Chapter 32: Awake

Lilith POV;

Immediately I opened my eyes, it felt as though a huge burden had been lifted off my shoulder. I had never felt so at ease in such a long time and, surprisingly, I felt energized. It must've been because of the encounter with the goddess.

Just then, I heard the door open and the running footstep almost immediately.

"Your Highness," I croaked out, just as he approached me and, without further thought, embraced him.

The goddess had shown me a few things, especially about how he had worried about me. He was really in love with me and didn't need me for any agenda.

"Lilith! You're…" he turned towards the door, "Get the doctor!"

I didn't think there was a need for that, but I said nothing, tears streaming down my face as I thought about how I'd lost my life and caused him so much pain.

"Are you okay? Is there anywhere hurting you?" He glanced at me, checking my body as though he was going to find injuries or signs that I was unwell.

I chuckled. "I'm fine."
