Elena’s Pov

The music started and we began swaying to the beat. Everyone's eyes were on us and I began to feel kind of shy. This was also the first time we were in the same proximity together, this close, after the ray of events that happened between the both of us.

“You look stunning!” I heard Oliver said and I looked up into his eyes. His beautiful deep black eyes had some spark in them unlike other days.

“Thank you….…You don’t look bad yourself.” I said to him, still blushing at his compliment. He smiled at me as we continued dancing.

I stared around the room and everyone’s attention was on us. I could see Beauty at the side with a huge grin, Hailey and Chloe were glaring at me and if looks could kill I should be dead by now.

I was getting nervous, this is surely going to cause a huge problem for me. I looked around and my eyes landed on Lucas—-his face held no emotions but when his eyes met mine, a flash of sadness went through them quickly but it was for a brief moment before he

Elena’s POVThe next morning, sunlight poured through my window, warming my face and pulling me out of a deep, peaceful sleep. I stretched, reliving the moments from the previous night. My heart was light, a sensation I hadn’t felt in so long. Oliver’s words replayed in my mind—his apology, his promise. And the kiss. My cheeks flushed at the thought. But as the warm feeling lingered, so did the weight of reality. Loving Oliver wasn’t just about the two of us; it was about navigating the storm we’d unleashed. Chloe and Hailey wouldn’t sit idly by. And Lucas—his brief appearance last night left me unsettled. Why was he there? What had he wanted to say?A knock interrupted my thoughts.“Come in,” I called, sitting up and brushing my hair back.Beauty entered, her cheerful smile brightening the room. “Good morning, Luna,” she teased, her tone playful yet kind.I laughed softly. “Don’t start with me, Beauty.”She approached with a tray of tea and toast. “You’re glowing this morning. Elena’s povAfter the meeting, things between Oliver and I took a magical turn. The whole pack knew I was going to be Luna and everyone was beginning to respect me—-well not everyone. Hailey and Chloe still hate my guts and I do everything to avoid them. Speaking of avoid…..Lucas has been avoiding me for the longest time. We had not had any talk after he saw Oliver and me in the garden. It was weird but I had not gotten the chance to talk to him about it yet.As I sat down on my bed wearing my sneakers, and getting ready for training, my door flew open and I did not need a prophet to tell me who it was.“Let's go….we are late!” I heard Beauty’s tiny voice squealing.“Good morning to you too,” I said, my tone laced with sarcasm.“Haha….now get up and let’s go!” She folded her hands. I stood up and walked to the mirror to look at myself. “Beauty!” I called without looking back at her. “Yes,” she replied, sitting down on the bed as I did my hair.“Do you think Lucas is angry with me?

As the last rays of sunlight dipped below the horizon, casting the battlefield in an eerie twilight, the stench of blood lingered in the air, mingling with the quiet groans of the injured.Oliver’s arm was still wrapped tightly around me as we walked back to the packhouse. His warmth and strength anchored me, even as the adrenaline of the fight began to fade.“Are you hurt?” he asked, his voice low and rough from exhaustion. His sharp eyes scanned me, lingering on the shallow claw marks on my arm.“It’s nothing,” I replied, brushing it off. “You’re the one who looks like he went ten rounds with a rogue Alpha.”He chuckled softly, though the sound was strained. “I’ve had worse. Still, I can’t believe you disobeyed me, Elena.”I opened my mouth to retort, but he stopped abruptly, pulling me close so we were face to face. His expression was serious, his hazel eyes searching mine.“You

Elena’s POVThe silence after Daniel’s departure was deafening. I paced the room, each step echoing against the wooden floor as Beauty’s wide, tear-filled eyes followed my movements. My bond with Oliver throbbed faintly—still there, but the pain I’d felt moments ago had left an ominous shadow. I clenched my hands into fists, forcing myself to remain calm.“Elena, please sit,” Beauty begged, her voice trembling. “You’re making me more nervous.”I paused, taking a deep breath to steady my racing thoughts. Sitting wasn’t an option. The growing unease in my chest demanded action, but I was trapped, bound by Oliver’s order to stay here.“You don’t understand, Beauty,” I murmured, my gaze fixed on the window. The forest stood still, deceptively peaceful. “When you’re bonded, you feel everything. Pain, fear, even—” I stopped, swallowing hard. “Even death.”Her hand flew to her mouth, stifling a gasp. “Don’t say that! He’s strong, Elena. He’ll come back.”I nodded, forcing a tight smile, but

Elena’s POVThe peaceful warmth of the night lingered even as the first light of dawn began to peek through the heavy curtains. Oliver lay beside me, his features softened in sleep. He looked so different like this—vulnerable, unburdened. My fingers itched to trace the lines of his jaw, but I stopped myself, not wanting to disturb the rare moment of calm. The responsibilities of the pack would soon weigh on us again, but for now, I allowed myself the indulgence of watching him. My heart ached with a quiet joy, a feeling I hadn’t dared to dream of before. But as much as I wanted to stay in this cocoon of safety, the world outside wouldn’t wait. I slipped out of bed, careful not to wake him, and wrapped myself in a soft robe. The fire had burned down to embers, the room still faintly warm.Padding quietly to the window, I pulled back the curtain just enough to peer outside. The horizon was streaked with soft pink and gold, the forest bathed in an ethereal glow. It was beautiful, but the
