JEREMY'S POV

I couldn't possibly be imagining this. This place was deserted to a very large extent. Something was most definitely up.

Every single person that had walked past us or even peeked through their windows at us since we strolled by casually had been either female or child.

It was Jayden that finally responded to my comment. "No, it's not just your mind. This is actually a space dominated by anything other than the male wolves."

Jordan made a show of sniffing the air. "There's no single scent of a male wolf within a 50 mile radius of this place."

"What do you think could be going on?" I asked.

This was seriously crazy. There was no way in hell that all of the men in the pack had just decided to step out on the same day. Especially not after the number of traps we'd had to get past on our way here.

"I think there was more than one trap left waiting for us." Jayden didn't sound too pleased by that possibility. Not that I could blame him, I wasn't pleased by it either.
