The Firewolf kept emitting waves and bursts of heat and flame, but the ice wouldn't melt. This was very conflicting. Because Olive's fire was said to be the only thing that could thaw Wayne's ice. And yet, that same ice was freezing the Firewolf over, the fire doused into nothing but steam in its wake.

The Firewolf was roaring with rage as the ice climbed all the way to her belly and was now making its way towards her neck.

“The Firewolf can't lose her fire,” Lutz panicked. He began to regret he had given them the no-holds-barred potion. He did that because he wanted them to fight without thinking they were going to hurt each other. He hadn't thought about the possibility of her flame being snuffed out.

“What would happen if he freezes her completely? It's only Olive that can thaw his ice, right? What if she's frozen up and can't help herself?” Dolly asked Mufasa.

“I believe it will not get to that point,“ Mufasa answered.

“It's almost getting to that point!“ Vanessa yelled out i

Olive's eyes slowly flapped open to see a sky so clear and bright, she thought she was on the other side of life. The last time she looked up, the sky had looked dangerously angry and looked lit up with hot coals. But this sky now was beautiful in its natural form. Birds sang afar off and she could see hawks hovering over her in the clear skies. Funny, hawks hovered in the sky that way when there was a fire somewhere below and the smoke was reaching up. Right? She breathed in and her chest hurt by that action. She tried to move her neck and her neck hurt too. She gulped and her throat hurt also. Why was she hurting all over? She gathered enough of her energy and pushed herself from the ground but couldn't sit upright. Something was pinning her to the ground. That thing was over her legs and her chest. Oh no! Was she shackled?‘Stop being dramatic. It's just me,’ Wayne's voice whispered into her mind like a caress. She blinked and looked over her body. His huge legs had her legs locke

“She's trying to kill me,” Wayne whispered to himself as he stared at the destruction, his eyes wide open. Afar off, Olive chuckled without looking back at him. She had crossed to the other side of the field, the supposed entrance. Right there, she shifted into her magnificent she-wolf, the grey beauty. ’Come on, let's move,’ she mind-linked him. Wayne exhaled and shifted into Fervour. He tore through the destroyed land and was soon running side by side with his mate. But they didn't race long. Jake had arrived with a new van. “Beautiful morning considering the shit you both caused last night, isn't it?” was his first greeting. He had on a not-so-friendly smile as he approached them with two white shopping bags. “What happened to your face?” Wayne asked through Fervour. Jake glared down on his Alpha wolf. “You should be thankful you're not noticing my blisters on a corpse. Go change let's go. The others are in far worse conditions.” Wayne gave an animal-like eye roll and sto

Alpha Knight wore his sunglasses and stepped down from the van as the chopper began to descend. He held out his arm to Olive as she too got down and approached him at his side of the van. She had already won her glasses from inside the van.“You okay!?” Wayne asked in a shout, against the noise of the chopper. Olive looked up at him and smiled. Her hair was whipping against her face and entering into her mouth. She hastily put her fingers to work by pulling and pushing them away.“I'm fine. You?!” she asked back. He nodded.“There's no way in hell I'm entering that thing!” Lutz shouted from the back. Olive rolled her eyes behind her sunglasses.“Oh please do not start with me! We entered a plane three months ago! Did we fall to the ground like you said?!” she nagged and turned around to glare at Lutz. Unfortunately, he couldn't see her eyes.“I apologize on his behalf, Flamera. He's...he's still very backward despite living in the modern world for a month,” Koushi apologized and bowed

Alpha Knight's face had turned so pale it was chalk white, and his usually red lips were blue now. “Damn it! I knew it,” Lutz grunted as he fell to his feet beside the Alpha's fallen body. He quickly checked for the BBA's pulse and sat on the floor behind his head immediately. “He's been completely drained. Changing the climate of an ancient place such as this is no joke. I sensed the place would fight back but thank God your mate is strong. It's not bad,” Lutz explained as he cradled the Alpha's head in his palms and began massaging out the creases in his forehead. “The Ethe Orbs, now!” Olive was still standing in shock and wasn't quick to react. Thankfully, Koushi was already bending towards the dropped bags. He zipped open the one containing the Ethe Orbs and grabbed a jar. The old milk bottles were also in it. Koushi grabbed both, opened them with as much speed and precision he used to wield his twin swords sheathed at his back and mixed the solution. Before Olive could even

