“What were you doing before I came in?” Wayne asked as he kissed Olive's neck gently in the kitchen. He decided to not think about how to tell her about the reason for the meeting yet. At least, until after dinner.“Oh, I was feeling hungry. You know I skipped lunch. So I was just going to make myself a thick smoothie,” she answered and he released her.“A thick smoothie,” he repeated and she chuckled then nodded.“See, I already cut the fruits. I was going to blend them when you arrived. You have a smoothie blender here. I was so thrilled when I saw it,” she pointed towards the kitchen counter where she had arranged her fruits in a ceramic bowl. The milk was sitting in a glass cup already and so was the small smoothie blender from his Aunt.“And how do you intend to make a thick smoothie?” he questioned as she took his hand to lead him to the counter.“By using more fruits and less milk. It will be quite thick and more satisfying. Come on, let's c
Cynthia gasped as she stared at the garment in The Baron's hand. He was stretching it out to her but she was too shocked to move her arms and receive it.So he could heal her face? She could be rewarded greatly just for killing someone she always wished to detach from the face of the earth? This was a win win for her.“Thank you. Thank you so much. I promise that I would bring you the head of Olive Roger and listen to whatever you order me to do,” she said while bowing to the ground again.“Tsk, promises. They're so hard to keep but easy to make. I'm fortunate that you happen to be making me a vow. No one makes me a vow and breaks it,” The Baron drawled, causing more and more goosebumps to rise on Cynthia's skin. She gulped nervously and almost flinched when she felt his hand on her shoulder. He was wearing thick leather gloves but she could feel the cold emanating from his fingers unto her arm, despite the fact she was wearing a hoodie. What was this hooded creature? He wasn't a were
Olive staggered back as she felt a heavy wave of despair hit her from all sides. Wayne's eyelids flung up and he sped to her to grab her.“Baby,” he called and hugged her to his chest securely.“Wayne,” she replied and broke down crying.“No, wait. Stop that. Stop. You know what crying does to you, babe. Stop,” Wayne ordered but she grabbed hard onto his arms and cried. This was her fear and it had come to pass. She wasn't going to be Luna. She wasn't going to stay by Wayne's side. How could Gia win so easily like this?Wayne's brows thickened and he pushed her away from him, grabbing her arms and glaring at her.“Don't you dare!” he yelled at her that she flinched and whimpered.“Are you out of your senses, Olive? Are you fucking out of your mind?!” he scolded so loud that she burst into tears again.“Stop this. Stop being so vulnerable like this,” he pleaded in an agitated tone. Olive jerked her arms off from him and ran towards the bathroom to go hide there and cry. But Wayne was s
Wayne chuckled as he heard her cuss him. He had one hell of a mate, didn't he?He reached the bedside and palmed his face. He was tired and it had nothing to do with stress at all. But the news and how Olive reacted to it was what was making his system dull. He had also just roused his wolves with the prospect of finally marking their mate and now tension was very high within him. Another fact, those two were still very angry. He was a mess as he sat.“Well, it's all good. We'll deal with this,” he assured himself.Few minutes later and his mate was out of the bathroom. She was towelling her body dry and glancing at him with daggers in her eyes.“I'm hungry,” he said to her.“So what?” was her reply. He smiled and rubbed his chin.“So we should get going now. The housekeepers would be waiting. We are already late,” he stated and she huffed and entered the dressing room to wear something quickly. She didn't have plans to shower but then, she had cried so she needed that. She was feelin
She felt like it was just a few minutes sleep, but when she woke up, it was an hour later and she was in a warm smaller bed in a smaller room. She sat up and rubbed her eyelids. The room was darkly lit and the curtains were down.“Wayne,” she called as she stepped down from the bed. She could inhale his scent vividly in the room so she knew he was around. She walked to the door of the room and turned the doorknob. It opened and she peeled out into the brightly lit up doorway. The floor was a wooden dark color, just like in the Circular Cabinet. And the walls were a light yellow.“We must have arrived in Lumpusberg,” she muttered to herself as she stepped out of the room and closed the door behind her. She looked at her feet and pouted. She wasn't wearing any shoes and she wasn't used to walking around barefoot. She however sighed and walked into the doorway, walking towards the end of it where there was a turn. She kept walking until she reached the staircase and went down it gently.
After dinner was over, Wayne took Olive to the balcony and had them sit and watch the moon that was almost full. It reminded both of them that they would be fully mated and recognized by the moon as one, as soon as it became full.“I'm scared,” Olive spoke up as she was leaning against Wayne's chest. He was sitting on a resting chair and she sat in between his legs.“About what?” he asked and smoothed her hair.“The future. What it holds for us after now,” she answered.“Do you mean after we're mated successfully? Life after that?” Wayne inquired.“Yes. That's what I mean,” Olive answered. Wayne chuckled deeply and placed a small kiss on the back of her neck.“You don't have to worry about that. Everything is going to be all right, okay?”Olive exhaled and didn't reply. But after about a minute, she decided to ask a pressing question.“What are your plans for us?”Wayne furrowed his brows and strained his neck to look at her face.“What do you mean?”“I mean, what would be the outcome
Wayne was super fast that Olive felt like she was chasing the wind. Did they say the cheetah was the fasted animal on land? Seriously? She growled at him as she saw his back fading away into the distance. They had just started racing but she was already out of breath. She slowed down and began to breathe way faster than she used to. Man, what a mate! Why couldn't he just calm down? She sat on the road there, at the edge of the woods and waited for him to come back. She wouldn't kill herself just because she wanted to race with her male.About a minute later, she saw him tearing through the wind and towards her. Before she could blink two to three times, he was already standing in front of her, his bushy and thick tail waving in the air and his graceful body standing elegantly.Wayne's black wolf was really beautiful and mighty looking, but could its beauty be compared to a mesmerizing all-gray wolf with blue eyes and fur so smooth it looked like silk?“Could not keep up?” he asked in
Wayne would add ingredients and whisk eggs in a small bowl. Then he would leave it and take out toasts from the toaster. Olive watched as he took fresh bread from its package and poured the whisked bread onto the sides, flattening them with a bread knife.“Are you gonna keep watching me or come here and give me a good morning kiss?” Wayne spoke up without turning to look at her. She peered at his working hands and gasped.“You can cook?” she asked.“What I wanted was a kiss, not a question,” he stated with a frown. Olive smiled and walked up to him. She hugged him and kissed him.“Good morning,” she said and he smirked.“You finally don't look like Eve,” he replied. Olive gulped down and shifted from him.“Why didn't you wear me a dress or pyjamas?” she asked while looking away from him and tucking her hair behind her ear.“And stop myself from having a free show of the garden of Eden? No thank you,” he answered and went to the frying pan. He turned the flat egg over and let it cook f
