Chapter Thirty-One:

Laila POV

“You shouldn’t have let her in the game-”

“She’s fine.” Another voice countered calmly.

The two voices continued while my eyes remained shut, my body was as tired and unmoving but the noise around kept me conscious. I redcognized the firrst person as Ares and the second as Ayesha, whereever i was, it was a bit cold and the voices echoed over the wall.

“You two aren’t helping, you can talk about this outside.” This time, this voice was closer and it was Atlas. The rest of the noise blurred away as i tried to find myself and when i slowly opened my eyes, i found Atlas watching me with his eyes trailed on my face. I pushed backwards and put my back against the headboard while i glanced down at my body.

“What happened?” I asked noticing the bandage on my neck on the mirror close by, i placed my fingers around the material and scrapped against it gently.

“You passed out-” he answered as he accessed me.

“yeah, i remember. It was that remy guy- he- that guy-