Olive shifted in her bedroll and sighed softly as she felt a familiar weight towering over her form.“Aren't you supposed to be keeping watch?” she asked in her sleepy voice as Wayne's form lay on her, supporting himself up with his elbows.“Not when you're lying down here like a goddess by a poolside,” he whispered and kissed her nape. She chuckled and opened her eyes.“I'm a goddess by a fireside,” she replied and placed her arms over his shoulders.“Same difference, my hot goddess of fire,” he crooned into her neck and kissed her warmly. Olive giggled and tried to push him off.“Go back to your watch. I'll take over from you in an hour so you can rest too. Then Lutz would take over.”“Nothing's going to happen in these mountains. It's safe. Besides, I think I can use a minute feeling my mate again. I just went through an ordeal that makes me want to feel the real you,” Wayne explained. “Come on, you fainted just a few hours. Not like you died.”Wayne smiled, the fire glinting in h

“How in the world are we going to cross this?” Koushi questioned calmly, looking across the sea of sand. “Hopefully, these are regular vipers,” Wayne commented as he furrowed his brows while peering across the sand. A certain viper hissed loudly and seemed to strike at something from one point of the sand into another. It disappeared inside within seconds and both the spot it left and the one it entered looked like nothing had troubled them at all.“That speed. I doubt they're regular vipers,” Olive responded.“Why do you want to know if they're regular or not?” Lutz inquired.“Because my wolves are immune to poison,” Wayne answered.“Beautiful, I suppose that's why you're on this journey with us. To show the dragon you are immune to poison.”Everyone but Wayne shot Lutz a deathly look. The Alpha just smirked wolfishly and scoffed, his arms folded against his chest as he sighted a viper slithering across to mountain of sand.“Do you think I'd have poison in me if I was poisoned in my

  • Mated To The Big Bad Alpha   The Enemy's Camp

The camp was empty safe for a massive building that was like a stone tower. There was a huge field surrounding it, cleared clean of trees, shrubs and plants. Calor could smell it.“Damn, it that's foul!” Olive sneered and gagged. “The Unbidden Army. They smell dead,” Astra explained. “But where are they?” Wayne asked, looking at the camp through Astra's vision too.“Underground, in that building. Laying low,” she replied. A few men with thick leather hoods were stationed outside, and there was an occasional movement of other people to and from the tower. A few tents were pitched on the field and they contained a few people.“How can we attack and besiege this place? It doesn't look impossible but...I kinda feel like there's more to this place than any we see,” Olive noted.“You shouldn't even be seeing this place in the first place,” Calor communicated. “Why?”“Because it's warded. Heavily warded to be simply invisible. No one should see or access it. But we can. And by that, I me

The van parked in front of the castle and they alighted. The fresh air hit their faces and Olive took in a deep breath. She was home. Oh, she missed home so much. She couldn't wait to see the guys. Alpha Knight came around her and sneaked his arm around her waist.“How does it feel?” she asked, looking up into his face as he gazed at his magnificent castle. The sun was setting already and the glow illuminated the building.“Feels like peace,” he answered and looked down at her.“I thought you felt at peace wherever I was?” Wayne chuckled.“I feel at home wherever you are. But I feel at peace when you're home with me.”Olive rolled her eyes.“You're just good with words,” she muttered and he laughed. “Are we heading in or gazing at the castle like it's a new building?” Jake asked as he made his way towards the entrance. Olive chuckled and followed after Jake, with Wayne right beside her. Her Guard followed behind them and they entered the castle together. Guards nodded pleasantly at

