KANE

Pure shock was written over Maya's face and My Dad's, they couldn't believe their eyes. Maya's scream pierced through my ears.

"That's not my child, this was edited." She was panting as she spoke. She turned towards my father holding his face in her palms, "Videos like this can be edited, isn't that right Thane?" She asked with tears pooling her eyes.

My Dad nodded, "There's no way Sierra would do such a vile act." He agreed.

Alpha Erin laughed, "I know you're in shock that's why you're denying the evidence right before your eyes."

"There's no way the video is fake, you can verify its authenticity if you like," Claire said with a grin on her face. I could tell that she was enjoying this as much as her father.

"This is not true.." Maya shaking her head in denial, "Sierra would never hurt Zane."

"Something is wrong somewhere." My Dad agreed nodding his head. My dad's wrinkles deepened as he frowned, the past hour had been so stressful on him that he appeared to have aged more than

SIERRA"Get me the hot coals!" Alpha Elvis shouted he was fuming in anger.I trembled at the mention of coals, I knew he would do anything to hurt me, his eyes screamed anger. I knew he wasn't going to hesitate to hurt me with anything he wanted. My eyes flickered to the surroundings, it was empty save from Beta Orion who stood with a large grin on his face, I didn't need a soothsayer to tell me that he was enjoying the scene before him."Now look at that," Alpha Elvis turned to Beta Orion with a smile on his face, "She's scared of me." He looked excited as he pointed to me with his index finger.I shook, I wanted nothing more than to enter into the ground and die but Alpha was taking his time, he was careful enough to know that he didn't hit any vital part that would take my life while he was sure enough to hit me so hard that I wanted to die.We were in a room with no door and window safe for a few boxes that lay on the other end of the room. After taking me away from my so-called f

KANEI closed my eyes as a sharp pain ran up from my thigh and reverberated all through my body making me want to pull my hair out and cry. The pain I felt was not mine, I could tell that it was Sierra's, she was going through a series of pains that it was probably too much for her to handle."Sierra, She's in trouble." I was panting as I managed to walk, and my legs shook as I hurried away from where I stood, we were on our way back home, but I couldn't walk properly because of the pain I was feeling.I turned to Dane, "Can you track her?" I asked groaning. If I was in this much pain, I could only imagine what Sierra could be going through."N… no." He stammered holding his head, "There's this sharp pain in my head." He groaned. "I can't concentrate."I tried to breathe it out, I tried to close my eyes and concentrate on the mate bond trying to locate her but it was impossible, all I could think of was trying to ease the pain that I was feeling. My legs gave way, I flopped down on th

THANE"King Erin! King Erin!! King Erin!!!" The chants were getting louder as the army drew closer.Maya turned to me with wide eyes, "Isn't this treason? What are we going to do?" She was glancing over her shoulders in fear."Relax Maya." That was the only words I could say. This was purely treason, they had already crowned another person as their king and they were chanting his name. For the look of things, Erin had taken time to carefully plan this. He had reached out to numerous people and had successfully poisoned their minds against me."I will take care of it," I said walking towards the inner rooms with Maya in my arms. "First, we need to get you to somewhere safe.""What about Zane?" She asked."That's where we are going, you'll stay with him while I try to reason with them, hopefully, they will calm down." As soon as the words left my mouth, I regretted saying it, a loud crashing sound filled my ears, and one of the rebels had driven straight into my mansion creating a crack

KANE"Calm down Kane, let's trust Dad," Dane said trying to calm me down, I couldn't stop pacing about the room."Calm down?" I scoffed in disbelief, "how can you be calm when everything is in chaos?" I asked staring at him."But what can we do other than trust Dad and let him do what he thinks is best," Dane said trying to act reasonably."Yes, there's nothing we can do, but we could have prevented this from happening." I snapped, I knew this wasn't his fault but I couldn't contain my anger, our decision had caused this."How?" He asked, "Just pack up let's leave.""We could have rejected Sierra and none of this could have happened!" I shouted."Look Kane, we decided to accept her and bear the consequences in case you have forgotten." Dane's words stung but I was past caring."I wouldn't have done so if I knew that the consequences were this dire." I covered my face with my hands.I felt Dane's hand on my shoulder, "Relax Kane, everything will be fine.""No," I shook my head, "Everyt

