14 Do You Regret It?

Nuri’s POV

When I got home, Sibyl was still asleep.

She was lying in the bed where we made love last night. Her long brown hair lay algae-like on the pillow, her cheeks were rosy and delicate, and her eyelids were visibly swollen from her crying last night.

Her swollen eyes were not as pretty as usual.

The warm sun shone in through the window, gilding her sweet face with a soft golden light.

I sat on the chair across from the bed with a book in my hand. But God knows I can't read a word. My eyes are fixed on Sibyl as she sleeps.

After a while, she woke up.

She yawned, then wrapped herself in the quilt and laid lazily on the bed. Although her eyelids were swollen from crying, her eyes were still as clear as water. She was lazy and dazed when she first woke up, looking at me blankly.

I feel like I can't talk all of a sudden.

What am I supposed to say to her?

If she regrets what happened last night, will she blame me?

She came to her senses and ducked under the covers like a fish, breath
