Gael's (POV)
It's been a while since my encounter with Turstin. I can't believe just how rude he was. If I had known the man I had a crush on was this rude, I would have shunned my feelings for him a long time ago. He isn't worth it. He isn't worth my time for a bit.
The door suddenly flew open and someone walked in. I was going red with anger, thinking it was Turstin, but I immediately beat down my anger when I saw another guy. He had beautiful blue eyes. He was putting on faded jeans and a t-shirt on a long white doctor's coat.
“Hi, it's good to see you awake, Gael.” The strange guy said. I creased my brow in a frown when he mentioned my name. I don't know him, but how the hell did he know my name?
“H…hi, have we met before?” I asked.
He let out a light chuckle which showed a perfect dimple on both sides of his cheeks. Goodness! What the hell is going on? First it was Turstin, and now it was some strange guy whose identity I know nothing about.
“I know you must be surprised, since I called you by your name.”
Good thing he knew why I asked the question.
“My name's Jeremy, but you can call me Jerry if it pleases you,” he said, winking at me in a seductive manner that almost sent me shivering with nervousness.
“You don't have to feel that way. I'm sorry if it made you feel uncomfortable,” he instantly said.
“How long have I been out?”
“Well, it's been a week since the Alpha took you here.”
“Alpha, Who's Alpha?”
“Goodness! I totally forgot that you're human. Do you have no idea how our community actually works? Well, the thing is, he took you here because he, uhm, unintentionally hit you.”
I folded my hands into fists. Thinking about what had happened earlier made me mad. How could I be so stupid as to keep silent when he asked me a question? He was the one who hit me in the first place.
“I can imagine why you're emitting such anger, but you shouldn't blame him. He's always this way, but if you get to know him, you'll find out he's actually a nice guy.”
Did he just say he was a nice guy? I scoffed silently.
“Tell me, why can't I move my whole body? Am I perhaps crippled?”
Jerry suddenly chuckled at my words.
“Though you may be a human, trust me, no one goes crippled under my watch. All I want you to do is relax and have a good rest. I actually came to give you a shot, so you can have a good rest.
“Fuck! I hate shots! Isn't there another way to make me feel better?” I asked.
“There's no other way, I'm afraid. I can only treat you the way a human being is to be treated.”
Wait a minute, why does he keep mentioning humans? It's not like he was an Alien. I also noticed Turstin used the word human on me earlier.
“You don't have to be scared, Gael, you won't feel painful because I have a way of administering mine. All you have to do is to stay calm and let me make you feel okay.”
I nodded my head in agreement.
For some reason, I feel so relaxed having Jerry around. This was unlike me. Instead of hospitals, drugs, and shots. But here I am, in the same hospital I hate, about to take some shots, and I'm perfectly okay with it.
The moment Jerry gave me the shots, my eyes instantly became heavy, and just like that, I slept off.
*********
I woke up again, and this time, I perceived a sweet scent of apples. Goodness! Why am I perceiving apples? The last thing I remember was the fact that I was in the hospital, and there were no apples in the hospital.
I quickly peeled my eyes open, only to find myself in the same room.
“Hi!” I heard someone say sharply. I titled my head stress fully toward the direction of the voice, only to see Turstin with a smiling face. Thought you might need some apples, so, I got you some."
I creased my brow in a frown. Why does he act so differently?
“How long have I been asleep for?” I asked.
“A day,” he replied sharply.
This is strange. The Turstin I saw yesterday was entirely different from this one. He was seemingly more calm and attentive, I'd say.
“Do you need apples?” He asked, carrying the tray of apples to my side.
I simply nodded while staring at him, confused.
“Here,” he gave me an apple, which I reluctantly accepted from him.
“Uhm, sorry about what happened to you, but you don't have to worry, I'll come see you as much as I can.”
“What happened to me? You clearly were the one who hit me.”
