words. “I’ll be careful. But Oliver
Elena’s povI stood by the balcony as my mind went on wondering what was going on in the pack. I have not yet been bonded to Oliver but it was crazy. Sure, the people see me as their Luna and even call me Luna but it was yet an official title. Chloe and Hailey were making sure about that!I was beyond frustrated—-from the war to the impending danger of the pack, to the traitor or mole hidden within the ranks. I had tried to snoop around but things didn't go exactly as planned. Luckily—-the only good thing to come out of this was that Lucas was healed, not fully, but he was making a very quick recovery.I felt a hand placed on my shoulders and I quickly knew who it was—-as only his touch could make my heart skip a million beats.“Hey….what are you doing here?” Oliver asked, I turned to him and hugged him tight. “I'm sorry….” I apologizedI could feel the confusion he felt through the bond, he pulled me back, staring into my eyes “What are you apologizing for?”I threw my face away,
Third povElena’s instincts bristled as Chloe’s parting words lingered in her mind, sharp and unsettling. The air in the packhouse felt heavier, as though suspicion itself had seeped into its walls. She couldn’t shake the feeling that Chloe was hiding something, but the question was what—and why.The library door creaked shut behind Chloe, and Elena exhaled slowly. The confrontation had been subtle, a game of unspoken words and veiled intentions, but it had confirmed one thing: Chloe was no innocent observer in the pack’s recent turmoil.Elena gathered her thoughts and returned to her quarters, where Oliver was waiting, his brows knit in concentration over a map of the pack’s territory.“You’re late,” he remarked without looking up, his voice laced with concern.“I ran into Chloe,” she replied, crossing the room to stand beside him.His head snapped up, hazel eyes narrowing. “What did she say?”“She was… cryptic,” Elena admitted. “She mentioned the pack’s future, but it felt more like
Third povThe morning after the battle arrived slowly, dragging its weight through the packhouse like an unwelcome guest. The faint golden light seeping through the curtains did little to lift the heaviness that lingered in the air. Even the forest seemed muted, as though it too, was recovering from the violence it had witnessed.Elena stood by the bedroom window, her fingers tracing idle patterns on the frosted glass. She had barely slept, her mind replaying the events of the previous night in an endless loop. The rogue Alpha’s lifeless eyes, the blood-soaked ground, the traitor’s betrayal—all of it churned within her, refusing to be silenced.Behind her, Oliver stirred, the rustling of sheets breaking the quiet. She turned to find him sitting up, his hazel eyes dark with fatigue.“You didn’t sleep,” he said, his voice hoarse.“Neither did you,” she replied softly. He sighed, running a hand through his messy hair. “It’s hard to rest when you know there’s a snake in the grass.”She no
Elena’s POVThe aftermath of battle was always heavy with emotion, a strange mix of relief and despair. As the last rays of sunlight dipped below the horizon, casting the battlefield in an eerie twilight, the stench of blood lingered in the air, mingling with the quiet groans of the injured.Oliver’s arm was still wrapped tightly around me as we walked back to the packhouse. His warmth and strength anchored me, even as the adrenaline of the fight began to fade.“Are you hurt?” he asked, his voice low and rough from exhaustion. His sharp eyes scanned me, lingering on the shallow claw marks on my arm.“It’s nothing,” I replied, brushing it off. “You’re the one who looks like he went ten rounds with a rogue Alpha.”He chuckled softly, though the sound was strained. “I’ve had worse. Still, I can’t believe you disobeyed me, Elena.”I opened my mouth to retort, but he stopped abruptly, pulling me close so we were face to face. His expression was serious, his hazel eyes searching mine.“You
Elena’s POVThe silence after Daniel’s departure was deafening. I paced the room, each step echoing against the wooden floor as Beauty’s wide, tear-filled eyes followed my movements. My bond with Oliver throbbed faintly—still there, but the pain I’d felt moments ago had left an ominous shadow. I clenched my hands into fists, forcing myself to remain calm.“Elena, please sit,” Beauty begged, her voice trembling. “You’re making me more nervous.”I paused, taking a deep breath to steady my racing thoughts. Sitting wasn’t an option. The growing unease in my chest demanded action, but I was trapped, bound by Oliver’s order to stay here.“You don’t understand, Beauty,” I murmured, my gaze fixed on the window. The forest stood still, deceptively peaceful. “When you’re bonded, you feel everything. Pain, fear, even—” I stopped, swallowing hard. “Even death.”Her hand flew to her mouth, stifling a gasp. “Don’t say that! He’s strong, Elena. He’ll come back.”I nodded, forcing a tight smile, but
Elena’s POVThe peaceful warmth of the night lingered even as the first light of dawn began to peek through the heavy curtains. Oliver lay beside me, his features softened in sleep. He looked so different like this—vulnerable, unburdened. My fingers itched to trace the lines of his jaw, but I stopped myself, not wanting to disturb the rare moment of calm. The responsibilities of the pack would soon weigh on us again, but for now, I allowed myself the indulgence of watching him. My heart ached with a quiet joy, a feeling I hadn’t dared to dream of before. But as much as I wanted to stay in this cocoon of safety, the world outside wouldn’t wait. I slipped out of bed, careful not to wake him, and wrapped myself in a soft robe. The fire had burned down to embers, the room still faintly warm.Padding quietly to the window, I pulled back the curtain just enough to peer outside. The horizon was streaked with soft pink and gold, the forest bathed in an ethereal glow. It was beautiful, but the
Elena’s POVThe soft glow of candlelight filled Oliver’s private chambers as I entered, my steps hesitant yet drawn toward the warmth he radiated. After the chaos of the past few days, this space felt like an oasis, separated from the weight of duty and danger.Oliver stood by the window, his tall frame illuminated by the pale moonlight. His back was to me, but I could feel his tension even from across the room. He was always strong for everyone else, carrying the burdens of the pack on his shoulders, but tonight, I could sense that weight pressing down on him.“Oliver,” I called softly, my voice breaking the silence. He turned to face me, his eyes tired but softening as they met mine. “Elena,” he said, his tone filled with relief. He crossed the room in long strides, reaching for me as though he needed to confirm I was really there. His hands cupped my face, his thumbs brushing lightly against my cheeks. “Are you okay?” he asked, his gaze searching mine.I nodded, placing my hands ov
Elena’s POVThe infirmary was eerily quiet as the chaos outside settled. The muffled cries of the injured and the hurried whispers of healers were all that remained of the earlier battle. I sat beside Lucas’s bed, my mind still racing with everything that had happened. He was pale but stable, his breathing shallow as he rested. The image of his bloodied body being carried in by Oliver haunted me. The battle had been brutal, and while I knew this wasn’t the first time Lucas had fought to protect the pack, seeing him like this tore at my heart. His earlier confession echoed in my mind, and I couldn’t shake the weight of his words.“Elena?” Oliver’s voice broke through my thoughts.I looked up to find him standing in the doorway, his shirt torn and stained with blood—not all of it his own. His face was grim, exhaustion evident in his every movement.“How is he?” he asked, stepping closer.“The healers say he’ll be okay,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. “But it’ll take time.”
