Alpha Kai's POV

It's been two days since Alexa and I arrived. I've been so busy with the war preparations that I didn't have the time to go see her.

“Alpha, you look tired. Do you want a massage?” Alexa asks sweetly. Her scent covers my nostrils and clouds my sense of reasoning. I stared at her with a smile on my face.

“Alpha? Alpha?” she calls me. I frown. Why does it not sound like her voice anymore?

“Alpha, do you want me to prepare your bath?” I snap out of reverie and stare at the maid in front of me in shock.

“Where is she?” I mutter, glancing around my chambers.

“Where is who Alpha?” the maid asks, sounding confused.

“She was right here,” I reply, still glancing around and trying to find her.