KANEI stepped into the way, blocking off Erin's attack. Our weapons clashed hard. My eyes landed on Dane running out of the mansion with an unconscious Zane on his back and Maya by his side. Before Erin could notice what was happening, I immediately averted my gaze.Erin needed to be distracted so they could leave and that was my assignment."This fight isn't for little boys." Erin huffed angrily, he moved his foot so discreetly but I was quick to notice, Using one hand to hold his weapon, I blocked his leg with the other hand. In one swift movement, using his leg, I threw him off me.He flew a few metres away from me but his legs were strong so he landed on his feet.My eyes quickly flickered around the mansion, Dane and the others were no longer in sight, they had managed to escape, I heaved a sigh of relief as I turned back to Alpha Erin."Not a move you expected from a little boy huh?" I sent him a mocking smile. For once, I was grateful for the numerous battle classes that Dad h

ERINI watched as the dagger meant for arrogant Kane sank deep into Thane's chest, and he fell to the ground in pain. The young man knelt by his side as though checking if he was alive. He threw a glance at my way before picking his father up and running into the forest."Thane," I said softly to myself, "you left just as I imagined," I laughed watching as the young man tried to balance the weight of his father as he ran."That stupid child thinks he could stand before me?" I laughed recalling the look on his face when he saw his father was wounded.I called after them, "Keep running, slow down and my dogs would have your legs for breakfast."He could hear me, the wind carried my voice down into the woods. "Thane never considered his weight, he was proud of those muscles, now see him weighing you down." I mocked as I watched Kane slow a little trying to adjust his wounded father in his arms."Should we go after them?" My guard who led the reinforcements asked.I turned to him, and beh

SIERRAMy throat ached from screaming too much earlier. The snakes were harmless, but I just had to be quiet in a bid to conceal my presence so they wouldn't notice me. My entire body trembled as they glided around me hissing."Seems you made a bond with them so soon witch!" Beta Orion spat not bothering to look at the red bite marks on my skin. I watched silently as he picked them up, placed them inside a basket, covered the lid then took them out. I heaved a sigh of relief as he left, finally a moment of peace. The cut in my head didn't stop bleeding, I could still feel its warm sensation as it trickled down my head. My eyes landed on a piece of clothing lying a few feet away from me, I tried moving towards it but it was impossible with my hands and legs tied together. I only ended up falling on my side. Pain ran through my entire body at the impact caused by the fall. The door creaked open Beta Orion came in.His eyes stared at me hard, "You moved didn't you?" He asked angrily.I

SIERRA"What are you doing in my house?"Claire asked me.I raised my brow in question, "What do you mean your house?"I asked in return wondering if Claire had finally gone mad."This mansion now belongs to my father, Alpha Erin."She said smiling as she folded her arms in her bosom proudly."The last I checked, I live here and you know that," I said trying to walk past her. I was tired, hurt, and bruised, I wanted nothing more but to sink inside a warm tub of bath water with roses and lavender soaked in it with my mother standing close to me.Her eyes were fixed on my bloodied head, thankfully, the bite marks had vanished leaving just the cut on my forehead and it was healing gradually."You think I'm kidding, if you don't mind, I can show you the evidence."She said moving an inch so I could take a glimpse inside the house. The inner court was a mess, I could see blood on the ground as though a war had just been fought. I could also perceive it in the air, the smell of fresh blood. My