“You know where we're to go?” Olive asked, even though she learned back at Senshi Temple that the dragon always knew where his rider was headed. “Crystal clear,” Calor answered. They had been flying for two hours straight and each one of them was tired already. Olive's back personally felt like it could break into two any moment now from all that stuff, straight back riding. She needed to lie down for a full day before she could regain herself. “How far are we now?” she asked. “How about you just talk to me through the bond instead of shouting over the noise of the wind?” Olive furrowed her brows. “I can do that?” “Of course you can. What do they teach you at Senshi Temple now?” “Let's try it then.” “It'll be just like talking to your mate. Come one.” Olive chuckled and searched for the newest bond addition within her. She did know that she could talk with her dragon, she just didn't think it would snap into place the very second she met him. ’It's been hours since we met.

  • Mated To The Big Bad Alpha   He's Saved

Olive shifted a little way off, so all the fire could be for her Wayne alone. She felt hot tears stinging her eyes and she let them fall. Wayne had to make it. Her Wayne had to come back to her.The Ignis Fatuus had no heat at all, so she wasn't afraid of him being burnt because of the way he was engulfed. “He'll be fine now, Flamera,” Lutz whispered to her. Her Guard had come to stand firmly behind her to show their support. A few minutes after Calor began administering his Ignis Fatuus, he stopped. Wayne was revealed there on the black soot ground. He was motionless. And would have looked lifeless if not for the gentle thudding of his heart and the colour of his face. He looked peaceful, whole, alive. Olive gently walked to him and knelt. She cradled his face in her palms and felt his skin. She broke into happy tears. He was safe. She could feel it deep within herself that he was safe. And best of all, their bond tumbled back into place. It felt so peaceful to feel her mate again

  • Mated To The Big Bad Alpha   Two Dragons!

Alpha Knight had a dragon? No way. No freaking way. How could that be?“Impossible,” Lutz exclaimed, his face as pale as his hair.“This is a joke, right?” Olive asked, looking from her dragon to the new dragon.“I know we just met, but you should already know I'm not the type to joke around,” her dragon groaned and huffed. “But how is this possible? Never...and I repeat, never has this been heard of. Only the Firewolf of a generation is gifted a dragon. One dragon per Firewolf of a generation!” Lutz argued, his tone filled with disbelief and shock. This was simply not possible. He had studied the books for years. He was the most learned historian. He did not know this. This was simply unheard of.“No Firewolf is like her,” the male dragon brought down his voice to say. Olive felt him look at her with adoration and pride. She jerked her head to look at him immediately. He adored her? Since when?“I saw what you did. We both did,” he stated. “What did I do?” Olive questioned.“For th

  • Mated To The Big Bad Alpha   The Magnificent Dragon

The dragon had not lifted its mouth to speak but Olive heard it clearly in her head. It was like she was thinking in a different, deep and animalistic voice. ‘I can hear your thoughts. That cocky mate of yours never thought you how to put up your mind shield?’ he spoke again, his irritation clear in his voice. Olive stood dazed just staring at the magnificent creature. It was so huge, like a building and yet so alive. It raised its left front limb and shifted it on the ground. Black dust rose up and covered her from the mere casual action. She broke into a fit of coughs that were inaudible.‘Fragile. Humph,’ it said. ‘Stop referring to me as it! I'm a male dragon.’He shifted his whole body when he said that, made some guttural sounds and flapped his wings. More dust this time accompanied by wind had Olive almost falling to the floor. She felt an emotion rush at her. Of facepalming. Or eye rolling. Or mock gagging. She looked up. Was her dragon already tired of her in just a few s

He looked her over frantically, his arms firmly pressed unto her shoulders.“You almost didn't breathe for real. I almost lost you. What if I hadn't heard? What if I was even a minute late?” he panicked. Olive smiled.“Thank you for saving us,” she said and hugged him. He kissed her ear and rubbed her gently on the back.“If I don't rush to your rescue, then I don't exist,” he muttered and her ear again. Then they unlocked. He took her arm and grimaced at the sight of her open palm. It was a bloody gash that wasn't healing.“It's not healing and it hurts ten times
