Chapter 77

ALEXIS' POV

After school hours ends, I return to my locker and organize it. While other students are hugging their friends rather tearfully and expressing how much they would miss each other during the break, I am all alone and no one bothers to tell me they would miss me. I try to put my eyes on alert for Aurora and probably have a final word with her but unfortunately, I did not catch even the faintest grip of her.

As I shut my closet close, I sigh, a part of me already missing the school. I turn my back against my locker to leave again but my body freezes instantly and my pupils dilate in surprise to see Randall standing right before me. His shoulders are slightly slouched and his back, hunched. His confidence posture is not in sight anymore. He has eye bags underneath his eyes and he looks like he hasn't had a night of sleep. He looks forlorn and sad. I fear to think that I could be the reason he appears this way.

"Hi." He clears his voice and says to me,

"Hi." I reply too, nerv
