Chapter Seventy-Seven

Laila POV

“Thats enough for one day.” Miera said as Grim’s body dissolved underneath the snow, she moved her fingers clearing off any more piece of Grim left off on the ground. My chest heaved up and down as i stared at what was in front of me, my wide eyes dimmed and i turned to Atlas, who was unmoving in the snow.

“Atlas-” I muttered under my breath and pushed off the ground before racing to him, i knelt beside him and with shaky hands i touched his arms. He doesn’t budge and when i push him further he falls on his back with his face up at me. There was no sign of blood on him but there was no form of movement from him.

Anxiety.

Fear.

Guilt.

All three wretched up within me, he was in this position because of me and he wasn’t moving. Tears trickled down my cheek, the drops fell on his chest as i watched everything fall apart. Atlas was hurt and it was all because of me.

I cradled my face in his chest in hope of him waking up, but my mind went back to what Grim
