Alphas With No Mates!

Alpha Aiden’s POV

I woke up this morning with an alluring scent of the forest which draw me out of the room.

My ears picked faint steps out on the porch but before I made my way out, she has slipped into the bathroom in a rush.

I was so annoyed to see her first thing in the morning. What's she up to by coming to Morpheus house just when we were there?!

Her mere presence makes me angry.

On getting back to my quarters,I groaned when I caught the sleeping girl on my bed. Oh, she's still here?

“My dear Alpha, you are back” Jennifer said as she yanks the duvet from her half naked body.

Her grip on me is too tight and uncomfortable because I didn't receive her fully.

“Where have you been all night?” she asked.

She reeks of alcohol.

“You need to leave now Jennifer” I said to her as I push her off my body.

I see her lips part to say something in a protest but I didn't leave room for that. Everyone has their limit in accessing me and that includes her.

She is not even my taste but I have to keep her because of my promise to Morpheus.

The only man that stayed with us through hard times.

He watched and guarded us when we were young, he looked out for us and we defeated many wars together.

If only she knows the pain and suffering that surfaced right after father died. The pack were unsure to stay after losing their Alpha and Luna.

It was just Morpheus that stayed with us and believed in our abilities.

He came to the pack 2 years ago with Jenifer being a distant cousin of his and he would for me to give her a try. He didn't make his wish known but I'm sure he wants this walking seductress to be a Luna.

Jennifer later called in her friend Vickie and they sworn the oath to join the pack ever since then. So even though I don't love her, I must keep her.

We've promised to reject our mates anytime they show up, same with Arnold and Vickie.

If that traitor’s daughter thinks she can just appear trying to act all pitiful here with pretense then she has made the biggest mistake in her life.

Seeing her this morning fueled my anger and frustration. I will make sure to give her a slow death.

A loud bang from the door snapped me back to reality and I realized Jenifer must have left when I space out for a while.

I was about to sink into the couch for a little rest before going to the office when a knock came on the door.

With the ragged breathing and smell of after shave, I could tell that Morpheus is right outside.

“Come in Morpheus” I said.

The door came open and I see his huge frame appear from the door. I must praise him for keeping in shape despite his age.

His shaved hair makes him look younger the more and if not that he's now part of the elders, I would have convinced him to be the pack General.

“Good morning Alpha Aiden” he said with a satisfied smile on his face.

“Morning Morpheus” I answered back now aiming for the comfortable seat I planned earlier.

“I will go straight to the point” he said with his brows raised upward.

He does that a lot when he's got complaint making it easy for me to read him.

“I saw Jenifer crying on my way here, I apologise for her rash behaviour to come spend the night against your wish. She's just worried as the full moon is near” he said.

Of course, it has totally escape my mind that the Full Moon is in a few days. We hold feast every year for that so there can be celebrations after my werewolves finds their respective mates.

It's a thing that baffles me that both I and Aiden haven't found our mate till now.

“I understand Morpheus but that should not be your concern right now” I said to him.

“What about that dirty blood that you brought into my Pack without prior notice?” I asked with disdain.

His eyes darted from mine as he let out a long exhale, followed by a smile.

“My mate said she insisted coming back to atone for her parent’s sin and I thought it would be fun to have her here. The hell she came back to willingly “ Morpheus whispered with a smirk.

His reply soothes my soul and my resentment suddenly became justified once more.

“You are right” I said to him.

He then presented some papers on the table in front of me, only then did I notice he had come in with some files.

“Why can't it wait till Arnold and I resumes to the office?” I asked.

“Uh... I think it's better if you look at it first, you are the older one here” he said.

It feels strange and different but I proceeded anyway since I will brief Arnold later on. We've always done things together.

After checking the papers, I signed where necessary and asked him to leave so I can get some but then my heart skipped some beats. I hear noises outside and I mindlink one of my guards to come report the matter to me.

“The traitor’s daughter got into trouble Alpha” he said.

“Did I wake up to the wrong side of the bed? Why must I see her face twice today?!” I groaned as I slip on a shirt following Morpheus out.

On getting to the scene, I can see flours, eggs and rotten tomatoes all over her face and body.

I didn't miss Jenifer who stepped back the moment I arrived too.

How much the people despises her but they wouldn't have hurt her physically without someone taking the blame. They knew she's ours to kill and not any of them.

She remain glued to the floor sobbing and shivering. I notice bruises on her body too.

I crouch in front of her and lift her face up to meet mine.

“Do anything but don't kill her” I declared without breaking eye contact with her.

She needs to know how much she's not welcomed her.

It pleases and excite me to see her face pale with disappointment. To see her expectation ruined and sanity destroyed.

“What were you expecting traitor?” I said squeezing her jaw in my strong fist.

She whimpers” I... I am not a traitor” she sobbed quietly.

“A traitor’s daughter is also a traitor!” I said to her.

Jenifer came beside me to offer me an handkerchief as I wipe my hand.

“Hmm… and what do I have for you?” I said to her but as I turn around to take a seat, my wolf stir uneasily at the back of my mind.

“What are you up to Nil?” I said through the mindlink.

He must be getting worried for old time sake.
