I was stunned to silence by what she said. I looked back as if someone could hear my conversation with her. I moved further away from the dining room. “Repeat what you said.” I was doubting my hearing now. I didn’t know if I heard her right or I was hearing things. “Yesterday, she changed in a hurry, and it got me to wonder why. So, I went and checked the shirt she wore.
