**Tristan's POV***
The moment I walked out of her room, I heaved a long, deep sigh of relief. Who would have thought that this would be nerve-racking. From the look of things, she indeed lost her memories. Now, I don't know whether this was a good opportunity or not. But either way, it was too much of a stress for me.Just as I headed toward my office, Wayne bracketed me on the way.“Alpha, how did it go? Is she awake? Did you find out whether she's pretending or not?”“Let's head to my office,” I stated, taking the lead to my office. Though I know no one on the pack would dare to spread rumors, still, it's better to be safe.Getting to my office, I began to pace. Thinking about the next step to take.“Alpha, what's the situation like?”I took my gaze towards Wayne. She doesn't remember anything for sure, but that's not the case right now.“Huh?”“I don't know how long I can continue to pretend to be nice**Arnold's POV***I had woken up and fallen into an unconscious state countless times. I can't even tell what's going on anymore, or why I keep falling into an unconscious state. “Hey, wake up!” The sound of a voice echoed in my ears. At first, it felt distant. Just then, I felt a sharp pain in my head and that immediately sobered me up.“Ah he's finally awake,” a man standing in front of me said. I looked at him intently, but there was no familiarity at all. Who was he?“Alpha Tom, you've really done an impressive job that I must commend you for,” another voice said. This time it was deeper than the voice of the man standing in front of me. I slowly tilted my head to the side to see who it was, and to my greatest shock, it was Alpha Tristan. When our eyes met, he suddenly approached me. “It's so nice to see you here, Your Majesty,” Tristan said with a sarcastic bow. This made me bite my bottom lips in anger. “I know you
**Arnold's POV***I shut my eyes and kept trying to break the chains I was tied with, but that rather seemed to be impossible. All the time I had been unconscious, they had used that as an opportunity to weaken me. From the look of things, the silver chains aren't the only thing weakening me. It seemed as though there was something more than the chains. Just then, I began to perceive something forbidden when I tried to get closer to my other hand to be able to break the chains and that was when I perceived the terrible smell of Wolfsbane. Shit! Now, this is the reason I was weak. How dare they treat their king in this way? Just then my mind flashed over to Elizabeth. I still don't get what Tristan had said to me. Was it true that Elizabeth was his mate? Could it be that the memories Elizabeth couldn't remember has to do with Tristan? Hold on, if truly Elizabeth is his mate, then who am I to Elizabeth? She's also my mate. What's going on?
**Tristan's POV***Fuck it! It's Arnold again. At this point, I doubt that I can bear this. There's not a time I get to see her that she doesn't talk about the stupid Lycan king. What did I expect from her? Here I thought that losing her memories will make her different, but even in this state, she still doesn't hesitate to make me mad. “Alpha Tristan, are you okay?”She asked while staring at me with a curious expression. I gritted my teeth and folded a fist to beat down my rising anger. She still has no idea what I'm capable of. Especially nod that she's lost her memories. “Elizabeth, do you think I haven't done enough for you?”“Huh? What are you talking about?”“Why do you make it look like I'm not doing enough?” I said I'm in a low tone, even though what I felt like doing at that moment was shout out the words. “I still don't get you, Alpha Tristan. Please clarify it.”Fuck! She might as well want to st
**Freya's POV***For two days now. I've been indoors in my room. I don't find the pack comfortable anymore. With what Tristan did a while ago, I've been trying my hardest to get my memories back, but that has rather proven to be too difficult. Now I don't even know where to start. Why did he get mad that way? Before now. I had been feeling at ease with him, even though I didn't feel that way when we first met. But after his reaction when I showed just how worried I was over Arnold. I saw a part of him which I had long forgotten. Just what exactly was his true identity? The one I feared or the one who showed me kindness? I was so lost in my thoughts that I did not hear when someone knocked on the door. I only realized I was lost in thoughts when the door flew open, and I jolted. I quickly took my gaze towards the door only to see the maid who always brought me food. “Miss Elizabeth, are you okay? I mean, judging by how shocked you were
***Freya's POV***When he said the last words, I felt like I had just won a jackpot. The goddess must be on my side.”“A business trip for a week?” I asked, giving him a confused look. If I need to succeed in what I plan to do, then I must learn to pretend in front of him.”“Why do you look so sad? Could it be that you wanted me around?” He said the words with a smile on his face. I can't deny the fact that he was damn handsome, with his short dark hair and piercing blue eyes. But then, there's always this weary feeling I have whenever he comes near. This was one reason I was scared to get close to him. I mean. What if it happened that he was indeed my mate. If I was having this feeling about him rather than a romantic feeling, doesn't this mean, we were not on good terms? I wish I could get my memories, so I'll be able to tell if I was actually safe or probably dining with my enemy. “Hmm?” He muttered the question and th
**Freya's POV***I froze when this question was asked because I wasn't expecting them to ask me such a question. “What do you think is the reason I'm here? Of course, I'm here to look around. This is my first time coming this way. Don't you think I should explore the pack?”“You have every right to, Your Highness,” another answered.“Good! Now lead the way,” I said, and quickly, one of the men took the lead. As soon as they got into the dungeon, I noticed everywhere was peach black. This made me pause on my tracks. My heart began beating heavily. What's going on? Why's this place so dark?“Your Highness, do you think you can continue or would you like to go back?”I took a quick glance at the guard, giving me an option. Due to how dark the dungeon was, this gave me a scare. But then, if I truly wanted to know about my past, then I have to take this step. No matter how dark or difficult it might be. “Lead the way,” I st
**Tyler's POV***I've been locked in the dark dungeon for years now. At first, when I was thrown in, I had never thought that I would be staying here for years. At some point, I begged to be killed, as I preferred to die rather than go through the humiliation I was going through. I preferred death, but I know more than anyone that it's not the way Tristan does his things. He never kills his victims easily. He makes them suffer to their death. I had no idea that my brother would be this ruthless. All I did was safe Freya from him, and he found fault with what I did and decided to lock me up. So many times I had tried to escape it, but none of my attempts yielded results. At the end of the day, I was caught and locked up again. Other cells had one lock, mine had three. And this was because of my attempt to escape. The Elders had pleaded for my sake, but Tristan had threatened to lock them up in the dark dungeon, just like he did to me. For this reason, they stopped pleading for me.
