Graduation!

Writer's POV

Landon furrowed his eyebrows when he heard his father's words. He was filled with confusion and sadness. For some reason, he doesn't want to become the Alpha. He really wanted his brother to rule, instead of him. Ever since he was born, he never thought of becoming the alpha. He knew how hectic it was, just seeing his father spending the whole day outside the mansion and coming back late.

He shook his head and walked away from his father.

"I have no idea what you're saying Father" he said.

Alpha Kai walked towards him, following him behind. He sighed deeply.

"You'll see for yourself on the announcement night. The goddess has chosen you already, don't be surprised when it falls on you" he said and left. Landon kept on breathing hard. He swore that he was going to pretend like he didn't hear what his father just said.

He angrily kicked his bed and grabbed the lintel of his window.

The next morning...

Chloe spin around the bed. She slept quite late after crying herself to sleep. As she almost got to the edge of the bed, she sprung up and rubbed her face.

"Argh!" She groaned softly. She chewed an invincible something in her mouth, trying to remember what occasion she had today.

From the Academy, she heard a loud horn. She suddenly came to her senses when she remembered it was her graduation.

"Holy sh!t!" She yelled and quickly got off the bed. Without hesitation, she rushed to the bathroom and had her bath and brushed her teeth at the same time. She grabbed her beautiful fitting gown and threw herself into it.

She managed to knot it with so much ease. She styled her hair and did a little make up.

When she got downstairs, she realized that her sister and Alice were out of the house already.

She groaned and rushed to the door. It was locked from the outside.

"Fuck!" She cursed under her breath. She tiredly walked back to her room and jumped out of her window. She fell on the wet grass and stained her dress. Her graduation was already ruined.

"Wow" she heard someone's voice behind and saw it was Landon.

"Why are you here?" She asked, not giving him a chance to speak. His deep cut voice had just scared her a little.

"I was at the academy and I noticed you weren't present"

"I.." she stammered.

"Let's go, I'll drop you off" he said and started walking. Chloe rolled her eyes. She was wondering why he was so nice to her. He even opened the door for her. He got into the car and drove her to the academy.

"You can come down, I'll find somewhere to park my car" he said.

"Thanks Landon" she said and left the car. She took her graduation tag and head to the hall. When she got in, she saw her step mother walking to the podium.

It was time to hand over the certificates to the graduating kids.

It had been her father's job but now that he was no where to be found, it's her job. She raised her hand so that they can stop clapping for her.

"Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind gesture everyone. As you know, I'm Alice McConnell, I'm honored to hand over the certificates to you all" she said and started.

The Academy master hand over the certificates to her and she called the names. The first one was Chloe but she rejected it.

"My daughter first" she said, in a whispering tone

"Chloe is the best student" the master replied.

"I don't care! My daughter! Now!" He yelled.

He sighed and started looking for Ivy's certificate. He found it and gave it to her.

"Thank you...so, the first student is my very own daughter... Ivy McConnell"

Ivy sprung up from the VIP seat and walked towards her mother.

"Thanks mom" she said.

"You deserve the very best" she said. They smiled at each other and Ivy went back to her seat.

"Aren't you supposed to..."

"Jeez! Landon, stop sneaking up on me" Chloe shook in fear for the second time.

"I apologize" he said, calmly.

"It's fine... I get scared easily" she said.

"I'll take note of that" he said. They exchanged glances with each other before Chloe looked away. She hasn't looked at anyone before.

"Chloe McConnell"

She heard her name.

"That's me... Bye" she said and walked away.

Landon helped her out of the chair. Alice saw her with Landon and rolled her eyes.

"Stupid" she mumbled under her breath.

Slowly, she walked to the podium and took the certificate from her.

"You both look good together"

"Better than your daughter with Zach" she said and left, taking the certificate from Alice. Alice wished they were not in public, she would have slapped Chloe right on the cheek. She just wore a fake smile on her face.

After an hour, they were done the handing of certificate. The little party started. This was the one Chloe promised herself not to be present for. She was on her way home when she saw Ivy with her friends and also Imogen.

"Oh, here's my step sister. Happy graduation Chloe! My wedding is coming up soon, I'll be getting married to the soon to be Alpha" she said.

"While she will be getting married to... Who knows who?" She added. Imogen furrowed her eyebrows.

"You know you're talking about my brother"

"Yeah, yeah... Whatever. I don't care. He's Landon, the abuser. My Zachary is the Alpha" she said proudly. Ivy frowned. She just watched as Chloe walked away, without making any fuss. She has been thinking Chloe was the bad one but today, she saw what Alice did today and felt disgusted. They made her hate Chloe since day one.

She stood up and went after Chloe.

"Why aren't you waiting for the party?" She asked.

"I don't like parties" she replied, walking faster.

Imogen wanted to run after her to catch up with her. A car was running towards her. Chloe grabbed her hand and pulled her away from the road.

"You should be careful" she said. Imogen stood, shocked.

"You saved me, after what I've done to you" she said.

"What did you do exactly?" Chloe asked.

"I've mocked you, humiliated you, slapped you number of times"

"I really can't remember. Take care" Chloe said and walked away. Imogen was too ashamed to even go after her. She went back to the party where Ivy was. Since she was getting married to Zachary, a lot of people were close to her.

"Where did you go?" She asked Imogen as she sat down.

"Why do you care?" Imogen asked.

"Did you go after Chloe? She's a b!tch"

"You are the b!tch Ivy, not Chloe" she said.

"How dare you talk to the future luna of the pack that way?! Why are you even supporting Chloe? We don't like her"

"I better warn my father about you. You can't rule us" she said.

"You won't dare! We are friends" Ivy sprung up immediately.

"Well, I break our friendship here and now" Imogen said, also standing up.

Ivy frowned. She won't agree to it. She wasn't ready to lose her only friend in the green mansion.

"You can't just break our friendship"

"Really?" Imogen asked. She grabbed a glass of drink and splashed it on her face.

"There! It's officially over!" She said and walked away.

Everyone stood there, watching the drama. They saw how Imogen humiliated her long termed friend.
