Rouf was meditating in the dungeon when he was told that some men were outside waiting for him. The fighters guarding the gates respect Rouf after the king, hence they were not harsh on him.

The two rogues from Blackstone were given access to enter and on getting inside, they narrated the situation to him. He looked extremely happy to hear of Morpheus's plan.