**Freya's POV***“Listen Freya, this is the last place you should ever be. No matter what, this is a wrong place for you to be. This is plaice is your nightmare, how could you come back here of all places!” From the way he spoke, I could tell that he indeed knows me. So I was right after all. My instinct was right when I thought that I must have a link to this Pack. “I'm not here because I wanted to. Like I said, I'm mated to the Lycan king.”“Mated to the Lycan king? How's that possible?”“I don't know.”“Wait a minute, if you are mated to the king, how did you get here?”“The king had gone missing, and Alpha Tristan came to my rescue.”“What? Are you telling me that you were actually saved by Tristan?”“That's precisely what I'm trying to say.”He suddenly shook his head. “No! Freya, I don't know what he told you or how he managed to pretend to have come to your rescue, but you must leave here as soon as possible.”“Leave here? Where?”“Leave the dungeon, go away from the pack ho
Arnold's POVI went into the building to start searching for Elizabeth. There were few rogue soldiers around, but I easily slayed them. My mind was all focused on finding my mate first. A few minutes into walking in, I spotted Alan in one of the rooms. “Alpha Arnold…” He mumbled as soon as he saw me. I barely have time to fight anyone right now. I'll deal with him after I find her for sure. Surprisingly, Alan wasn't pleased with the fact that I'm walking away from him. “You cannot leave without a fight. I don't think I'll be able to walk out of this anymore. Let's settle this, you either kill me and go on with your journey or I do so and claim my place as the next Lycan King!" He blurted out. I was so confused but at the same time, it explained why he was siding with Tristan in the first place. “So you decided to side with my enemy just so you could become the next Lycan king. That has to be the dumbest decision you've made.” I said and shook my head in disgust. “Call me stupid o
Tristan's POVI attacked Tyler m, attempting to slay him and he quickly blocked my attack skillfully. He blocked my sword and cut my hand, giving it a small scar. “You gave me a scar. I must say you have honed your sword fighting skills since we last had a duel. But you're forgetting something important, I taught you how to use the sword.” I said and attacked him again.Tyler was quick enough to block me again but this time, I took advantage of my strength and pushed him back till he tripped and fell on his back. He was fast to get up again but I didn't let him regain his composure before I reached him and stabbed him with my sword. The sword fell off Tyler's hand and he fell to the ground, groaning in pain. I pulled the sword from him and heaved a sigh of relief. “You chose the wrong side brother. Maybe if you had decided not to help Arnold, maybe you would have loved enough to see another day.” I said with an evil smile on my face“Sadly, this is the end of the road for you.” I
Arnold's POVWe all halted when a figure slowly emerged from one of the buildings. Standing in front of us all was Tristan. He stood still and was just staring at us in silence. “So, you have finally come to die, Arnold?” Tristan said menacingly. I stared at him, with great urge to just tear him to tiny pieces and feed the parts to wild animals. Tristan's facial expression suddenly changed. He seemed to notice something odd amongst us. “Wayne? What is going on here? You should be in the Blue moon pack.” He said feebly. I finally understood why he suddenly felt perplexed. “I could not keep up with the pace of your cruelty, my lord. You left me no choice.” Wayne replied nonchalantly. “So you decided to betray my trust and side with my enemies. After you served me for so long? I knew your sudden appearance here meant something but I was just too ignorant to accept it.” Tristan said and sighed.Wayne didn't know what to say anymore. He turned to me and shrugged his shoulders. “Trista
Arnold's POVThe soldier left immediately and soon returned with the Alpha of the Blue moon pack. A woman who seemed to be his Luna was with him. He reached us and stopped. “You are the Lycan king…” He said, with his voice vividly shaking in fear. Seeing how scared he was, I was confident he wouldn't refuse to hand the boy over. “Yes, I am. I'm here for my son, Amon. Someone left him here with you, and I want you to hand him over to us immediately.” I commanded. The Alpha was quiet for a while and only stared at me. “You want him? I guess you're going to fight us if we refuse to do that, right? And seeing how few your men are, I'll say you're incapable of winning this fight.” He said menacingly. Stan unsheathed his sword immediately and aimed at his neck. A few of the pack's soldiers also did the same, and we all stood there in silence, waiting for the next person to take the decisive step. “Tell your men to lay down their weapons. You are greater in numbers, but that will absolu