He suddenly made a sad face that made me regret my statement. Maybe I shouldn't have said that to him. Perhaps he was sorry about what he did, and me bringing up what he did must have made him sad.
“I'm sorry for what I did. I promise to take care of you from now on.”
He said while staring into my eyes. Seeing him up close, I can almost say he meant what he said. The way he stared at me made my throat dry. Has anyone ever told this man, he has a way of sending poor hearts into disarray?”
“Don't stare at me that way, Gael, I don't know, but I seriously don't want to lose myself now.” I immediately tore my gaze away from him. Goodness! Was it that obvious? What the hell is wrong with me? I should have known I'd be this restless. I should have known, all those nights I had wet dreams about him. I had always wondered what it would be like if I were ever to meet him face to face. Who would have thought that I would actually lose it this much?
“I have a question for you, though, Gael?”
I took my gaze back at him, to listen to his question.
“Have you perhaps heard of me before now?”
My heart skipped instantly. What should I say now? Yes? No? If I say yes, I'll be too obvious, and if I said no it'll seem as though I were lying. I mean, he knows my name and that only meant he must have found my ID.
“I-”
“I'm sure you don't know me then,” he interrupted.
I couldn't have felt more relieved when he answered the question on my behalf.
GAEL (POV)I woke up to yet another day, after taking Jeremy's painless shot. This time I was awoken by the sound of fingers working on a laptop. I took my gaze to the opposite side of my bed, only to see Turstin, yet again, working on his computer.I had no idea how he sensed I was awake. Just as I stared at him, he suddenly lifted his gaze to my direction.“Hey, pretty boy, you're awake!” He said with a beautiful smile on his face. I blinked and almost blushed when he smiled at me. In order not to make another fool of myself, I slowly took my gaze away from him.“Hey, do you need me to get you something to eat?”“I'd appreciate that,” I managed to say. Today was better because I was able to lift myself up. Jerry was right. He told me so long he's the one taking care of me, I'll never get crippled. Good thing I trusted him.“Good, I'll go get you something to eat then,” Turstin stood up to leave. Just then, I remembered something crucial that I'd been meaning to ask him.“Uhm, ex
TURSTIN'S (POV)“Has he gone?”“Yes Alpha, Turstin, Alan took him home.”I took a quick glance at Jerry because of what he said.“You mean he let Alan take him home?”“Exactly, Alpha. Seems your mate can't tell the difference between the four of you.”I wasn't supposed to feel annoyed by this, but I just couldn't help myself.I was mad at him for crossing the road. What a way to find my mate. Just when I had found my mate, he turned out to be a man, and not just that, my other brothers are also mated to him as well. This has never been heard of. Not in my pack, not in the packs beyond.“Do you not think Alan will take care of him?”“Far from that, Alan is in love and would do anything for him. What I'm worried about is how this naive mate of ours couldn't even tell us apart!” I said with so much anger.“Oh, now I understand your pain. I'm sure I would be mad as well. But I think this is for the better, if you ask me.”“Oh, why do you say so?”“Actually, to be honest, this is actually
Gael's (POV)I paced the floor of my room, and got lost in thoughts. I had many things in mind. Okay, as much as it was tempting to get an interview with this world-famous man, I just couldn't help but hesitate about the whole situation. This was because it was just too good to be true. But foremost, I need to report to my boss and explain things. This way, I wouldn't end up being laid off from work. Turstin... I hope I never get to see him again. Though he's still my first crush, not thinking about him for now will do me a lot of good. For now, I need to get it together, and go to work. I have to know the status of things. **********I walked into Mr. Graham's office, which was always open. “Hello, Mr. Graham, I apologize for not being around these past few weeks. “Mr Gael, you're finally here! Please do take a seat,” Mr. Graham said with a bright face, which made me wonder why he had such an expression. “How are you feeling now?” He asked with so much interest. “Huh?” Just th
