Chapter Sixty One

MARCUS POV

The pass over of the Alpha duties was taking longer than I wanted, and it was getting boring.

These were the kind of things Killian specialized on and loved. I loved taking care of official duties and paperworks, making sure everything is recorded and according to protocol.

He must read through everything and I was just not like that. I rather have our secretary do those things. He was trustworthy enough and if he dares to betray me, he knows I'll just rip his heart out so he wouldn't dare think of it.

I was in the meeting but I and Darius were in hiding, listening in the conversation behind some shelves, we were completely drenched in pepper water so our scent wouldn't be picked up.

"Darius, I'm getting out of here." I told him then adjusted the mask on my face, "This meeting is too boring and draining the life out of me." I complained then walked out.

Everyone was shocked to see me.

"Who are you and why are you coming out of there?" One of the questioned.
