“What are you doing here?” I asked, staring down at him with my eyes narrowed at him. He didn't budge, only stared back at me and watched me. It was an intense staring competition to which I failed and blinked away and moved away from him.

I turned around where I tried to keep a straight face, how long had he been here?

“You seemed to be quite lost in your meditation.” He said instead and rose to his feet. I turned back to him again and brushed the sides of my leggings. I opened my mouth to ask him again but refrained myself from doing so, Ares made it clear days back that we weren’t supposed to talk to each other like friends or acquaintances.

I nodded and turned to leave when he grabbed my wrist making me turn back to him.

“You’re giving me the cold shoulder.” He said firmly and I tugged my hands but he wouldn’t let his grip slip up. I laughed and smacked my lips together.

“I am not.”

“Then why aren’t you talking to me?” his brows narrowed, he was not
