Zelene Sallow:
I heard Yuna cry and instantly hung up the call to check on her. My heart was already filled with contentment after hearing her little cries. As I re-entered the room, since I had actually strolled outside to focus on what my mother was saying, I found the brothers standing around her, staring at her with expressions of worry on their faces. I couldn't really tell if they were concerned because she woke up or for some other reason.
But if they were expecting her death, I would be furious and not at all surprised. I reached her and saw her holding a pen in her tiny hands.
"Who gave her this?" I yelled, carefully taking it from her grasp and turning to look at them with nothing but anger in my eyes.
"He did," both Shane and Axel said in unison, pointing at Oscar, who straightened his back with a shocked expression.
"I was trying to help her calm down," he argued, still not understanding why I was so angry at him.
<Zelene Sallow: "Eh! What are you accusing me of?" she exclaimed, stepping back from me. I knew I was making a wild guess, but it was the only conclusion I could draw. How coincidental was it that I hadn't eaten or drunk anything until she offered, and right after that—poof! I couldn't remember a thing. "You should be the one looking guilty because I was the only one being nice to you that night, and you slept with my boyfriend, my chosen mate," she began to yammer, yet her eyes kept darting back to me, as if she was trying to convince someone that she was innocent. I didn't have time to look behind me. I wanted her to tell me the truth. "You were not being nice. Whatever happened that night occurred after you offered me a drink. What did you give me? And why did you do that to me?" My voice rose as I thought about everything, and emotions surged through me as I lunged at her, gripping her arms to force an answer from her. Ther
Zelene Sallow:"Come on, stop this crying drama and get it over with. The sooner you do it, the faster we'll leave, and you can return to taking care of your daughter," Lady Jewel's tone and attitude suggested she was doing me a favor and that I was wasting time by not hurrying up to go back to my daughter, who might still be alone.I realized there was no escape. I couldn't muster the courage to stand up for myself or object. So, I nodded, and as I was about to turn to Jessica, a pair of hands snatched me off the ground and lifted me to my feet. It happened so swiftly that I felt as if the wind had blown me away to the side. I looked up and saw Shane standing beside me. His grip on my waist was gentle, but his hand holding mine applied significant pressure."Shane!" Lady Jewel sounded displeased as she called her son's name."What is going on here?" Shane yelled, not particularly looking at his mother but fixing his gaze on Jessica, who
Zelene Sallow:"What do you mean when you say she can finally see?" I asked, tears blurring my vision. I couldn't believe he said that."Nothing. I was just mentioning----" he tried to come up with an excuse, but the way he avoided my gaze suggested that he knew something I didn't."Shane! Tell me," I insisted, holding his gaze without breaking eye contact."I—I mean, not just me. The others also noticed that Yuna doesn't respond to voices or follow our hand movements. So we thought maybe she might be---" he trailed off, realizing I had broken down as soon as I grasped everything.I sat down with Yuna, sobbing uncontrollably, while snapping my fingers around her. They were not entirely wrong, though. How could I have missed this before? My heart felt like it had stopped beating, and my breaths seemed insignificant. It was as if someone had drained all hope and energy from me."I don't think she's b
Zelene Sallow:"You never mentioned having a twin," Oscar and Shane trailed behind me after an exhaustive search for weresin-related materials in the vast library."It's unbelievable that such a crucial subject has only one surviving book, and even that one was mostly destroyed," I murmured, rolling my eyes at the two of them.Shane was still clinging to Yuna, and I was growing impatient with him."But the book stated—," Oscar interrupted, darting in front of me and blocking the entrance to Shane's bedroom."Move! It's been too long, and I need to feed Yuna," I groaned, feeling irritated, and only then did he step aside. Finally, I could cradle my daughter and sit down on the couch when I noticed the two of them shamelessly standing there, completely disregarding my need for privacy."Could you please give me some space?" I objected, and Shane slapped his forehead for being thoughtless, turning his back along with his brother. It was incredibly annoying to have them hovering around wh
Axel Leon:Ever since I discovered the chance that Yuna might be both blind and deaf, I couldn't find any peace.A sense of restlessness gripped me so tightly that staying home for the night became impossible.I chose to head out for a match when Jessica's messages started flooding my phone. The very last thing I wanted was to argue with her, which seemed to be the trend lately. Our dynamic had shifted. Or perhaps I should say, I had changed.I had seen Jessica as a friend for some time, but then after the heartbreak, she convinced me to accept her as my girlfriend to help me move forward.Nevertheless, I hadn't truly moved on."Yes?" I answered her call wearily, perched in my car on the street, anticipating my turn to step into the ring."Do you know what happened at the mansion today?" she began, her voice choked with hysterical sobs."Jessica! What's wrong? Why are you so upset?" I questioned, utterly perplexed. She seemed to be gasping and crying as if she had lost her wolf."I wen
Zelene Sallow:Upon waking up, I realized I was alone in the bedroom with Yuna. It was hard to believe I had slept through the entire night like a baby, aside from a few hours when I had to tend to Yuna. But overall, it was the best sleep I'd had."Hey!" I smiled at Yuna, but the reminder of her condition slowly erased my smile. The bedroom door opened simultaneously, and a maid walked in, carrying a tray loaded with food. The mere sight of it caused my stomach to growl."Alpha Shane isn't in the room," I quickly informed her as I watched her place the tray on the bed.I didn't want them to later accuse me of letting the food get cold when I could have informed them that he wasn't in the room."I know. He had asked me to leave food for you on his bed," the maid said as she continued arranging the items on the bed table. I was taken aback. Not just by his actions, but also by the realization that I was restricted to eating only what was provided for the maids. But now he had instructed
Zelene Sallow:"But where are you headed to, Zelene?" Mom asked as she followed me down the hallway. She had returned just a minute ago, and I had asked her to lend me a black dress."I'll let you know when I get back," I replied, hastening into her room and leaving Yuna resting on the bed."But Zelene! If the brothers ask me where you went, what should I tell them?" she persisted, and I let out a sigh. Why do I have to answer the brothers, anyway?"Tell them I'm not running away without my daughter," I rolled my eyes as I rummaged through her bag. There wasn't a single decent dress that would be suitable for the evening."Mom! I'm taking this," I discovered a black nightgown, and to be honest, it looked much better than any of the other dresses. It was somewhat revealing."Just a nighty?" Mom sounded utterly puzzled. However, I had already dashed into the bathroom and swiftly put it on.As I wore the nighty, I couldn't help but notice how nice I looked. I was a beautiful being, yet n
Zelene Sallow:"Oh my God! I'm so sorry," I exclaimed, raising my hands in dismay and inadvertently dropping the bottle, causing the glass to shatter and the mess to escalate."Ugh!" he groaned, removing his mask to clear his eyes and hair. I only stole a quick glance at his face before scrambling to my feet."I never should have come here. I'm not experienced enough--," I managed to stammer while stumbling into the door, at which point his secretary or guard, whoever that man was, burst into the room to check on the disconcerted man.I had soaked him in alcohol, and treated him to an impromptu wine shower.I didn't stick around to face their reprimands; I bolted back to the room where I had changed into the outfit. This time, I swiftly changed in the bathroom while tears streamed down my face, my own foolishness overwhelming me."Is there anything I can do right?" I berated myself aloud, sobbing, realizing that I had lost the opportunity to earn some much-needed cash.'Don't put all