I called for an urgent meeting with my three brothers, Thale, Cole and Alan and asked them about what they plan to do with our mate, since we all share the same mate. “Well, if you ask me, I think I want to have our mate laid already. My wolf is dying to see what our mate has got,” Alan says flirtatiously. “I second that brother, I mean he's fine as fuck! It took all the self-control in the world to stop me from kissing him until his lips begged to be freed from mine.” Thale seconded.I couldn't help but scoff at my horny, trapped brothers. I had known way before that my brothers were just too horny and might mess things up. Good thing I gave the instructions for no one to touch him yet. It was an important matter that needed careful thinking. The boy in question is human, and he doesn't know a thing about our kind, and I'm afraid he's going to reject us if he finds out. I took a glance at Cole, who seemed quiet the whole time. Ever since he found out about Gael being our mate, he
“Brother, don't tell me you agree to this madness!”“No, Cole, I know how you feel, and you might think my decision is ridiculous. But actually, I'm doing this for you and me. You don't like him, and I don't know if I like him either, so I think this will be beneficial to both of us. “I'm not interested in this shit, Turstin. I don't like men, and I don't think I'll ever bring myself to liking what I hate!“I understand you, Cole, and trust me, nobody is going to force you into doing that which you don't want. Never say never until you give him time. I'm sure we'll figure out something. We both know Alan and Thale wouldn't reject him, so it'll be terrible of us to hurt him, knowing our brothers already like him and have accepted him.”“Well, I think I understand where you're coming from, since there's nothing we both can do, let's stick with your decision then,” Cole agreed. “I have a question, though.”Cole took a quick glance in my direction. “I'm all ears, Alpha,”Cole responded
Gael's (POV)Standing in front of the coffee shop, I couldn't help but feel nervous. I met Turstin for the first time outside after our encounters at the hospital. Honestly, I don't know what to think or feel at a time like this. This was more like a date. Else, what do I call a meeting between the both of us at a coffee shop. I walked into the coffee shop and found myself a place to sit. It was quite relaxing here. Never would have thought such a place could be this warm. I looked around, and noticed that there were just a few people inside the coffee shop. But of course, Turstin is a celebrity and I don't expect to see him in a very crowded place, or do I?”“I waited for 20 minutes, while looking at the entrance, hoping to see him, but for the past 20 minutes I'd been in there, I didn't see even a shadow of him. Maybe he isn't coming. I quickly took out my phone and texted him. The last time we had a text talk, he told me he was around the coffee shop, even though I didn't see a s
I couldn't help but notice that he's this way because he hadn't had sex before. Fuck, just the way I like them. Innocent and pure. Goddess help me, I wonder how long I can control myself. I want him, fuck!“Gael, why don't you come with me, there's something I want to show you,” I said, hoping he wouldn't notice something was off.“Oh, okay,” Gael replied. I quickly stood up and led the way, while Gael trailed behind me. Since I owned the restaurant, it wasn't that difficult to find a quiet place. Knowing Gael followed me without complaints, my wolf couldn't help but feel delighted. He wanted what he wanted and so did I. The moment we were far away from earshot and the reach of outsiders, I quickly turned around and grabbed Gael by the collar and jammed him a bit harshly on the wall. Before he realized what was happening and asked questions, I immediately crashed my lips on his. And began kissing him.The moment my lips touched his, the electrifying current ignited and I almost lost
The moment I got home, the first thing I did was rush into my bathroom to wash my face. After washing my face, I looked in the mirror with a heavy breath. I still can't believe what I did back there. It was supposed to be a simple date, but it turned out wild. But then I wondered why I had to slap Turstin on the cheek. I slowly raised my right hand. I can't believe I used these hands to slap the man I had been crushing on. How stupid of me! Not only that, he had also confessed to the fact that he likes me. Does this mean our feelings for one another are mutual? If that should be the case, doesn't this mean that I have no issue with being with him, then? Arrghhh! Why am I this confused? “Gael calm down, will you? This is not a death sentence. After their first date, Turstin asked to meet him the day after tomorrow. This means I have another date with him. Jeez! I couldn't help but feel hot at that very moment. The mere thought of being with him alone, gave me this tingling kind of