Arnold's POVI walked into the living room and took my seat. “So, how is the preparation going? Are we almost Ready to Match up now?” I asked eagerly. “Oh, we are not ready. We are so not ready.” Wayne said angrily. Tyler winked at him to stop acting up, which he reluctantly obliged to. “I assume he already told you that you'll lead us there. Well, no one else can.” I said to Wayne. Wayne smiled at me faintly and stood up to leave. “I will be in my room, preparing for the journey. When you're all ready to leave, I will join you.” He said and left. I turned to Tyler. “Is there anything left to do here? We should set out soon if there's none. The sooner, the better for us.” I said. “There Should be just a few preparations left before we set out. Oscar, are our men ready?” Tyler asked his Beta. “Yes, my lord, They are all ready. But we did have another few down counts, as more of Alpha Arnold's men were also infected. We have just about fifty percent left of their initial numbers.”
Tyler's POVMy jaw dropped in shock, but I quickly composed myself. I Turned to Havana to see her staring at me intensely. “Well, I missed you too, but just couldn't say it.” I thought to myself. Havana drew closer to me slowly, before planting a kiss on my lips. She slowly pulled away from me and stared into my eyes. “I missed you too, Havana.” I said and pulled her closer again. We kissed hungrily as she held me firmly. After a short while, we pulled away from each other to catch our breath. I stood up and held Havana. “We Should head to my room, someone might walk in here at any moment.” I said and started walking away. Havana obliged and walked came with me. We both headed for my quarters immediately. After avoiding the maids and guards around as much as we could, we finally reached my room. I shut the door and heaved a sigh of relief. Turning around, I was spooked when Havana suddenly pulled me closer and kissed me hungrily. She rubbed my chest as our lips parted, “Take of
Arnold's POVI walked back into the room after shutting the door. “I am so famished, it feels like I haven't eaten in months!” I exclaimed and sat down. I soon started eating, and it tasted way better than I expected. After a while, I finished eating and went out to see Tyler. “He Should be somewhere in the Living room or something, your majesty.” The maid I asked Tyler's room for replied. I thanked her and headed to the living room. As she said, Tyler was indeed in the living room, sitting alone. He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice I had come in until I cleared my throat. Tyler looked up and saw me. “Your Majesty, it is quite late already. You should be resting as the journey might have taken a toll on your body.” He blurted out.“You should not be worried about that. What lies further ahead is way more important than mere sleep. As Wayne said, your brother would do anything possible to win this battle.” I said. As soon as I mentioned his brother again, Tyler stopped
*Arnold's POV* Still lost and void of a way out of the situation we were currently in, Things were seemingly going bad. “What I am saying is that, there is absolutely no way I would join this fight if there are not enough men. We should be twice their numbers to be able to have a chance at winning this battle!” Wayne stated. Even though he was right, I just didn't want to accept that he is. There was nothing we could think of now that the battle is at hand. “There's nothing we can do anymore now. Overanalyzing the situation would not result in any solution.” I stated. Wayne stared at me furiously, but he could not just exert his anger fearing getting slayed by Stan. “We have to think of something, Your Majesty. If we go ahead and attack Alpha Tristan without proper preparation, there will be no way out of this.” He said. “I hate to say this, but he's right, Your majesty. My brother would definitely be prepared for whatever way the battle Is coming. Attacking or defending his l
Tristan's POVI reached the Rogue village again. Karl was in the living room when I walked in. “You are back. Did you, by any chance, leave with your Beta? He seemed to have disappeared after you left.” Karl asked. “Wayne? He was in here when I left. Did he leave without your knowledge or something?” I asked. Karl shook his head. “I am certain that he didn't leave yet. The guards at the gate said they didn't see him leave. My thoughts were that he left with you.” He said. I was beginning to get confused. Wayne was in the living room when I left, and he was surely going to leave after I did. “Maybe he left without anyone see him do that. I already asked him to go back to the Blue moon pack. And I don't think there's something to be worried about.” I said. Karl sighed. “I don't understand why, but I just felt it was suspicious. He suddenly came here without being asked for and also left in the same way he came.” He said. I was still so confused, too. “Wait, did he by any Cha
