Chapter 4
AMBER'S POV
Through my bloody and battered face , i managed to see the Boys everyone was paving the road for.
They were simply beauty. Their faces seemed carefully sculpted by the greatest sculptor, they all had brown hair. One had the deepest Jade eyes I had ever seen and in those eyes was a cold look, the other had dark eyes, dark eyes that had a sense of mysteriousness to them and the last who had a little smile on his face had warm brown eyes that made me feel sick with the desire to look into them.
All around, people jostled me in every direction, trying to get to them and I felt more pain in my body, but even as they all ran to get close, I saw they maintained a clear distance and I could hear as the girls called their names. It was there I discovered they were called The Triple Terror.
These guys were angels, I didn't understand why terror was added to their names.
They went and sat in the auditorium, probably wanting to watch the contest, not knowing it had ended. The last one talked to the first and he had an angelic smile that had me mesmerized.
And just then, My wolf spoke to me and what it whispered into my ears left my ears ringing.
It said. "Mate."
It whispered it over and over again and I looked at the Triple Terror and wondered how on earth they would be the mate of a weak Omega like me.
~
In class, as I opened my books, I heard the girls whispering, they were still very much excited from the arrival of those too-good-to-be-true guys.
"Actually, my rings caught his attention. My dad had them made specially for me, wrought of the finest Gold and Silver there is. I saw him glance briefly at it! Oh he noticed me! Very soon. You'll hear news of us dating. " A girl chattered excitedly and I turned to look at her.
"Never. You're not their type. My heartthrobs are for me and me alone. Wanna hear something freaky? One of them is my mate. It'll be announced soon enough." Another girl said and I listened to them argue even though I knew deep within me that my Wolf was right.
~
The next day, I happened to walk into the garden by chance and spotted one of the angels.
My first reaction was to hide behind a trimmed bush and from there I watched him. He was in a soft white sweatshirt and white sweatpants and one of his hands were in his pockets. His eyes were closed as he held a delicate flower delicately to his nose. He seemed to love flowers as he stood in the midst of them. At that moment, he looked like he had fallen from the sky. He opened his eyes, probably sensing my presence and the fiery jade eyes glanced my way and I immediately hid myself properly.
I waited for minutes, wondering if he was going to come and ask me what I was doing but when I checked, he was gone. Then I walked to the flower he had been sniffing.
It was a Freesia, I stared at the lovely yellow of its petals and sniffed it. The scent was heavenly.
~
The next day after that, I had decided on something really crazy.
We were having sports and I had gotten a whole bunch of Freesias. What was I about to do with it? I smiled to myself. I was about to give it to the delicate angel sitted on the auditorium with the other two angels. I had learnt their names. They were triplets. Brandon, Aramis, and Joey. I had also heard other awesome stories about them.
When they were all called down to prepare for the sports, I made my way carefully over to them. Although, I noticed that no matter how much the girl fawned over them, they kept a little distance. I wanted to give the flowers safely without them noticing.
When everyone was concentrating, I walked slowly over to them, however, when I was a few steps away, all three of them turned and stared at me. How did they sense someone coming closer so fast when there were a lot of people around?
My heart skipped and I stopped for a while, contemplating, going back. Despite the intimidation I felt, I put my hand into my bad and brought out the flowers and I presented it to him. The one with the Jade eyes.
His hands were in his pockets and he looked from me to the flower with an indifferent look.
"Wow." The one with the brown eyes said with sarcasm in his voice and everyone turned to look at us. I turned red immediately but froze in anticipation as Brandon brought out his beautiful hand with long slender fingers.
It all happened in a flash. He took the flowers from my hands and flung them away and turned and crossed his arms, listening to the teacher.
Everyone's mouths fell open and I felt absolutely crushed.
~
Since that incident, I had avoided the Triple Terror as much as I could and everyone taunted me about it, calling me names, telling me things I hated to hear. The bullying had increased. They were outraged I had dated propose to their star but I was just extending a hand of friendship. Since he seemed to like the flower.