***Gael's POV***“You must be shocked to see me here, don't you?”“Well, I would like to believe that everything doesn't revolve around me, and for that, I will not ask questions that might not have anything to do with me.”“How so? Why don't you try asking so you can decide whether it's because of you or not,” she replied with a grin? This doesn't feel comfortable. There's this thing about Victoria I don't strike comforting, even though I do not know what that is. “So, why are you here?”“It's simple. It's because of you. How does that sound?” She answered with a smile. “You see, I find that challenging to believe, and I mean the fact that you're here because of me.”Victoria chuckled when I said this. “You don't perceive when to tell a joke, do you?”“Well, I'm sorry, but there's ever a little time for jokes in my life,” I replied, not impressed in the slightest. “Why don't I believe you? I mean, if there's nothing special about you, I don't see why the Barclays are all engross
**Cole's POV***When I heard Gael pleading with my brother's about going to a friend's party, at first, I didn't like the idea. I thought it was better that he didn't attend. But when they all refused him and seeing how sad he became, I felt troubled. I mean, why should I be troubled when they are only trying to look out for his safety. At that moment, an idea struck. If there's anyone Gael isn't interested in, it was no one else but me. I certainly do not want to do this if I truly wanted Gael to pay me any mind. When I finally agreed to him going to the party, I noticed there was a spark in his eyes. He must have truly wanted to go to his friend's party. “Alright. I should get dressed to leave,” just as he was about to leave, I quickly grabbed him by the hand and pulled him back.“Are you just going to leave?”“Huh?”“I thought you were going to, you know, appreciate me for letting you go to the party.”“Oh…" He muttered and stared at me for a few minutes, slowly he leaned in and
**Gael's POV***With Tracy being here with us, it seemed as though the table was complete. To be honest, Tracy is such a nice person to talk to and one reason I like her naturally. “Tracy, I heard Gael came over to your place. You know, I was just telling Gael about how stunned I was to know that he actually came.”“You're right. You had no idea just how happy I was that day. I never expected that he'll come, but he came anyway, and I'm still thankful that he came.”“This is good! Let's drink to it, guys,” Greg said, proposing a toast. We all drank to our hearts content and with a smile on our faces. I was glad that I was able to reconcile with my friends. This was something, I never thought, was possible. “Now that we are on the topic, I would like to extend my invitation for my birthday, which is coming up this weekend. I would be glad if you two could attend.”“Wow! Happy birthday in advance, Tracy,” Greg said. “Thank you…"“So you'll be a year older by the weekend, congratulati
**Gael's POV***“Gael, I'm so glad you finally decided to meet me,” Greg said in excitement. “Oh, please. I feel ashamed for not being the kind of friend you actually need in your life.”“Huh? What makes you say that?”“A lot of things. I mean, you're my friend and I don't check up on you as much as you check up on me.”“Don't be like that. I understand you man. You didn't check up on me because you were running from the big wolves.”When Greg said this, I froze. This was the reason I decided to see him. He still doesn't know that I've reconciled with them and that I'm living in the mansion once again. “Uhm, Greg?”“Yes.”“I have something to say to you. But first, I want you to promise me that you wouldn't freak out.”“Freak out? Wait, did you kill someone?” Greg asked wide-eyed. “The hell! No, I'll never do such a thing.”“Well, that's literally the only thing that can make me freak out as it is.”“Oh,” I muttered. Hearing him say this, I'm kind of confused if I should tell him a
**Victoria's POV**As soon as I was informed that I had a visitor, I quickly rushed to the visitors room. To my greatest surprise, it was no one else but Tracy. She seemed to be pacing around but stopped the moment she laid eyes on me. “Miss Victoria, for barging into you when you're busy,” she said, walking over to meet me.