Part two: Chapter 35

JAYDEN'S POV

Something was terribly wrong and I could feel it. Contrary to what a lot of people assumed, I wasn't chill with the fact that my brother always counted the number of words he said to me.

I studied his face, the impassiveness displayed there making everything inside of me cringe in annoyance.

"When are we needed? Surely it cannot be immediately," I finally spoke up.

His eyes turned to mine and he shot me a look that made me feel foolish. "When have we ever had the luxury of reporting in whenever we felt like?"

I let the sigh stuck in my chest out. "Fine. Let's go."

Jeremy didn't bother with hiding his displeasure with the situation. He scowled as he walked past Jordan and into the hallway. It was common knowledge, at this point, that Jeremy totally couldn't stand Jordan; but I had no idea if it comprised of anything other than the fact that Jordan was almost always mute.

I pulled my brother aside as I walked up to him, shutting the door to the living room. "W
