This will be a short bonus story. I hope you like it!
I woke up a few hours later. My neck was a little itchy; it was probably from his mark. I could feel my mate sleeping next to me, his arms wrapped around me as though to stop me from escaping. I didn't move in hopes not to wake him up. I looked up to him. He was so irresistible with his messy hair and frown. He was the most handsome man I've ever seen, and he was mine. I watched him sleep, his chest rising and falling softly. And then realization dawned. I had a mate! How was this possible? How could a rogue, a feral wolf, have a mate? I needed to tell my father about it. What would he think? Will he ask me back? My mission was compromised! Fear gripped me from within at the thought of failing my father. I was too deep in thought to notice he was awake until he caressed my cheeks, and sparks flew through my skin. I met his gaze, and they glistened with love. I felt deep sadness and excitement. We held each other's gaze silently before he spoke, " What is your name, love?" he asked
" Let's take a walk," he said, taking my hand and leaving the building. We took a long walk together, smiling and satisfied at the serenity of our lives. I was happy, we were delighted. I stared at Khai, and a sudden sadness came over me. He wasn't part of the plan. Sooner or later, I'd have to tell him my true intentions for coming here. He'd be heartbroken. The rest of the night went well. The next day, I gave him a long kiss, knowing I wouldn't see him for a while. He suddenly turned and smiled at me as he walked out the door. " I love you, Marie," he said, his eyes sincere. My eyes filled with tears, and my heart constricted. I didn't deserve this man. He was great and had love to give me. He should have been mated to a pure and lovely girl. I smiled at him and quickly wiped my tears. " I love you, Alpha," I said, and he exited the room. I immediately grabbed my phone and texted my father, telling him I was ready. As I awaited his response, I rushed to take a shower. I fel
" No, Pa. I don't want to hurt him. I love him," I declared. " No, you don't, child," " Yes, I do," I firmed. " Marie, have you forgotten all I taught you bout wearing your heart on your sleeve? " he barked. I didn't flinch at his outburst. " He's my mate. It's - It's different, Pa. I won't let you harm him or his pack," I looked him square in the eye. " You're not going back there until this silliness is over," he declared, rising to his feet and pacing slowly. He was resolute about his decision, and I was determined. " I am," My father and I had been going at it for days. He didn't want me to go back to my mate. He didn't say it but thought it would be losing me. He doesn't think I'd want anything to do with him or the rogues who have been my family my whole life. However, after assuring him of my love and loyalty, which would falter if he attacked the packs or any other innocent pack, he let me return to my mate. I promised to call him twice a week to chat with him. I w
He was different, like we weren't embracing a few minutes ago. His body was shaking with anger. " Please don't do this," I begged again. " Get out before I lose it," he growled; this time, it was a command I couldn't resist. He was an alpha- A powerful alpha, and I was a rogue. I wasn't as strong as my father to fight an alpha's order. With shaking left and trembling hands, I exited the office. I sighed, my breath shaking. I listened by the door as growls erupted from his chest and cussed. Tears rolled down my face. He hated me. " Marie, are you alright?" Killian came to me, worried. He looked between his older brother's office and me. I shook my head and threw myself in his arms, crying. The young Silvius hugged me gently until I was done crying. He pulled from me with a gentle gaze and a voice asking, " What happened?" " He hates me," my voice was sore. " No, he doesn't. He was just worried you left without a word. He looked for you every day," he explained. He didn't under
Khai It had been two days since my mate came back. She spoke to me and usually acted towards me, including making dinners and breakfast, but I didn't talk to her or eat her food. She confessed, and she was sorry for her actions. However, I couldn't look past her betrayal. Was I being unreasonable? My wolf thinks we should forgive her already and that I'm dragging this out, but I remember all the lies she told and what she planned to do to my pack and my family. Was I her first victim? Were there other men she had betrayed? Just how many? I thought of Marie as pure and innocent, but her lies tarnished the image I built of her in my head. ' It's not her fault you build this image of her. She didn't say she was pure,' my wolf interjected. George met me at a bar we usually hang out. All the socialites were there. He was in a brilliant mood after hooking up with Eloise, Zuriel's sister. She left an impact on my best friend. " I heard the Luna is back. You must be excited," he said, c
Marie I awoke with a smile, thinking back to last night. We made love, so maybe he forgave me. I sigh and stretch my limbs. I look around the room but am disappointed that he is not there. I went to the shower to take a cold bath, which eased my temperature. However, I heard the door abruptly open, and a firm hand grabbed me and pulled me out of the shower. I frowned when I saw it was Khai and looked down at my bruised arm. " Khai, you're hurting me," I said. I looked back at him; he was seething and angry. " What is it?" He pulled out a phone I hadn't seen earlier and put it in my face. "Khai, why do you have my phone?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. His silence was deafening, and I felt a knot in my stomach. Then, an open message appeared on the screen, and a shock wave struck me. N[ I miss you. I can't wait to have you in my arms, baby] The message read. I sighed and shook my head. N[ I keep longing for you. Seeing you for a week wasn't enough. Marie, I love yo
MarieI paused in my tracks, and they did, too, only momentarily. I plastered a smile on my face. Khai's face is stoic, while Norah has a pleasant, practiced smile. I feel Hope hiding behind my legs, maybe a little nervous. I caress her curls softly. " Luna Marie, hello," " Hello, Miss Norah," I smile at her. We exchanged pleasantries and even waved at Hope. And then we stayed silent. I opened my mouth to speak to Khai but closed it soon after. I don't know what to say to him. " I should go now. We are going for pizza," I said, waving my wallet at him. He nods at me, and I turn, but he suddenly grabs my hand. Tingles appear on my skin, and he releases my hand. " I'm leaving the pack for a business trip," he says. I nodded and glanced at Norah. Are they going together? " Have you packed a bag?" I asked, avoiding his eyes and focusing on little Hope. " No," " I'll pack a bag for you. I'll send it over. When are you leaving?" " Tomorrow, early in the morning," " Okay th
" Good evening," he greeted. " Evening," I smiled slightly at him. " Is everything alright with her?" he asked, concerned for the little girl in my arms. " She's just a little sad," I answer. He frowned and nodded. He went past us to the bedroom. Hope stared at me, her eyes red. " Luna, I'm hungry," I smiled and kissed her forehead. " Supper is almost ready. Stay and watch another cartoon, okay?" I said gently to her. She nodded, and I put her on the sofa. I felt Khai's gaze but proceeded to the kitchen to make dinner. As I made food, I felt Khai stand behind me. " Are you eating with us?" I asked. He didn't answer for a moment but did, " Yes," I could sense his agitation even though I didn't glance at him. Why was he anxious? I turned to look where he was, but he left. I served dinner on the table, and we all ate. I was only conversing with Hope. She told me about her cartoons, but I noticed she didn't look at Khai. My mate had tried to converse with her, but Hope