“No, of course not. That's not the reason. I'm actually here because I wanted to see you. Tell me, what's going on? You seem to be in a good mood.”“You're right, I'm in a good mood,” she said, smiling from ear to ear. I creased my brow, wondering what could have happened. “So, are you here to share the good news with me?” I asked, taking a seat. She took a deep breath and took the seat next to me. “You see, I want to thank you for the encouragement you gave. I actually took your advice when you said I can't give up on him just like that. I didn't give up and, you know I pulled some tricks. I'm still shocked that it worked for me.”“My goodness! Do you mean G
**Gael's POV*These brothers are so unpredictable, I swear. Who would have thought that Turstin will get us to do it in a garden. He's got no shame at all. He's totally shameless!“What are you thinking about? Do you think this is the wrong place as well?”“Well, it's all the shades of…I don't even know what to say.”“Let's be open to new things.”“Open to new things in the garden you mean?” Turstin nodded his head while staring at me. I could see a laugh in his eye and I couldn't help but wonder if he meant what he was saying. Just then, he began to walk closer to me, while I moved back. I don't know about doing it in a garden because that has never once crossed my mind. “Gael, don't be nervous. It's not like I'm asking you to die. I just want to spice things up,” he said in a deep voice, and he grabbed me by the waist.“Tell me, honestly, why do you want to do it out here?”“Okay, I'll say the truth. Now that I know my brothers have marked you, I also want to do the same. But I
**Turstin / Gael's POV***I was mad and this was because I came early just so I could spend time with Gael. Who would have thought that he would go out to be with a woman he knows full well has a crush on him. “Turstin, I know why you're like this, but let's be honest here. You know for a fact that I won't be able to do anything with her even if there's a possibility of what you're afraid of.”“Well, I don't care. The fact that I know she's in love with you disqualifies her from being your friend. Take Fred for an example, if you tell me you're with Fred, I have no reason to stop you even though I still wouldn't want to see you with anyone. But then, it's better than seeing you with someone I know likes you.”Even though I had said I wasn't going to disclose my feelings this way, I can't stop myself. “Turstin, I know I can't argue with you about this but all I'm asking is that you give me a little time with her. An hour will do.”“What are you talking about? So, you still have the t
**Gael's POV***Tracy and I chatted for almost an hour. From our discussions, I came to realize that she was actually a free soul. Maybe, just maybe, if I wasn't what I was then I'm sure that I would have considered her my girlfriend because she seems to have all what it takes. “So, let's talk about why you called me. Tracy, is there anyone bothering you perhaps?”“Huh?” She muttered, looking at me as if she didn't understand what I was saying. “I mean, when you called me earlier, remember you said you needed someone to talk to. Could there have been a reason why you were in that state.”“Gael, I'll be honest with you. I don't feel like talking about it now. You've made me so happy that I had forgotten what I was going through to be honest.”“If that's the case, then you don't need to tell me what happened then. My main purpose of coming here is to cheer you up. I do not wish to see you in a bad mood, if you understand what I mean.”“Oh thank you so much, Gael. You have no idea jus
**Gael's POV***The next day, I was supposed to meet with Turstin but he left the mansion to attend to an emergency in his company. Not only that, the others had all gone back to their businesses, leaving just me in the mansion. I wouldn't deny the fact that I felt useless. I wanted to do something worthwhile, but I'm not sure I'll ever have the opportunity to go back to my apartment any time soon. Well, it's not like they are depriving me of going to my apartment. I think it's just me and the fact that I missed them. Maybe I'm here in the mansion because I wanted to be with them for a little while. I sat on the patio, and drank a glass of fruit juice while staring at the clear sky. How I missed this place. It has always been my favorite spot to be. While I was basking in peaceful moment, I suddenly heard my phone vibrate in my pocket. I creased my brow, wondering who was calling me. Looking at the caller, I froze for a few seconds. Why was she suddenly calling me again? I thou
