Starr's POV
It was a lot more quicker than what I even imagined, and less exhausting than what he had made it seem. It was as though I moved through wind. There wasn't a stain of blood on my shirt, perhaps that of the man whom I had used a shield from the arrows being shot at me.And here I was, standing tall as I had expected, with his men all slain and having their blood be like the decoration of the entire room. I could only admire the fear that rested on his face, the shock that caught him when he finally saw that he was alone. He crawled backwards with his hands, trying to avoid close contact with him while I walked closely towards him. There wasn't an iota of fear springing up within me, there was this confidence that was stirred up within me that he couldn't do anything. His face was battered, that was his new trademark. His nose was precisely broken, but when I stared again, it wasn't as broken as I had expected. I had expected that afterStarr's POVAgain, I knew that name. For a moment I froze while I stood, and there I was lost in the thoughts of this man.Every pack had its rival. Every alpha had his own rival, and I was certainly not an exception. This man, Gomez, he was a powerhouse, someone who even more powerful than the way he looked.Another would stare at me and would have different thoughts of how I would battle them out, and eventually they couldn't match my strength. But he was an exception, having to look very huge and intimidating, and battling him was something very intense. He was the alpha of the rogue wolf pack, and just when I thought of the rogue wolf pack, I turned around and looked out through the window. A thirty minutes drive would actually be enough to catch up with the rogue wolf pack. The loan shark's mansion was seated in the middle, like the border which separated the rogue wolf pack from his. I looked through the window, straining my eyes to the farthest which my eyes could go.Giovanni
Starr's POVI sat on the chair, with my head rested on my table. In all sincerity, I had never felt nore nervous in my life about battle than that moment, having to recount my last experiences. When I thought that my anger and fury over Arianna's absence was like an amplifier for my strength and skills, this Gomez of a man had to be the one who reset my brain at the right moment and remind me of the things which my father had tried teaching me just before he passed away.He taught me of how my sense of reasoning was going to be blocked by the cloud of fury, and how my moves and strikes would be fueled by my strength and also how my opponent would use it against me.Well, his words were triggered by when the rogue wolf pack and ours were in a form of battle, between the princes of both packs, and I had to be the one to represent mine.He was young as I was, but even at that young age, I couldn't help but get frightened to some extent how huge he was. Others would tell me of how built m
Starr's POV"Arianna!" I whispered her name with a smile on my face. The whole inhabitants of the house had rushed out with the same level of anticipation like I had.I couldn't believe my eyes at that point, constantly blinking my eyes at regular intervals just to be sure that what I had seen was truly her, and it was truly herI stared at her face. Her face was squeezed, toughened and roughed with things I couldn't understand. I could see traces of blood stains on her face, red spots which had ruined her beautiful face, things that made he look quite unrecognizable. But as lovely as her spirit was, her smile pierced through that bruised face. Even though her smile wasn't as wide as what it seemed to be, the fact that she was alive and was back to me after days was enough happiness for me.I could see her lips trying hard to part open, and I could hear her whisper my name, though in a weakened tone. My impatient legs had already moved at a fast pace, moving towards her, standing at v
Starr's POVI sat at the side of the bed, where she laid. I held her fingers in my hands, staring at her roughened cute face and also looking at the doctor intermittently. He forced her eyes open and then checked for the things which I couldn't tell. My heart was heavy yet I couldn't peel my eyes away from her. There was just one concern which filled my thoughts and my heart. My concern was her health. Was there going to be a positive response from the doctor after all the things he had done? That had better be the case because I don't know what I would do without her. I still haven't told her that she was actually my mate. I wanted to let her know that she was mine and had always been mine. Soon, the doctor ceased all of his touching, and immediately packed up most of the things which he brought. I was still uncomfortable with the fact that another man was touching her but I had no choice. Her health supersedes any jealous emotions in my being. I watched the doctor's quiet demeanor
Abby's POVI think my time there was going to be more splendid than what I could ever explain, because, I was more than blown off my feet at the very way he showed off too much care and love to me as he thought of me as Arianna.Things had occured before I could even utter a word. Right from the last time I had set my eye on Arianna, and I told her of how I was eager to ride on her mate and make her feel the pain.I walked away and then thought of moving out of the rogue wolf pack towards Starr's home. Oh how eager I was to actually activate the things which I had in mind for him.I wanted him to enjoy some part of my company, mostly up to seventy percent of my stay there. That way, he would actually think of me as his love and would never suspect something of such nature. And then the time to strike would come, and surely he would be blinded by the events of our bonding process. But then he had called me to order, and he had spoken of things which I never thought of twice "In as muc
Abby's POVHe asked me about what had occured the night before Arianna got been kidnapped. Giovanni had not narrated the entire story to me. For the first time I would have to say, the master strategist was not really the master at explaining things which could being up a controversy as such.I mean, he was the same who had told me of how my looks would make him suspect me of being his mate's doppelganger, and what would happen next would obviously be unbelievable to even myself. Why then would he not have told me of what had happened between them both before Arianna suddenly appeared at the rogue pack?I had to use my intellect. That was the right moment to actually put what others had said about me into action. When he had asked me, first I did was grin as though there was this certain pain I still felt around my body. True, my legs had ached so bad, and my entire head was still burning even after the effect of the scorching sun against my head. But that was just a manoeuvre to act
Abby's POV.He had invited me over for breakfast. At first point, I was never surprised. The last time I had resided with him, he did same to me. But there seemed to have been a difference with today's invitation.I had just woken up after long hours of having to rest. I remember telling him how my head actually ached too much and wanted to rest. I remember how he drew me closer to himself sjd held me tight in his arms, stroking my hair gently and calmly with the cool winds having to actually touch my skin.Again, he was unknowingly doing something to me which I couldn't just describe. It was as though he was intentionally pouring out more emotions on me than I could even handle.I wasn't there to actually fall in love or have mood swings with the man who murdered my parents. Rather, vengeance was the main pursuit, the zeal which had forced me to travel on my legs and walk towards this place. But there I was, even with the rededication I had made within me towards the goals I had laid
Abby's POVAnd I awoke with the Reminisce of that event last night, the time of my life where I poured out all of my feelings and sexual desire upon a man, and not just any random man, the one whom I had planned to execute due to how cruel he was to the ones who had birthed me.I was still trying to get over the sweet experience of the previous night when all of a sudden, I heard a gentle knock on the door.He was not around the room. Only the heavens could tell why he wasn't there on the bed with me. I looked towards the clock which laid on the table, and the time dead few minutes past the second hour when the sun had first shone its light for the day.Perhaps I was the one who had overslept due to how cuddly I was and how my memories wouldn't let me have peace with what had happened.Anyways, I stood and opened the door. And with the greatest surprise of my life were three maids who stood out there with a smile on their faces, kneeling and greeting me with smiles on their faces that