About a week passed until the faithful day when my worries multiplied.
Everyone had been talking in hushed tones with worried expressions and from the little I tried to pick in their conversations, it seemed like the Triple Terror were mad about something and they were to be avoided when they were in anger because no one would hold them for anything they did since their clan was the power core in the Kingdom. And they were extremely vicious and merciless in their anger.
As I continued to listen to all these while pretending to arrange my books in my locker, a girl ran passed us and screamed.
"What's the matter?" A random girl asked.
"The teacher asked me to give this to Brandon! " She said and everyone went silent before they broke out in serious conversation. "Please save me. Can anyone go in my stead? " She asked and everyone shook their heads immediately and tried to continue their duties and then I felt a horrible shove.
"Give it to him." Came the voice of one the strongest bullies that bullied me. Marcus was a Senior and an Alpha that didn't mind inflicting pain on me. I trembled even if I hadn't experienced the anger of the Triple Terror.
The girl hurriedly dropped the book in my hands and everyone began to cheer me on in mockery. They led me to the private chambers of the Triple Terror which was part of the school building, only it was on the highest floor.
Then they all left. I gave a knock and the door opened. With fear in my heart, I pushed open the door gingerly and as I stepped in, the door slammed shut. The lighting was dim but I could still make out the things in the room.
Then I saw Aramis on a sofa with one arm over the head and he put his foot on the center table forming an upside down ' V '. His dark eyes at the moment, held no emotions, it was clear that he was truly angry.
On another sofa, was Joey with his headset round his neck and his arm on a propped up leg and his brown eyes lacked the warmth I saw in them the first time I saw him.
But where was Brandon? Just then I noticed a figure next to me and discovered Brandon had been next to me all along.
I jumped in shock. He was leaning against the wall. His hands in his pockets and his green eyes seemed scary.
Then he stood upright and walked towards me, I took involuntary steps back.
"You." He said in a deep voice and I felt like a bird caught in a nest. Right then, I knew it was to be the beginning of my troubles.
Chapter 5.Just as I had predicted, ever since that day, my troubles at the school had doubled. The Triple Terror used me as a tool to vent my anger. They bullied me and the whole school seemed to enjoy it.It was then I realized why the word Terror had been attached to their name. If I was opportuned, I'd have picked the bullying of the whole school if only theirs would stop. They made me carry their chairs and tables and follow them wherever they went just for the fun and everyone who saw me laughed. I tried to take it all in, I was just a Weak Omega and all that there was for an Omega was this type of treatment. The triplets made me write their notes, made me say and do silly things just to entertain their classmates. And they let the girls beat me up whenever they were in a bad mood. My roommates didn't help. After school, I should have been relieved that I was going to have a break but they made me do all manner of things for them. They said all manner of words and constantly re
Chapter 6AMBER’S POVI was dreading that moment when they would call me at any time. The room they had given me was nice and comfy, but they were the triple terror. Who knows what they had in store for me?I also found it hard to sleep for two reasons which were, I was in a place where I wasn’t familiar with and then I was living with the opposite sex. Anyways, nothing was bound to happen as they had no regard or feelings for me.In the middle of the night, I heard a knock on the door and I wondered who it could be.“Who is there?” I asked as I held my duvet, tight, to myself.“I still have to answer that, in my house?”It was one of the triplets, but I couldn’t tell who it was, just by his voice alone, so I stood up and opened the door. It was Aramis.“I’m sorry. I…I guess I am used to it.” I stuttered, without maintaining eye contact with him.“I need a cup of coffee. I have work to do and I am feeling sleepy.” He said, without an expression on his face.“Oh, alright.”It was a bit