SIERRAThe darkness wrapped around me like a second skin, thick and suffocating. The cold air of the cave seeped into my bones, making me shiver. I was back. Back in the cave with them. The vampires stood around me, their red eyes glowing in the dim light. Their faces twisted with anger and impatience, their expressions a mix of hunger and frustration. My breathing quickened, my pulse racing. I had escaped this place. I knew I had. But here I was again, trapped like an animal in a cage. One of them stepped forward—the elder, his sharp features unreadable. He looked at me like I was nothing more than an inconvenience, something standing in the way of his freedom. His cold, thin lips curled into a sneer."You think you can leave us here to rot?" he hissed, his voice smooth but laced with venom. "You think we’ll just sit back and do nothing?"I swallowed hard, forcing myself to stand my ground. "I don’t know how to help you," I said, my voice unsteady but firm. "I barely understand what’

ZANEThe moment I heard that howl, my heart stopped. It was Sierra. I would know her howl anywhere. My chest tightened as my wolf stirred inside me, howling back in recognition, even though I didn’t make a sound."Did you hear that?" I turned to Kane and Dane, who were flipping through the latest useless book we’d found on ancient spells. They froze, their ears twitching. Kane tilted his head, listening. “Is that—?”“Sierra,” I confirmed, already moving toward the door. “That’s her.”Dane stood, his jaw clenching. “You’re sure?”I didn’t stop. “I’ll never forget her howl. Let’s go.”We shifted without another word, our wolves surging forward with renewed energy. I felt the wind whip through my fur as we raced toward the cave. The closer we got, the more her howl cut through the air, louder and more distinct. She was alive. She was waiting. When we broke through the tree line, I skidded to a stop, nearly crashing into Kane. There she was. Sierra. In her wolf form, she was pacing, tail

SIERRAThe sound of running water grew louder with every step I took. My heartbeat quickened as I hurried toward it. I didn’t know what I’d find, but it felt like hope—something I hadn’t felt in a long time. Finally, I came upon it. An open stream, crystal clear and flowing freely through the cave, its gentle sound echoing off the walls. Relief washed over me. Water. A small sign of life in this cold, suffocating prison. I knelt, cupping some in my hand when I heard footsteps behind me.Hazel. Of course, she’d followed me.“What are you doing here?” I asked, standing up quickly. Her silver eyes glinted under the faint light of the stream. “You wandered off. Someone had to make sure you didn’t kill yourself accidentally,” she said dryly, stepping toward the water.“Hazel, wait…”Before I could stop her, Hazel stepped forward, her foot brushing the edge of the stream. The moment it made contact, a blood-curdling scream erupted from her lips, echoing violently through the cave. The sound

SIERRAThe words wouldn’t stop ringing in my ears. "You can't stay trapped in your own spell." What did that even mean? Did I create this spell? Was the person I saw really me? The woman looked so young, beautiful, and powerful. Her aura was captivating, radiating an energy that demanded respect. Me? I was barely keeping my fire powers from spiraling out of control. How could I compare?I leaned against the cold, damp wall of the cave, trying to make sense of it all. My head was pounding from the shock I’d gotten earlier. My body was screaming at me to rest, but my mind wouldn’t let me. The pieces didn’t fit.A shadow loomed over me. I looked up to see one of the vampires—Hazel, I think her name was—watching me curiously. Her eyes were sharp, but there was a flicker of something softer beneath them.“How are you holding up?” she asked, crossing her arms.“I’m fine,” I lied. My voice came out steadier than I felt. “Just… a bit hazy.”Hazel raised an eyebrow. “You’re a terrible liar, yo

ZANEI could still feel Sierra’s voice echoing in my head as we walked away from the woods. Her words, her plea for us to figure out how to get her out of that cursed cave, kept playing over and over again. My hands clenched into fists. My wolf was restless, itching to do something, anything. But for now, all we had was silence. Kane, Dane, and I hadn’t spoken a word since we left the forest. We reached the edge of the pack’s territory, where the air felt heavier. Kane broke the silence first. “We’re wasting time.”Dane shot him a look. “And what do you suggest, genius? The werewolves made it clear they couldn’t remember how they spelled that cave. They told us to give up. Did you forget that little detail?”Kane growled low in his throat. “I didn’t forget. I just refuse to accept it. They’re lying.”I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. “Whether they’re lying or not doesn’t matter. What matters is Sierra is still in that damn cave. And we’re going to get her out.”Dane crossed hi

