Chapter 79

Hazel's POV

We all headed downstairs with an arm load of books and scrolls and every valuable piece of paper we could carry.

As we reached the living room, I heard Lorena gasp in surprise.

"What's all this?" she asked.

We put the books on the center table and arranged them the best we could.

"We found them in a hole in Chelsea's floor."

I grabbed one of the books and opened it but I couldn't read a single thing. It was all like a foreign language to me. As I tried to decode it, I heard a sigh and a loud thud on the table as a book dropped forcefully on it, messing up the whole pile.

"This is stupid," said Logan angrily. "It's all the same in all the books. It's written in this dumb language."

"I've checked every language on Google Translate and it's in none of them," said Cassie, looking up from her phone. "This language either doesn't exist anymore or it's a mnemonic unique to Chelsea. And you can't see her right now, can you?"

I looked around the room, hoping that Chelsea would show