Chapter 7AMBER’S POVAs she left, my heart felt like it was going to come out of my chest. That was a threat and there was no way I could get away from here. This was a place that I was unfamiliar with and I would still be at a disadvantage if I run from here.Neither Moon Hunters Pack or this place was good. I looked at the ceiling, not having anything to do and then I heard the car moving downstairs, so I checked my window and then I saw the trio with Dana, leaving the house. At least, it was better as I was all alone right now. There would be no one to make me feel scared or uncomfortable. Then my eyes spotted the swimming pool, I got interested in going near it, because of the way it looked. I have never been near a pool and it wouldn’t hurt to go near one right now.I went downstairs and was amazed at how cool the pool looked. Then I bent down and sat near it, making my legs enter the water. It was a really soothing experience and I couldn’t stop my legs from playing in it.Then
CHAPTER 8 I believe it's safe to say that I've learned a thing or two in this my short miserable life. We weren't all created equal, there's a really remarkable standard that keeps hovering around, somewhere above the clouds. These standards do well to keep each and everyone of us in check, preventing certain uncertainties from falling out of place.Out here, it's a two way street. No intersection, No junctions, just a straight road with no crooked ends. The rules are quite simple, be the predator or be preyed on. It's an obvious notion, in this story I'm inevitably the queen prey.Do preys try to resist? Do they run? Are we to hide? What are the odds of surviving in this cruel realm where every odd seems as though it's against the weaker species? All these I thought in that moment with Dan standing right in front of me, taking remarkable strides towards me, with every tick and tock. It didn't come as a surprise when he had pinned me to a wall. His breath fanning down the reigns of m
CHAPTER 9The pain that emanates from the inevitability of not knowing what happens next is so sharp and succinct. It mars you only to mar you again. A thing about the past is that it never leaves you, no matter how promising the future fit's into the canvas' frame, the wound remains fresh. Creating a constant reminder that you'd never really heal from it. I hadn't healed from the accident that happened a few years back, it never really looked like I was going to heal.I relived every day, every moment, creating conspiracy theories that'd have prevented the accident from happening. These thoughts marred me, only to mar me again.I was there again, all blood and broken shards. Staring down below the battered figure that had become of my brother. I could no longer see the smile he usually wore when we went out on night's as these. I could no longer see those bright sparks that lingered within the hearth of his eyes and the thought of never seeing them again made me shed out an ocean. I
I narrowed my gaze as Brandon put his arms over neck and slowly pressed his lips on my cheeks.I gulped down, my hands shaking vigorously and my legs which were beneath the table paralyzed at his single action."Oh my gosh! What?! It's true." Their mum screamed in excitement."Really? Brandon really?" He rolled his eyes feeling a bit pissed."Hey, don't be such a bad eye." Aramis teased.Everyone knew what was going on except their mum. I couldn't help but think, why would he introduce me as his girlfriend? Won't it make things weird when their mum sees me cleaning the kitchen or scrubbing the triplet's room? These three guys are turning my life into a nightmare. I admit there was a time when I saw them as angels but honestly, even the devil would show more pity than they showed me."Amber, I'm so sorry I didn't recognize who you are to my son much earlier." She smiled softly."Uhmmm… it's fine ma. Can I call you mother?" I asked, trying to spice up the drama a little."Awwwwn, that w
Chapter 9AMBER’S POVAs I saw Dan, who tried to molest me the other day, I could feel my anger rising.~Flashback~I could not believe the fact that this man had the gut to try to molest me. He was just too strong for me, but I was lucky enough to release myself from his grip after biting him hard and I ran as fast as I could, towards my room and locked the door, behind me, so he wouldn’t run inside and have his way with me.My heart was pounding hard in fear and I was having regrets of allowing him inside and trusting him easily and listening to his stories, which were beginning to seem like a lie. I couldn’t hear his footsteps around anymore, instead, it was going farther away from my room.Had he given up already? If that was the case, I would love that as I wouldn’t want to be messed up by a filthy stranger, who claimed to work for Dana.~Back to reality~I pointed my finger at him as I moved, steps, backwards.“Why are you pointing your finger at him?” Aramis said, with his righ
