**Jasper's POV***Getting to the Lycan king's kingdom, Jason and I both looked out for the spies while on our way to the pack. Since Jason used to be a pack soldier in our former pack. Finding out about these people aren't that much of a hassle. As soon as we got to the pack gate, I turned my gaze towards Jason. “Tell me, what did you find out?”Jason looked at me with paused lips, then he heaved a deep sigh. “Indeed there are spies on the way. I guess this Alpha, Tristan of an Alpha truly wish to see the king dead.”“Good thing we are here, then. But how do we seek an audience with the royal beta at this rate?”I asked, since that's something we don't know how to do. Just then. I noticed that the people who were allowed to pass through the gates each had something to present to the guards outside the gate.Jason and I both took quick glances at one another.“What do we present?” Jason asked.
**Stan's POV***After completing all pack activities for the day, I decided to have a stroll outside. This way I'll be able to stretch my nerves. Though I know going out this way won't give me need about the king, I still hoped that he would one day shows up in front of the pack. Even though all evidence of his death has been announced, I still refused to believe that he had died after everything he's done to save his kingdom, the moon goddess couldn't have just watched the enemy kill him. At this point, I'm the only one trying to safeguard the pack because it seems like no one will be able to do so anymore. All our supporters were gradually giving up on the search for the king. They all believed that the king was dead. Not to talk about what Alan and Alpha Stark have been doing in recent times. This was terribly frustrating. Why did such an unfortunate event have to befall the king? Where do I go from here? Where exactly am I supposed to go se
**Tristan's POV**I was on my balcony, enjoying the evening breeze and sipping wine when Wayne suddenly invaded my privacy. “Alpha, there's something I have to report to you.”“What now! Can't it wait? You of all people know this is my resting time. Whatever you have to say can wait until you are finally prepared to hear whatever it is.”“Alpha, trust me, you would rather not wait until another day to hear what I have to say.”“I don't care what you have to say. You'll only do as I ask now, do not get me angry!”“The men stationed at the Lycan king's territory have all been killed except one,” Wayne blurted out despite my warnings, and this immediately made me freeze. I slowly stood up from my chair and took my gaze towards him. “What did you just say?”“Alpha, I know this must sound unbelievable, but this is what is happening right now.”“Shit! Tell me, who dared to kill my men!” “Alpha, I think you should come see the survivor yourself. He's in a better position to explain to yo
**Freya's POV***In the silence of my room, I kept thinking about how to give Tristan the reply he wanted from me. Though I had already decided to say yes to him, I still wanted to say it in a way that wouldn't sound suspicious. I know Tristan and the fact that he'll suspect any abnormalities from my end. I know I can do it, but I can't help but think of what will happen to me after getting married to him. Will he continue pretending to be nice to me, or does he plan to show me his tried colors after I'm married to him? These questions plagued my thoughts, and I just couldn't come up with something worth making me ease my mind for. While I was wallowing in my thoughts, I suddenly heard a sharp knock on my door, which immediately snapped me off my thoughts. I creased my brow that very Instant when the smell came on familiar and my heart skipped all at once. It can't be who I'm thinking it is. I mean, why would he even think of coming here?I
**Freya's POV***“Oh, and here I thought something was wrong. Good thing you're okay then. Got me worried about you.”When he said this, I noticed he was still looking around the place. I have to be honest with myself. I don't feel good at all. I don't want to be caught off guard. Just then, he turned his attention towards my bathroom, and I suddenly felt sick to my stomach. “Elizabeth, don't you notice something strange?”“Strange? What do you mean?” I asked. While staring at him. I hoped from the bottom of my heart for him not to go over to the bathroom. “I sense something familiar,'' he began walking towards the bathroom. Oh, no! This is what I've been trying to avoid ever since. How come he's still about finding out what I thought I'm keeping from him? He continued to walk over to the bathroom until he paused in the bathroom door. Goddess help me! What am I going to do if he finds Tyler in the bathroom? I'll be s
**Tristan's POV***Getting to my office, though I was excited that she had agreed to give me a response tomorrow, I still can't help but think that something was wrong somewhere. The fact that I smelled Tyler's scent in her room. Could it be that I was the one who was mistaken? I mean, that was the first time that I was perceiving such a scent. But how was that even possible? Tyler should be in the cell, so there's no way he'll be in Freya's room at this time. Just to be certain, I quickly mind linked Wayne. Wayne came into my office, shortly after. “Alpha, what is the matter?”“Wayne, I want you to go to the dark dungeon. You are not to say anything to the guards. I want you to go into Tyler's cell and find out what he's up to.”“Huh? What is he up to?”