SIERRAI whimpered, my body shivering from more than just the cold. The shock from earlier was still buzzing through my veins, lingering like a bad memory. My body hurt all over, and my head felt like it was going to explode. I tried to push myself up, but the dizziness almost knocked me out again.Looking around, I realized I was no longer in the cave. The dark, damp stone walls had been replaced with thick, snow-covered trees. My breath caught in my throat as I took in the scenery—a forest, but not the kind I recognized. Everything was still, frozen, as if the world was holding its breath. And winter. It was so cold. My teeth began to chatter, and goosebumps spread across my skin.I shivered and hugged myself, trying to warm up, but something felt… off. It wasn’t just the cold. There was something eerie about this place. I could feel it in the pit of my stomach. Then I heard it—voices. Quiet, almost muffled. I strained my ears, trying to make sense of it. Slowly, I started to move t

SIERRAI couldn’t help but roll my eyes at the vampires as they laughed, their mocking tones echoing in the cold, damp cave. They were right about one thing: I wasn’t capable of killing them. Not right now, at least. But damn it, I was going to make them regret underestimating me.“You think you’re scary?” one of them sneered, his pale face twisting into a grin. “You think you can take us down? You can’t even kill a fly.”I clenched my fists at my sides, my heart hammering in my chest. I could feel the fire in my veins, the beast inside me clawing to get out. I wasn’t backing down. Not now. Not ever.“Try me,” I spat back, my voice steady, even though my heart was threatening to beat out of my chest. They all chuckled, clearly not impressed. They thought they had me figured out, but they had no idea. No idea what I was capable of, what the Moon Goddess had shown me. The vision I’d seen, the warning, the feeling, it meant something. I knew it.The vampires exchanged looks, their amusem

SIERRA“Enough!” I snapped, turning my glare on the elder vampire. My voice was razor-sharp, cutting through the tension in the room. “Stop threatening me. I’ve had it with your games and your smug attitude.”Her smug smirk widened, but she didn’t respond, just raised an arched brow like I was some amusing little thing. Before I could fire off another retort, Dane’s voice boomed from outside.“If anything happens to Sierra, you’ll bear the consequences, vampire!” His tone was laced with venom, and I could hear the fury trembling just beneath the surface. The elder burst into laughter, her amusement almost musical, but it grated on my nerves like nails on a chalkboard. “Oh, sweet boys,” she purred mockingly, brushing her perfect hair back with a casual flick of her wrist. “It’s such a bad idea to threaten the people who are holding your mate hostage. What exactly do you think you can do from out there?”“Try us!” Zane growled, his voice fierce and unrelenting.“Stop it, all of you!” I

SIERRAMy fingers brushed against the side of my neck where the bite still burned, the sting sharp and relentless, like a constant reminder of how completely screwed I was. It wasn’t just pain—it was humiliation, fear, and anger all wrapped into one throbbing wound. My glare was locked on the woman in front of me—no, scratch that, the vampire in front of me. There was no mistaking it now. She wasn’t just some random lunatic who had cornered me and decided I looked like a snack. She was something otherworldly, something I hadn’t believed existed outside of myths and horror stories. When she first attacked, she was a gnarled figure with sunken eyes, stringy hair, and pale, almost sickly skin that looked like it hadn’t seen sunlight in centuries. She was terrifying in the way a shadow in the dark is terrifying—something you can’t fully see but know you should fear. But now? Now, she had transformed into a vision of beauty and power, like some cruel cosmic joke designed to mock me.She lo
