Walter Lance

(OLIVE'S VISION FINAL PART)

Walter had his face shielded with a face mask and was also wearing a face cap. He was sitting on one of the benches in the reception hall and had his arms crossed. A few minutes later and the door by the right opened, revealing Lois in a sling.

“Hi,” she said with a smile as she walked out, accompanied by a nurse.

“Hey,” he said and got up.

“That hurt I guess. I kept hearing you wincing and all that,” he added then pointed to her arm. Lois furrowed her brows.

“You heard that? But they had rubbed a numbing cream on it so I didn't feel too much pain while wearing the sling. Plus, my winces were pretty low. How did you hear me from here or were you standing by the door?”

Walter smiled and scratched the back of his neck.

“I might have...eavesdropped a little. I wanted to make sure you were okay,” he answered and she flushed.

“Really? Thank you so much,” Lois said sweetly and hugged him, much to his surprise. She was acting so familiar with him when they had just met.

“Well, she's fine. She just needs to wear the sling for a couple of days. The damage was not much so she'll be fine quickly. We've also prescribed some drugs and balms for her to use, so make sure you get them at the hospital's pharmacy before you leave,” the nurse said sweetly.

“Thank you,” both Walter and Lois said at the same time.

Walter turned around and Lois deliberately touched her good arm against his, rubbing their hands together. Walter looked at her with a raised eyebrow and she turned pink then looked away. He laughed and put his arm out for her.

“Grab on,” he said, understanding that she wanted to maintain body contact. He didn't know why he allowed it. But he knew he felt comfortable with this fan of his. You know how one feels when he or she meets someone for the very first time and you just like the person's personality? Yeah, that was what Walter felt for this lady. Lois excitedly tucked her arm into his and they walked away. She gave him the prescription and he took her to the pharmacy, got the drugs and took her back to the car.

“Where are we going?” he asked.

“Errm...aren't you...like busy? Don't worry, I can get a taxi home. My things are here,” she said as she pointed to the car with her chin.

“I don't have anything doing. But if you want to send me away, fine,” he shrugged.

“What? Send you away? No...I'm sorry. Gosh, I could spend my whole life with you,” Lois blurted with a really sorry face. Walter stared at her for a few seconds then laughed. Gosh, he thought she was so cute.

“Let's go then. Give me your address,” he said and opened the door for her. She sat in and he walked to the other side.

“Walter, do you mind if I get a picture of us? Pretty please,” she begged and gave him a puppy face.

“How about an autograph too? And an linvitation to my sport's club?”

Lois's eyes popped open.

“Holy Jesus!” then she squealed loudly and almost hugged him in the car too, if not for her arm.

“Careful there, Lois Denver,” he chirped and she stilled.

“How do you know my name?”

“Your prescription?”

“Oh. Haha. Let's get going then,” she stated and gave him her address. He drove her home, helped her settle down and even made a little meal for her.

“How can one be so perfect? You even cook?” she mused with proud eyes.

“Don't flatter me anymore, Lois. I'm afraid I'd leave here with my head swollen and cheeks all flushed,” he joked and she laughed.

He left after taking numerous pictures with her, signing almost every merch of his in her house, talking with her family on a video call and emailing her the ticket to his VIP sport's club.

When he was finally on his way home, he was more than exhausted. But he felt fulfilled. In fact, he had never felt this at peace with anyone in his life.

He reached his home and parked right in front. When he got out, he saw someone standing by a parked car opposite him at the other side of his mansion. He pinned his lips together and frowned. His eyes flashed a different color—a glowing gold, before returning to its normal color.

“Been awhile I saw those hideous eyes of yours, Walter,” the man said and walked to him. Walter closed his eyes and exhaled, ignoring what he had said. He opened his eyes to see the man wearing a wicked smirk on his face.

“What is it, Leo?” he asked.

“Nothing. I was missing my step baby brother so I decided to drop by at your match earlier. I was hoping you'd lose of course, but there was this lady by my side who was rooting for you. I liked her so I had to support her. Somehow, my wish came through as well as hers. You didn't lose...but you didn't win,” Leo laughed wickedly.

“There's still another match. And I'll win,” Walter replied him coldly.

“You wish. Well, good bye. I decided to thank you for making me meet her. I might stop being single soon. Just because of you. Bye, halfie,” Leo turned around and walked back to his car.

Walter's heart constricted.

Halfie.

He hated that word. Even his father called him that.

He gulped down and watched his step brother drive away from his house's premises. He looked to the woods just in front of his secluded mansion. Then he took a sprint and ran as fast as he could. And when he got deep enough inside of it, he shifted into a magnificent brown wolf.

This was the only way to regain himself and get rid of his awful childhood memories of the mixed blooded werewolf amongst humans.

Olive's eyes fluttered open and she gasped as she sprang up on the bed. Wayne was just coming out of the bathroom and he ran to her.

“Olive, you're up. My God. I've missed you,” he said and hugged his female.

“Hey,” Olive cooed and hugged him back. She felt comforted in his arms.

“How are you? What did you see?”

“A...a lady. Lois Denver. And a guy... A celeb. Walter Lance. He's a...” she trailed off and her eyes widened.

“He's a what?” Wayne asked.

“A half human, half werewolf. A halfblood,” she stated.

“What?”

“I know. His family hates him for it. I don't know why I saw them, but I think Walter knows something,” Olive said firmly.

“We'll go see Mufasa later.”

“How long have I been out?”

“Three days. And you don't know how bored I've been with my life. The most boring three days of my life,” Wayne puffed air out and Olive laughed. This mate of hers.

But her mind wandered back to the human world. What was a half-blood werewolf doing hiding out there? How did he become one? And how did he manage to live his whole life that way, hated by his family?

Olive couldn't have guessed Leo was related to Walter Lance with the way he showed his hatred back at the stadium. He tried to hide it from Lois, but it was evident even in the way he stared at him playing. Olive could feel he really despised Walter Lance, and they surprisingly turned out to be half brothers.

Also, was Leo actually interested in Lois? The same Lois who was head over heels for Walter?

Walter already had a natural connection with her and if she dared turned out to be his mate, then Leo had no chance. No freaking chance.