“Do that now, and stop asking me stupid questions!” I thundered at him. Immediately, he bowed his head and exited my office. I stood up from my chair and began to pace from place to place anxiously. I have a bad feeling about th
**Arnold's POV**It's been two days since Jason and Jasper journeyed over to my pack. Each passing minute brings nothing but fear of the unknown. I don't know if they'll be able to find their way to the pack, or be able to avoid the spurs on the way. More than anything, I just want them to be safe. That's not too much to ask for, is it?”While I was lost in thoughts, Amon suddenly came running towards me from the woods. “Your Majesty, I think someone's coming towards our direction,” Amon announced. This quickly snapped me off my thoughts that very moment. “Amon, what are you talking about?” I asked as I ran towards him. If they are enemies, I might have to either stand back and fight them or run away. But then, I'm not so sure who these people are or how many they might be. One thing is disturbing though, and that is the fact that I can't stay back to fight the enemies when Amon is with him. The lady thing I ever wanted is to see Amon get hurt. I'm not sure if I'll be able to for
**Arnold's POV**“Your Majesty, what did you just say? Amon is coming with you?”Jasper asked in shock. “Yes, are you surprised that he's coming with me?”“But of course. I mean, how's that even possible? Amon has vowed that he was going to stay here with us all his life.”“But, Jasper, don't you think that'd be unfair for the kid? I mean, I understand that you all had that mindset since I didn't know about his existence, but now that I know, there's no way I'll let him stay here. I mean, the few days you've been gone, we bonded greatly.”“Uhm, Your Majesty, I don't think I understand what's going on here?” Stan asked, seemingly lost in thoughts. “Ah, I should have known that you have no idea what's going on.”“Who's Amon?” Stan asked while staring at each of our faces.”“Amon, is my son.”“Huh!” Stan uttered, wide-eyed. “H… how's that possible? Your Majesty, are you saying you fathered a child without my knowledge? This is unacceptable! How could you do this to me.”“Uhm, Stan, p
Arnold's POVI went into the building to start searching for Elizabeth. There were few rogue soldiers around, but I easily slayed them. My mind was all focused on finding my mate first. A few minutes into walking in, I spotted Alan in one of the rooms. “Alpha Arnold…” He mumbled as soon as he saw me. I barely have time to fight anyone right now. I'll deal with him after I find her for sure. Surprisingly, Alan wasn't pleased with the fact that I'm walking away from him. “You cannot leave without a fight. I don't think I'll be able to walk out of this anymore. Let's settle this, you either kill me and go on with your journey or I do so and claim my place as the next Lycan King!" He blurted out. I was so confused but at the same time, it explained why he was siding with Tristan in the first place. “So you decided to side with my enemy just so you could become the next Lycan king. That has to be the dumbest decision you've made.” I said and shook my head in disgust. “Call me stupid o
Tristan's POVI attacked Tyler m, attempting to slay him and he quickly blocked my attack skillfully. He blocked my sword and cut my hand, giving it a small scar. “You gave me a scar. I must say you have honed your sword fighting skills since we last had a duel. But you're forgetting something important, I taught you how to use the sword.” I said and attacked him again.Tyler was quick enough to block me again but this time, I took advantage of my strength and pushed him back till he tripped and fell on his back. He was fast to get up again but I didn't let him regain his composure before I reached him and stabbed him with my sword. The sword fell off Tyler's hand and he fell to the ground, groaning in pain. I pulled the sword from him and heaved a sigh of relief. “You chose the wrong side brother. Maybe if you had decided not to help Arnold, maybe you would have loved enough to see another day.” I said with an evil smile on my face“Sadly, this is the end of the road for you.” I
Arnold's POVWe all halted when a figure slowly emerged from one of the buildings. Standing in front of us all was Tristan. He stood still and was just staring at us in silence. “So, you have finally come to die, Arnold?” Tristan said menacingly. I stared at him, with great urge to just tear him to tiny pieces and feed the parts to wild animals. Tristan's facial expression suddenly changed. He seemed to notice something odd amongst us. “Wayne? What is going on here? You should be in the Blue moon pack.” He said feebly. I finally understood why he suddenly felt perplexed. “I could not keep up with the pace of your cruelty, my lord. You left me no choice.” Wayne replied nonchalantly. “So you decided to betray my trust and side with my enemies. After you served me for so long? I knew your sudden appearance here meant something but I was just too ignorant to accept it.” Tristan said and sighed.Wayne didn't know what to say anymore. He turned to me and shrugged his shoulders. “Trista
