Sibyl’s POV

We looked at each other for a few seconds and Nuri continued to patiently clean my body.

But I know the atmosphere between us has changed.

I regret saying that because it sounds like a complaint, even a request.

Nuri's family died because of the royal family, and it is not for me to complain in front of him about the life of a crown prince.

What happened today has nothing to do with Nuri. It was my father and servants who mistreated Doyle, not Nuri.

I bit my lip and stopped talking.

His large hands touched my body, and I could feel the calluses on his hands from his sword.

“Is that why you went to the palace today?” His voice was calm, and I could not tell his mood.

"Yes," I replied.

"Your brother -- how is he?"

Is he concerned about Doyle?

"He was sick, but the servants kept him in his room. The doctors refused to treat him. When I saw him, he was convulsing in pain," my tears fell on Nuri's hands.