AMBER’S POVAs I slowly regained consciousness, the world around me came back into focus. The throbbing pain in my head and the stinging ache in my neck reminded me of the horrifying events that had just unfolded. Brandon had choked me, his grip tightening around my throat until everything went dark. The next thing I remember was being thrown violently onto the floor, the impact leaving me gasping for breath and struggling to comprehend what had happened. As I blinked my eyes open, I found myself lying on the bed in my room. Confusion swept through me like an icy gust of wind, leaving me disoriented and frightened. As I remembered my last memory before I passed out, I felt relief, wash through my veins. Then I noticed someone standing by my side. It was Aramis, who was staring at me with no emotion seen on his face.“I passed out.” I said, with both my eyes, moving left and right, simultaneously.“Yeah. Well, at least, Joey’s camera, saved you from death. Now that you are awake, I’ll
AMBER'S POV"Oh my God." I whispered as Joey took off silently and jumped out my window. The door opened fully but I was still looking out the window, then I turned sharply and saw Brandon looking at me with that cold look in his eyes. "Why do you look so scared?" He asked and I bowed to him and went to my drawing of family and hid it behind me."I'm... I'm not scared Young Master, I was just startled."I said and saw his eyes go towards the drawing. "Drop whatever is in your hands and bake some cookies for me now." He said and left my room and I waited for a few seconds before checking down the window for Joey but I didn't see him anywhere there.I kept the drawing away in my drawer and left my room quickly for the kitchen.I brought out the things I needed to bake cookies and began to relax as I saw all was well. Then I watched Brandon who was watching a channel on the television and I wondered why he had to be so cold. Going to his company had made me see him in a new light. All t
AMBER'S POVWhen I opened my eyes, I was in my room and I sat up immediately and checked around to be sure I was really in my room. I stood up and checked myself to see if the scratches from the woods the previous night were still there. But there was nothing there, even if there was something, it would have healed. How did I get to my room? I knew for sure that it couldn't be a dream just because I fainted and the next minute, I woke in my room. Then my door opened and I almost backed into the wall in shock. It was Joey and he came to me.I bowed to him and he sat on my bed and patted the spot next to me, meaning I should sit.I sat gently as faraway as I could and he looked at my arm."The scratches healed pretty well, they were rather deep." He said and I looked at my arms." Did... Did you save..." I started to ask and he looked at me."Thank you." He said and I looked shocked because I couldn't believe he was thanking me. What was he thanking me for?"For what? You saved me." I s
AMBER’S POVFear gripped me and I didn’t know what to do. Now that Aramis and Brandon whom Joey didn’t want them to know about this, were now in the sitting room, what were we going to tell them?I looked at Joey’s hand. The camera was right in his hand, and his brothers had clearly seen it. There was no way out of this, anymore.“So, you went ahead to take pictures with your camera, again, right? Despite telling you to quit this useless hobby of yours!” Brandon shouted.Although, they were triplets, but Brandon seemed more like the older one, and he was respected for the way he handled things. It was certain that Brandon was going to destroy the camera, with his kind of expression, right now, and all those pictures that were taken, would go to waste.Just as I felt so bad when Joey burned my favorite book, I knew it was going to hurt him, if his camera was broken. I wasn’t as wicked as him, so I wasn’t happy about that. Just before Joey could speak, I interrupted.“It’s me.” I said,
AMBER’S POVIt felt as if my whole world, burned as my favorite book was burning and I could only watch in tears and a broken heart. “Now, it’s all done.” He said as he moved closer to me.“But you know, you are indebted to me. My camera helped you escape the brink of death. You should appreciate me, and you will do that, obviously, by doing whatever I want, or I’ll kill you myself.” Joey threatened, close to my ears.I shivered, wondering what exactly the things I was going to do for him, were. I hoped that they were not the things that would bring me closer to trouble.~The next day, I was woken up by Joey’s knock, which wasn’t that loud, but sharp enough for me to hear. I could have ignored, but he was sharp enough to have noticed that I had woken up after his knock, due to the change in my breath, and all. I was going to be dead meat if I pretended to still be asleep.I stood up to open the door and when I did, he dashed in and closed the door, quietly.“We are going somewhere.