Arnold's POVThe soldier left immediately and soon returned with the Alpha of the Blue moon pack. A woman who seemed to be his Luna was with him. He reached us and stopped. “You are the Lycan king…” He said, with his voice vividly shaking in fear. Seeing how scared he was, I was confident he wouldn't refuse to hand the boy over. “Yes, I am. I'm here for my son, Amon. Someone left him here with you, and I want you to hand him over to us immediately.” I commanded. The Alpha was quiet for a while and only stared at me. “You want him? I guess you're going to fight us if we refuse to do that, right? And seeing how few your men are, I'll say you're incapable of winning this fight.” He said menacingly. Stan unsheathed his sword immediately and aimed at his neck. A few of the pack's soldiers also did the same, and we all stood there in silence, waiting for the next person to take the decisive step. “Tell your men to lay down their weapons. You are greater in numbers, but that will absolu
Arnold's POVI walked into the living room and took my seat. “So, how is the preparation going? Are we almost Ready to Match up now?” I asked eagerly. “Oh, we are not ready. We are so not ready.” Wayne said angrily. Tyler winked at him to stop acting up, which he reluctantly obliged to. “I assume he already told you that you'll lead us there. Well, no one else can.” I said to Wayne. Wayne smiled at me faintly and stood up to leave. “I will be in my room, preparing for the journey. When you're all ready to leave, I will join you.” He said and left. I turned to Tyler. “Is there anything left to do here? We should set out soon if there's none. The sooner, the better for us.” I said. “There Should be just a few preparations left before we set out. Oscar, are our men ready?” Tyler asked his Beta. “Yes, my lord, They are all ready. But we did have another few down counts, as more of Alpha Arnold's men were also infected. We have just about fifty percent left of their initial numbers.”
Tyler's POVMy jaw dropped in shock, but I quickly composed myself. I Turned to Havana to see her staring at me intensely. “Well, I missed you too, but just couldn't say it.” I thought to myself. Havana drew closer to me slowly, before planting a kiss on my lips. She slowly pulled away from me and stared into my eyes. “I missed you too, Havana.” I said and pulled her closer again. We kissed hungrily as she held me firmly. After a short while, we pulled away from each other to catch our breath. I stood up and held Havana. “We Should head to my room, someone might walk in here at any moment.” I said and started walking away. Havana obliged and walked came with me. We both headed for my quarters immediately. After avoiding the maids and guards around as much as we could, we finally reached my room. I shut the door and heaved a sigh of relief. Turning around, I was spooked when Havana suddenly pulled me closer and kissed me hungrily. She rubbed my chest as our lips parted, “Take of
Arnold's POVI walked back into the room after shutting the door. “I am so famished, it feels like I haven't eaten in months!” I exclaimed and sat down. I soon started eating, and it tasted way better than I expected. After a while, I finished eating and went out to see Tyler. “He Should be somewhere in the Living room or something, your majesty.” The maid I asked Tyler's room for replied. I thanked her and headed to the living room. As she said, Tyler was indeed in the living room, sitting alone. He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice I had come in until I cleared my throat. Tyler looked up and saw me. “Your Majesty, it is quite late already. You should be resting as the journey might have taken a toll on your body.” He blurted out.“You should not be worried about that. What lies further ahead is way more important than mere sleep. As Wayne said, your brother would do anything possible to win this battle.” I said. As soon as I mentioned his brother again, Tyler stopped
*Arnold's POV* Still lost and void of a way out of the situation we were currently in, Things were seemingly going bad. “What I am saying is that, there is absolutely no way I would join this fight if there are not enough men. We should be twice their numbers to be able to have a chance at winning this battle!” Wayne stated. Even though he was right, I just didn't want to accept that he is. There was nothing we could think of now that the battle is at hand. “There's nothing we can do anymore now. Overanalyzing the situation would not result in any solution.” I stated. Wayne stared at me furiously, but he could not just exert his anger fearing getting slayed by Stan. “We have to think of something, Your Majesty. If we go ahead and attack Alpha Tristan without proper preparation, there will be no way out of this.” He said. “I hate to say this, but he's right, Your majesty. My brother would definitely be prepared for whatever way the battle Is coming. Attacking or defending his l
Tristan's POVI reached the Rogue village again. Karl was in the living room when I walked in. “You are back. Did you, by any chance, leave with your Beta? He seemed to have disappeared after you left.” Karl asked. “Wayne? He was in here when I left. Did he leave without your knowledge or something?” I asked. Karl shook his head. “I am certain that he didn't leave yet. The guards at the gate said they didn't see him leave. My thoughts were that he left with you.” He said. I was beginning to get confused. Wayne was in the living room when I left, and he was surely going to leave after I did. “Maybe he left without anyone see him do that. I already asked him to go back to the Blue moon pack. And I don't think there's something to be worried about.” I said. Karl sighed. “I don't understand why, but I just felt it was suspicious. He suddenly came here without being asked for and also left in the same way he came.” He said. I was still so confused, too. “Wait, did he by any Cha
